Lifeless Finishes Recording New Album

German death metal band Lifeless has finished recording a new album due out next year, with the band issuing this statement:

“Dear congregation of rotten skulls! 2016 is passing away and it´s once more about time to say ‘Thank You’ for another awesome year in the history of Lifeless!

“Besides many club-shows alongside a lot of talented bands we had once again the great honour to share the stage with some heroes from our own youth, namely Fleshcrawl, Pungent Stench, Unleashed, and last but not least the mighty Asphyx who were so kind to invite us supporting their exclusive German release show for current album ‘Incoming Death.’

“What else happened worth to be mentioned?

“Our drummer Daniel got endorsed by Ice-Stix and joined a roster featuring a lot of well known names from the music scene.

“We got lucky being signed by Thunderous – Events & Bookings. They will take care of our bookings in the future. More news on that very soon… 🙂

“The recordings for our new album are finished, so it will be released throughout 2017 finally. Be prepared…

“Thanx a lot again to all Fans, Bands, Promoters, Organizers and Supporters! See you in 2017… Death Metal Victory!!!

Glare Of The Sun Inks Deal With Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records has inked a record deal with Glare Of The Sun, with the label issuing this announcement today:

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Austrian/German quintet Glare Of The Sun to the Lifeforce Records roster. Drown yourself into the deep sea of wide and heavenly guitars. Dreamy, shoe-gazy, epic.

“But wait for it – the massive hammer of doom will hit you soon enough. Unexpected, unprepared, merciless. Glare Of The Sun is beautiful and brutal at the same time. Promising and melancholic, tumbeling at the edge of senses, between falling and rising, light and dark, night and day. Always creating space, leaving it up to you which side you want to choose.

“Experienced musicians of all kinds of genres breaking the boundaries. No rules – no remorse. And that’s also how their music sounds like. Doom meets post, shoe-gaze, prog and several other kinds of music. All is authentic, all is glare.

“In July 2016 Glare Of The Sun booked the Vato Loco Studios of Martin Schirenc (Pungent Stench) to create first album ‘Soil,’ which will be released in January 2017 on Lifeforce Records. Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Bloodbath) and his Unisound Studio Sweden was responsible for the mastering.”

Philadelphia’s Castle Freak today unleashes brand new track “Human Hive,” which is the title track from a forthcoming EP. This new song below is is a gore-obsessed slab of death metal goodness for fans of Repulsion, Pungent Stench, Nirvana 2002 and Impetigo.

Vocalist Andrew Gigan had the following to say about the track: “This was the first song Zak and I got together and wrote for the new EP, and the first song we had written together in over a year. Nuclear Holocaust Signs With Selfmadegod Records

Selfmadegod Records is proud to announce the signing of Poland’s Nuclear Holocaust for the release of the band’s debut album next year. The label comments:

“Nuclear Holocaust is a new band born in Swidnik in April 2015, and since, they have already developed a solid reputation through their straightforward and intense classic grindcore through live shows and festival appearances.

“In August they released the ‘Mutant Inferno’ demo which met with a very positive response and saw the band offered shows at Into the Abyss Festival alongside Dead Congregation, Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench and many others, Mini-Merciless Festival, upcoming shows in Ireland with The Dead Goats and more.

“While Nuclear Holocaust is hard at work writing their debut full-length which will be recorded in early 2016 to tentatively be released during the summer months, the ‘Mutant Inferno’ demo will soon be released as a split cassette through Massacre Distro, a split CD through Defense Records/Mythrone Promotion, and split 12′ on Devil’s Nun Records, in each case accompanied by different bands to be announced in the coming months.”

Blastfest Announces Final Band Confirmations For 2015 Festival

The organizers of the Blastfest have checked in with the following announcement about final band confirmations:

“The lineup announcements had to come to an end eventually and Blastfest has now revealed the final three bands for the main lineup. But that’s not to say what you see on the burgeoning Blastfest poster is all that’s happening. No, no, no, there will be more!

“There’s already a lineup that would bring tears to the eyes of even the toughest metalhead with bands such as Demilich, Satyricon, Decapitated, Paradise Lost, At The Gates & Moonsorrow… and just last week a cruise up the Norwegian fjords with live bands was announced as part of the first days festivities. We still have to hear more… the clinics, the stand up comedy, the exhibitions, and lots more have yet to be revealed!

“For now, let’s leave this here… Sweden’s Uppsala upstarts, the black metal powerhouse, the entity of its own who released possibly their best work to date just last year with ‘The Hunt’, yes, the mighty Watain have been announced as another Blastfest 2015 headliner. The festival has also welcomed Austria’s sickest death metal export Schrinec Plays Pungent Stench and Bergens blackened deaththrash horde Grimfist.”
