Soulfly Posts Title Track From New Album, “Ritual” Online

Phoenix, Arizona based metal veterans Soulfly has posted a 360° video online for the title track of their forthcoming new album, “Ritual.” You can check it out below. The album will be released on October 19 through Nuclear Blast Records.

Comments vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera: “This song took a long time and almost didn’t make the record. We recorded it as an instrumental and ran out of time in the studio. We ended up having to fly Josh Wilbur (producer) out to my house to finish the vocals. He kept on telling me he wanted more of that ‘tribal shit’ like some of the stuff on our first record and ‘Primitive’. We ended up creating the chorus on the spot and layering something like 12 or 16 tracks of chanting for it. After we heard it and were listening back, we got really excited and were high-fiving each other. Josh just turned to me and said that was what he wanted to hear as a fan, and he was really happy to get that out of me. We both knew it was a new Soulfly classic for the ages and had to be the album opener. I’m really proud of this song and I think old-school fans of my work are going to love it.”

The video, directed by Maciej Pieloch, executes sumptuous gluttony digested in savage death metal as it reveals the twisted feeding rituals of cadaver craving subhumans.

“I’m really proud of ‘The Carrion Eaters.’ It’s super-sick and catchy and rotten to the gore!” shares guitarist Jeremy Wagner.

Belphegor Title & Release Date For New Album Revealed

“Totenritual” has been revealed as the title to Belphegor’s new effort which will be be released on September 15th through Nuclear Blast Records. Explains the band’s vocalist/guitarist Helmuth Lehner:

“It is the most brutally heavy offering we have consecrated thus far. The drums are precise and very technical with loads of breaks, fills and tempo changes. The bass is like a panzer tank. Also the rhythm guitars are complete; utterly aggressive and obscure. You don’t hear guitars like that anywhere with such a massively low tuning. I’m really proud of all we have tracked so far and created for the new audial hellspawn. An honour – this horror!!”

Blut Aus Nord Delays Release Of New Album "777 – Cosmosophy"

Debemur Morti Productions has checked in with the following announcement about delays in the release of the new Blut Aus Nord album:

“Let’s get rid of the bad news first : contrary to recently mentioned on our Facebook page, the last chapter of the ‘777’ trilogy won’t be released in May. Vindsval thinks the album isn’t excellent enough and will work further on it.

“It is absolutely vital that ‘777 – Cosmosophy’ represents a fitting denouement to the trilogy. If all goes according to plan, it will be out at the end of September.

“Now that the bad news has been dispersed, we’re really proud to announce that, 16 years after its original release, ‘Memoria Vetusta I – Fathers Of The Icy Age’ is ready for a proper vinyl release. The majestic artwork was crafted by Valnoir Mortasonge and can be seen here. Pre-orders will be taken soon and we expect this to be released within 4 weeks.”
