Epica Posts Behind The Music Video For “The Solace System”

On September 1st, symphonic metal masters Epica proudly unleashed “The Solace System” mini-album. This EP includes six brand-new tracks, which were written and recorded during the process of latest album “The Holographic Principle.”

To give you all a better understanding of the content and the concept of the EP, Epica released multiple episodes of a behind-the-music series. Check out the third and final part below.

The Solace System was recorded, mixed & mastered by team Joost van den Broek and Jacob Hansen, while artwork was once again by the hand of Stefan Heilemann.

Every Mother’s Nightmare Posts “Grind” Teaser Trailer

Every Mother’s Nightmare just released a teaser for upcoming full-length release “Grind,” with founder and vocalist Rick Ruhl commenting “It’s straight up rock and fuckin’ roll.”

Drummer Lonnie Hammer says: “Recording ‘Grind’ seemed effortless and the whole process came very naturally for the band. Sometimes while recording an album it can get frustrating, like trying to put a round peg into a square hole. This album just flowed through. All the guys did what they do best and we put together a record that has become a monumental part of all our lives.”

Due out October 6th, “Grind” contains 11 tracks – including 5 from the band’s self-released EP, 3 new studio tracks, and 3 live tracks recorded during a performance at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tennessee. The enhanced CD also includes videos for “Loco Crazy,” “Blown Away,” and a new video for the track “Push.”

Details Of New EP Posted By Purtenance, New Song Available For Streaming

Legendary Finnish death metal masters Purtenance are back with a new release! It’s a four-song EP entitled “Paradox of Existence” and it’s scheduled for international release on September 12th through Xtreem Music! Check out the opening song “In the End Only Death Will Remain” in the player at the bottom.

After returning to a five-piece lineup, Purtenance began to work on new tunes, which were recorded during the first half of 2017, and are now released as an EP that follows the trademarked heavy old-school Finnish death metal for which the band is known since its inception in 1989. The EP cover artwork (shown below) was once again made by Chris Moyen, who’s done every Purtenance cover artwork since the debut album “Member of Immortal Damnation” in 1992.

The artwork and track listing are as follows:

Enslaved Posts “Isa” From “Roadburn Live”

“Roadburn Live” is Enslaved’s first official live album, a split release between Roadburn Records and By Norse Music. The album was recorded during one of the band’s headlining shows at the renowned Roadburn Festival 2015, an edition curated by guitar player Ivar Bjørnson.

The 2xLP set was initially released in limited and exclusive Record Store Day color editions and as a webshop gold edition. The record will now be available on black 2xLP, CD, and digital formats on May 19th. In celebration of its release, check out “Isa” below.

In other news, Enslaved has also hit the studio and is now tracking a forthcoming album. Stay tuned for more details to arrive shortly.

Isolert Premieres Full-Album Stream Of Brand New Self-Titled Album

Greek black metal band Isolert premieres the full-album stream of the band’s brand new self-titled album, out now via Bandcamp. The album was recorded during November 2016 through January 2017, and mastered by Dionisis Dimitrakos at Descent Studio. The last track on the album is a cover version of Slayer’s “Evil Has No Boundaries”.

Romanian metal band Sincarnate is pleased to announce the group’s upcoming new album will be titled “In Nomine Homini.”

Svartanatt Announces New Tour Dates And Single

There is a “Killer On The Loose!” Svartanatt returns with a new tour and single following the group’s debut album from back in August of 2016.

This new single will be a stepping stone on the way to writing for a second album, which will be recorded during the summer of 2017. “Killer On The Loose” and the b-side called “Heavy Metal” will be released on the 14th of April. Be sure to also catch the band live:
