Devilish Impressions Premieres Pre-Release Full-Album Stream Of Forthcoming New Album “The I”

Polish epic black/death metal act Devilish Impressions premieres the pre-release full-album stream of the band’s forthcoming fourth album “The I”, which comes out on September 22 via Lifeforce Records.

Check out now “The I” in its entirety below.

States guitarist/vocalist Quazarre:

“We really wanted this new album to become something really special, thus we worked our asses off harder than ever before and pushed things back and forth to get the best out of it. As a result we’ve got something we are damn proud of, something we believe surpasses everything we’ve done in the past. Although Black and Death metal in its core, the album goes far beyond the boundaries of the genre and I truly believe it will make your hearts beat faster. So, lit up some candles, close your eyes and let it take you on a journey across those twisted visions of ours. It will grant you ascension to dark realms you might not want to come back from…”

Buried Above Ground Posts “Serpent” Music Video

Buried Above Ground just delivered a savage and unrelenting new music video for the track “Serpent,” which can be viewed below. DJ Gunnarson (guitars, vocals) states:

“This time around the video’s concept was less about a concept or story at all, and more about what emotions certain visuals could stir up. We wanted to have a lot of dark imagery that correlated visually with those emotions. Instead of the standard single linear story-line mixed with random band performance shots, we really wanted to create a visual onslaught of different dark and visceral images that created unease and fear in the viewer.

“We felt that the video should be as visually unrelenting, as the song and lyrics are musically. This video is our defining statement to the masses showing what this band is truly all about, as well as how our music should be experienced. It’s also by far the most rewarding video we have ever worked on.”

Vintersorg Posts New Song “Jökelväktaren”

There are only four more weeks to go until the official release date of “Til Fjälls del II”, Vintersorg’s sequel to groundbreaking 1998 album “Till Fjälls,” a milestone in the genre of black/pagan metal.

The album will be released worldwide on June 30th via Napalm Records and available as a 2CD 6 page digipak or as a 2LP gatefold edition. Today a new track comes online from the release – check out “Jökelväktaren” below.

Andreas Vintersorg Hedlund comments: “This song is kind of a sequel to the song called ‘Jökeln’ from the ‘Till Fjälls’ album from 1998. I really wanted to tie it back to that lyrical theme that deals with glaciers. The first episode on that old album is more of an observation of the mightiness of a glacier and how it effects its surroundings, including mankind.

“On the new episode I took a different path lyric wise. It’s much more from an environmental stand point dealing with sustainability. Mankind continues to treat this planet as garbage in some aspects to the point that we actually contribute to melting poles. So, the lyric is about a human being that sees this and tries to address this problem. Still it has a lot of nature scenery-worship-style. The music has both harsh and soft edges with a very powerful chorus.”

A Wake In Providence Posts “A Darkened Gospel” Guitar Playthrough

New York City deathcore quartet A Wake in Providence recently signed to Outerloop Records and released latest track, “A Darkened Gospel.” Last week, the band partnered with Gear Gods to kick off a series of playthrough videos, starting with a playthrough of “A Darkened Gospel” by the band’s drummer, Anthony Adipietro.

Today, a second clip comes online, this time a guitar playthrough by D’Andre Tyre. Check it out below and stay tuned for a drum playthrough of “The Imperfect: Iconoclast” coming next week.

Here is what D’Andre had to say about recording this latest clip: “Filming this playthrough was something I was hoping to do while I was writing this song. I have changed my approach to the 8 string guitar and I really wanted to showcase that in these videos. I’m so glad I got to work with my now good friend, Joe Flannery on these videos. The quality is that of films, and looks so awesome. Hopefully you guys enjoy watching it, as much as I enjoyed writing the song and filming the playthrough! Special thanks for sure to Ibanez guitars, orange amplification, Blackcraft cult and the real MVP’s over at Outerloop!”

Asatta Premieres New Song “3 Dials” From Upcoming New Album “Spiraling Into Oblivion”

Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Asatta premieres a new song entitled “3 Dials”, taken from the upcoming debut full-length album “Spiraling Into Oblivion”, which will be out in stores via Burnout Planet Records on September 2nd, 2016.

Check out now “3 Dials” below.

States Asatta’s bass player Joe Arenas about the song:

“Lyrically, ‘3 Dials’ is intentionally more cryptic/nonlinear than the other songs on the album. It’s the apocalyptic futuristic visions received by an Oracle. The guitar really sets an ominous tone and we really wanted the lyrics and vocals to reflect that same feeling of impending doom.”
