Rammstein: Orchestral Sessions For Upcoming New Album Done

Rammstein reveal that orchestral/choir recording sessions have recently been taking place for the group’s seventh studio release in Minsk, Belarus. The album will arrive in 2019, serving as the follow-up to 2009’s “Liebe ist für alle da“.

Motley Crue To Reunite To Record Four New Songs

Glam metal legends Motley Crue, who bid farewell to their fans on December 31st 2015, will be getting back together soon to record four new songs, according to a Tweet sent by lead singer Vince Neil today. In the post, Neil stated:

“Exciting news! I’ll be going back in recording studio in a few weeks with the boys to record 4 brand new Mötley Crüe tracks! Rock On!!”

While no confirmation has been given by guitarist Mick Mars, drummer Tommy Lee or bass player Nikki Sixx, the latter two have recently been working with producer Bob Rock on material, which is rumoured to be for their biopic, “The Dirt,” based on the book of the same name.

Ex-Madhops Members Reunite In Amity Empire – Debut “Lord Of The Fleas”

Three ex-Madhops members have joined up together in a new band called Amity Empire. The outfit have recently been mixing their debut album with plans for a late spring release. A lyric video for the song “Lord Of The Fleas” from that outing is streaming below.

The group’s lineup runs as follows:

Orm Posts New Song “Apotheosis”

The self-titled debut album from epic black metal horde Orm has been set for release through Indisciplinarian on March 24th. Now, the mighty album track “Apotheosis” is revealed through an advance stream available below.

Orm’s debut album will be released on vinyl and digital via Indisciplinarian, with Earsplit Distro carrying the LP exclusively for the US. The band will play a string of Danish shows in conjunction with the new album, and has recently been confirmed for the Metal Magic Festival in Denmark, while also planning more shows for the fall.

Lacuna Coil Posts New Song, “Naughty Christmas” Online

Savage Reveals New Album “7”

NWoBHM act Savage will release brand new studio album “7” on October 9, 2015 via Minus 2 Zebra Records (distributed by Plastic Head). The double disc release will include a complete live album titled “Live N Lethal” as a second disc.

The band’s debut album “Loose ‘n Lethal” (from 1983) became a classic and was the biggest selling independent import into USA in it’s day. The band has had a stop/start career but came back with a vengeance in 2012 with the epic album titled “Sons Of Malice” and has recently been touring in Europe.

Kaine Gearing Up To Record New Album

British heavy metal band Kaine has issued the following update about gearing up to enter the recording studio:

“Today we were hard at work at the rehearsal studio and we are now ready to record the new Kaine album.

“This time we will be recording at Angry Bee Studios who have recently been working with our good friends and MGR Records label mates Monument. Dates for recording are yet to be finalised but we hope to begin next month.”

Opeth’s Mikael Åkerfeldt Talks Gear In Video Interview

Front man Mikael Åkerfeldt and guitarist Fredrik Åkesson of Opeth were interviewed by Marshall on the first date of the band’s recent U.K. tour. They talk about the amps they use onstage, and walk you through their live rigs. Check out the clip below.

Paul Di’anno Cancels Australian Tour Dates

While no explanation has been offered as of yet, former Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di’anno has announced that his planned tour of Australia, which was scheduled to take place next January, has been cancelled. Paul Di’anno has recently been posting new demo tracks online seeking fan reaction. You can check out two songs he recorded with Greek band Prassein Loga below.
