Arsis Premieres A Medley Of New Songs From Upcoming New Album

Arsis premieres a medley of new songs without vocals via a playthrough video below. States Malone on the new album:

“Since the conclusion of the touring cycle for Unwelcome, myself and the members of Arsis have been busy with other projects, but I’m happy to announce that a new album is almost finished! After returning home from a tour with Necromancing The Stone last March, I began writing for the next Arsis release and soon found myself completely consumed in the process. I don’t want to make an incredibly bold statement and say something to the effect of ‘it’s our best effort since (insert the highest regarded album title here)’ but I can say that I have not been this focused on a project since working on A Diamond for Disease. I feel that this focus is reflected in the music and I look forward to the album’s completion.”

Check out now the medley below.

Adds Malone:

“We finished tracking drums last week with producer Mark Lewis in Nashville and we will be tracking the rest of the album in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for studio videos and updates. Until then be sure to check out this pre-production video on some of our new songs that Shawn Priest put together!”

Soulrot Streaming Full New Album “Nameless Hideous Manifestations”

In an endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, on April 24th, Memento Mori is proud to present the debut full-length of Chile’s Soulrot, titled “Nameless Hideous Manifestations.” Today the full album has come online and can be heard below.

Hailing from the city of Valparaíso, Soulrot was formed by guitar player JL Olmos (Betrayed, ex-Micosis, ex-Gangrenous) circa 1993-1994 but was put to rest due to JL being involved in several other projects at the time.

It wasn’t until 2013 that JL joined bass player/vocalist JH Wilschrey (Sadistic Murder, Acero Letal) and they both resuscitated Soulrot, manifesting their unquestionable inclination towards the death metal of yore.

1. Desde el Arrecife del Diablo…
2. Those Who Dwell in the Abyss
3. From My Grave
4. Ectoplasmic Revelations
5. Infertile Anti-Womb
6. This Putrid Canvas
7. Majestic Rot
8. Incorporeal Autopsy
9. Blackstone
10. Transfigured Through the Void

Faithxtractor Inks Deal With Hells Headbangers

Hells Headbangers today announces the signing of Faithxtractor, and the first fruit of this union shall be Faithxtractor’s third album, slated for release during the second half of 2017.

This third full-length album, tentatively titled “Proverbial Lambs to the Ultimate Slaughter,” is now well into the tracking process at the band’s own Frequenscream Studios. Unconcerned with scene schemes and useless labeling tags, Faithxtractor will continue down the dark path set forth on previous releases while forever moving forward into darkened territory. The prime directive: sick riffs, metal & death.

“We are honored and very pleased to have the opportunity to release our next album through Hells Headbangers,” says Ash Thomas. “Having worked with them personally on other projects, I’ve come to greatly respect their work ethic and dedication. We are extremely proud of the death metal we’ve created for album #3, and it’s very assuring to have a label such as Hell Headbangers behind the coming onslaught!”

Waking The Cadaver Officially Calls It Quits

New Jersey slam outfit Waking The Cadaver has checked in with the following announcement about deciding to call it quits:

“It is with sad news that WTC will have to announce that we are no longer a band. Truth be told, we haven’t been a band since our last show we played in Seattle October 2013 on the Dying Fetus/Exhumed tour.

“We were never sure what the status of the band was going to be all this time, that’s why there hasn’t been an announcement, but some of you have figured it out and it’s only right to let everyone know the truth.

“There’s no bad blood with members or anything, we are all just living busy lives and are unable to commit to the demands of being in this band. Who knows, maybe in a couple years we’ll jam again.

“We want to thanks all our fans world wide…it’s so amazing how you people have made this band able to do things other slam bands would dream of doing. We sincerely love you all from the bottom of our cold dead hearts!!! Stay brutal.”

The band also comments on other projects from its members: “Mike Mayo is currently jamming in the grindcore outfit Ground and John Hartman is continuing his legacy in the legendary Mortal Decay. Support these awesome bands.”

Waking The Cadaver released three full-length albums in its lifetime, capping with 2013’s “Real-Life Death.”
