Preview Clip For New Album “Rulebreaker” Issued By Primal Fear

German metal stalwarts Primal Fear released the first taste of the new album “Rulebreaker” in the preview snippet below. The album is set to drop via Frontiers Music srl on January 29, 2016 via Frontiers Music srl.

Primal Fear Announces New Lineup, Working On Album

Primal Fear has issued the following announcement about lineup changes and bringing on new members:

“Francesco Jovino is the new Primal Fear drummer! After 10 years behind the drums for U.D.O., Francesco is back! Primal Fear founding member Tom Naumann joins the band as an official member! After two years touring with Primal Fear, Tom is now back as a full member. Magnus Karlsson will remain a member of the band and will co-write the new album of the band.

“The recordings of the new Primal Fear album will start in Mid-July at Hansen Studio in Denmark with producer Mat Sinner & engineer Jacob Hansen. 12 songs are already written, in pre-production. The new album will be released worldwide in January 2016 via Frontiers Music srl to all Primal Fear and Aquiles Priester FANS around the world!

“We knew it would be a hard mission for us, but we’ve given it a try and unfortunately, to combine our present obligations and our future endeavors, it has become impossible to have a cohesive band together. Due to our schedules and the distance between the continents we have decided to part ways.

“From both sides we do not have any regrets at all and we are very happy that we have tried our best to make it happen. We are all still good friends and we wish all the best for each other in the future.

Primal Fear Streaming Drum-Cam Footage For “Angel In Black”

Primal Fear has released a drum cam video of new drummer Aquiles Priester (Angra, Hangar) performing the band’s song “Angel In Black” in the studio. The track is taken from Primal Fear’s “Nuclear Fire” album, which came out in 2001.

Drummer Randy Black Splits With Primal Fear

German power metal act Primal Fear announced that the band has split with drummer Randy Black due to “irreconcilable differences” between he and vocalist Ralf Scheepers. Black will perform with the band at the Summer Breeze Festival this weekend and then immediately be relieved of duties.

Black joined the band in 2003 and performed on the last six studio releases dating back to 2004’s “Devil’s Ground.”

The official statement from the band reads: “Due to irreconcilable differences between singer Ralf Scheepers and drummer Randy Black, Primal Fear announce that Randy will leave the band effective August 16th, 2014 – one day after the band’s performance @ the Summer Breeze Festival, Randy’s final show with the band. Primal Fear will announce their new drummer in September. We wish Randy all the best in his future career!”

New Track "Graveyard City" Streaming From Voodoo Circle

German metal band Voodoo Circle, featuring Primal Fear/Sinner bassist Mat Sinner is streaming the new track “Graveyard City.” The song appears on the band’s forthcoming third LP “More Than One Way Home,” which is scheduled for release through AFM Records on February 22, 2013.

Vesperia Releases Clip From New DVD "Untamed In Toronto"

Every week during the month of July, Toronto-based Celtic Viking Metal quartet Vesperia will be previewing to fans a selected video clip from upcoming live DVD “Untamed in Toronto!” The DVD was filmed by AX Media during the bands past show at the Hard Luck Bar.

‘We are very excited to reveal our first-ever live DVD that we filmed in our very own hometown of Toronto on our last tour,” says lead vocalist and bassist Morgan Rider. “For anyone who has not been able to see one of our live performances, this will give them a unique opportunity to see the primal nature behind a Vesperia performance; fully equipped with a high-end lighting rig and in high definition!”
