Vanhelgd Announces New Album “Temple Of Phobos”

The Swedish masters of aversion and forlorn from Vanhelgd return with “Temple Of Phobos.” While still firmly locked into that unmistakable Vanhelgd sound, it is clear that on “Temple Of Phobos” the band has steered into a much more despondent territory; very reminiscent of the early ‘90s doom.

The album was recorded and mixed at Studio Underjord with Joona Hassinen (Year Of The Goat, Saturnalia Temple, Ocean Chief), mastered by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio (Watain, Repugnant, Desultory), and once again features the ominous artwork by frontman Mattias “Flesh” Frisk.

Dark Descent Records will release “Temple of Phobos” in North America on July 22. The album is scheduled for European release July 1 via Pulverised Records.

1. Lamentation Of The Mortals
2. Rebellion Of The Iniquitous
3. Den Klentrogenes Klagan
4. Temple Of Phobos
5. Gravens Lovsa°ng
6. Rejoice In Apathy

Awe Premieres Entire Pre-Release Full-Album Stream Of Debut Album “Providentia”

Greek black metal band Awe premieres its debut album “Providentia”, a few days ahead of its official release, November 13th, via Pulverised Records. The album consists of three epic songs ranging from 15 to 20 minutes.

Describes Pulverised Records the concept of the album:

“Awe’s debut, Providentia, is a transformative act in three parts about the total violent revolution of man in the face of an absurd, meaningless existence. A proclamation of unrelenting war against the very universe itself. To break every law that hinders the human condition, to conquer everything that is, or perish with it in the flames of the end.”

Majestic Downfall Signs Deal With Pulverised Records

Mexico’s Majestic Downfall has inked a record deal with Pulverised Records. The label had this to say:

“Pulverised Records is immensely pleased to welcome Mexican doom-strosity Majestic Downfall! Fronted by chief doom-commander Jacobo Córdova, whom also splits his alter-ego as Mr. Jacko in death metal act Zombiefication; Majestic Downfall places its musical direction in 90’s doom / death territories with some twists, inevitably causing a very unique clash of darkness, sorrow and a primal sense of aggression. Majestic Downfall is currently working on the upcoming full-length record, details on the new album shall be announced again later in the year.”

Regarding Majestic Downfall’s signing, Jacobo Córdova stated: “I have followed Pulverised Records since the early days, so it is truly an honour to release the new Majestic Downfall with one of the leading underground metal labels in the world. Many of you who already know the band, will be surprised with the many new elements that have been added to the music but still, the core will be the same as always; Doom / Death misery! Can’t wait for this collaboration of doom to take place and thanks again to Pulverised for believing in Majestic Downfall.”

Pulverised Records A&R Manager Calvin Chiang also states: “Having known Majestic Downfall a while back but the initial impression of what we heard from the band’s previous efforts really was a pleasant surprise because Mr. Jacko does have a split personality! As some people might know that we are pretty big fans of this melancholic doom / death style; the torture of funereal-drenched riffs searing through, the turmoil of lengthy songs droning continuously and simply that feeling of utter misery after listening to an entire album, Majestic Downfall nailed down every aspect of what we love about this genre and we think that the new album will be yet another grief-stricken bludgeoner.”
