Cyhra Debut New Video “Here To Save You” – Bassist Peter Iwers (Ex-In Flames) Exits Band

Cyhra debut a new live video for their track “Here To Save You“. Explains the band’s vocalist Jake E: “Releasing “Here To Save You” as a live video was something that we thought of already after finishing up the song in the demo studio. And as we got the possibility to open up for Sabaton and Kreator a couple of months back it was a no-brainer to just make sure to put it on film.

I love how we were able to capture all the positive response, both within the band but also all the love we got for our newfound fans in the US & Canada. Every time I watch it I just want to go back out on the road! I hope you will like it as much as we do!”

In other news, Cyhra’s bassist Peter Iwers (ex-In Flames) has stepped down from the band. Iwers was joined in the band by former In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad. Comments the band on Iwers‘ departure:

“It’s sad to part ways with Peter as a member, but we are still very good friends and will always be. He has our full support in this decision and we wish him nothing else than the best in the future!”

Cyhra won’t immediately be replacing Iwers and will instead have his backing tracks in place at their immediate upcoming shows.

A Breach Of Silence Posts “Broken” Music Video

Australian act A Breach Of Silence just premiered a music video for “Broken.” This is the second video clip from upcoming studio album “Secrets” – check it out below.

“’Broken’ was written about depression, what it feels like at your lowest” states guitarist Mat Cosgrove. “While we were writing this album, our bassist Blair broke up with his girlfriend and it really tore him apart.”

Bassist Blair Layt continues, “it reflects a time in my life when I was the most depressed I’ve ever been. I just broke off an emotionally abusive relationship and my thick skin had been worn thin over its duration. I was suicidal, depressed and defeated. For a short time, I turned to drugs to numb the pain. I shut people out, and I almost forgot what it was like to be happy. Luckily, through the amazing support of friends and family, I managed to pull myself together, and take steps to better my state of mind, and return to the positive place I like to revel in. Looking back now, this song is a reminder for me of how far I’ve come since then. I hope that any of our fans feel those vibes when listening, and hopefully they may learn through my experience… that no matter how low you are, life can always get better if you allow it to… even if you think it can’t.”

New album “Secrets” was produced by Fredrik Nordstrom (Bring Me the Horizon, Arch Enemy, In Flames) and mixed by Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman. It will be released worldwide via Eclipse Records on February 24th, 2017.

Mixed and mastered by Brian Hood (Memphis May Fire, Erra), the group came away with a debut EP which reached over 250,000 streams so far.

“We’ve put a lot of work into this EP, and being an independent band makes everything so much more expensive and time consuming,” says vocalist, Markus Johnsen. “Getting all this positive feedback means everything!”

Paragon Comments On “Hell Beyond Hell” Album Release

German metal band Paragon just issued this year-end message and comment about the band’s latest album release:

“It’s not easy for A small band like us to keep on going these days as it gets harder and harder to get (paid) shows and sell enough albums in this commercial driven music business. Anyhow, we are existing now for 26 years and we still love what we do, love to record new music, play live and most of all get feedback from you – the best fans of the world.

“We had a great year with all the positive feedback for ‘Hell Beyond Hell’ from fans and press and a lot of cool shows. We also know that ‘Hell Beyond Hell’ is maybe not such an easy listing experience like ‘Force Of Destruction’ and needs a few more spins before it clicks. ‘Force Of Destruction’ had all a Paragon fan could expect from a Paragon album, but after that we grew as a band and as friends and we didn’t wanted to repeat ourselves.

“So ‘Hell Beyond Hell’ is 100% what we wanted to record at that time, without compromises to anyone but ourselves! We rehearsed a lot for the live shows and we are a much tighter band now, than we were in the past. Bert, Martin & Günny already gathered some riffs and songwriting will start in January. So also after 26 year expect no mercy from us as it will see the release of one of our heaviest albums and also a lot of Metal fueled live shows. All the best to you and your families and ‘Metal Is The Law!'”

Ghoul’s “Dungeon Bastards” Lands On The Charts

“Dungeon Bastards” is the newest studio recording from the notorious Creepsylvanian hooded menaces in Ghoul.

Released via Tankcrimes on July 29th, the record devoured Billboard Charts upon its first week of release debuting at #11 on the Heatseekers Chart, #13 on the Top Vinyl Albums Chart, #13 on the Hard Rock Chart, and #27 on the Independent Albums Chart.

Not only does “Dungeon Bastards” serve as the first Ghoul record to enter the Billboard Charts, it’s also the first-ever charting album of Tankcrimes’ extended discography.

Ghoul’s Digestor commented: “Instead of noting the obvious and stunning decline of the recording industry, I want to focus on the positive aspects of Ghoul charting. Mainly, that our newfound industry clout will allow us to crush our enemies, humiliate our friends, and generally live lives of consequence-free skullduggery from now until the end of time. Which should be somewhere around the beginning of your American month of November.”

Adds Tankcrimes head Scotty Heath, “I’m absolutely thrilled!”
