Periphery Reveals New Album “Periphery IV: Hail Stan” Details; Posts New Music Video “Blood Eagle” Online

Periphery will release their fifth album, “Periphery IV: Hail Stan,” on April 5th via their own 3DOT Recordings. A music video for the album’s first single, “Blood Eagle,” directed by Jeremy Danger & Travis Shinn, can be found below.

Guitar player Mark Holcomb said of the six-minute track: “We’ve known since the late stages of P4 writing sessions that ‘Blood Eagle’ would be the first song we released. It’s an unrelenting song that, even while we were writing it, we could say to ourselves: ‘We NEED to play this live.’ The original demo was vastly different, and through the songwriting process, it took on this kind of violent, explosive nature that is always hard to synthesize. That energy excited us and we knew it’d be the first thing we’d let you all hear.”

“Periphery IV: Hail Stan” marks two significant firsts for the band: the first Periphery release on their recently formed label, 3DOT Recordings, as well as a change in the way they approached writing and recording. “We finally spent a year on a record,” explains guitar player/programmer Jake Bowen. “We’ve never been able to do that. The quality and pacing of the work show we took our time with this one. That’s an important note about this. We really got to do everything we wanted to do in the space we had to do it.” Mark adds, “I think you can hear the adventurous intent behind much of this material as a result. We’re all the happiest we’ve ever been with a release, and it’s no coincidence. Can’t wait for you all to hear it.”

“Periphery IV: Hail Stan” is the first release to follow the band’s 2017 Grammy Award nomination in the “Best Metal Performance” category, for “Periphery III: Select Difficulty” album opener “The Price Is Wrong”. The 2016 album tallied 35 million cumulative streams and marked their third consecutive debut in the Top 25 of the Billboard Top 200. It represented the apex of a tireless decade-long grind. In between the touring, endorsements and appearances, they also launched a summer camp of their own, Periphery Summer Jam.

Cannibal Corpse enlist Erik Rutan to fill in for Pat O’Brien on upcoming tours

– January 18th, 2019 –

Cannibal Corpse have announced that Erik Rutan will fill in for guitarist Pat O’Brien as O’Brien tends to personal issues. Rutan will appear live with the band for the Decibel Magazine Tour and the upcoming US leg of Slayer‘s final tour happening this May alongside Slayer, Lamb of God, and Amon Amarth. This won’t be the first time these death metal powerhouses have worked together; Rutan has produced four albums with Cannibal Corpse (Kill, Evisceration Plague, Torture, Red Before Black) and is uniquely equipped to fill the role – he is one of the death metal’s most acclaimed guitarists and is known for his time as part of Morbid Angel (who are co headlining the Decibel tour alongside Cannibal) throughout the 90s and early 2000s, as well as handling vocals/guitars and production duties for his current band Hate Eternal.

Cannibal Corpse announced for 8th annual Decibel Magazine Tour with Morbid Angel, Immolation, Blood Incantation and Necrot

– November 15th, 2018 –

Since its launch in 2012, the annual Decibel Magazine Tour’s ambitious curation has unified artists from around the extreme universe who would otherwise never have the opportunity to tour together. The lineup for the 2019 Decibel Magazine Tour once again breaks new ground, as legendary death metallers Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel join forces for the first time ever in America to co-headline the winter tour. Rising Bay Area brutalizers Necrot and space-obsessed Denver death dealers Blood Incantation round out this once-in-a-lifetime bill. New York death metal icons Immolation will join the final week of the tour as main support to Morbid Angel, as Cannibal Corpse exit the tour after the New York City date.

“We’re really looking forward to our second appearance on the Decibel Tour; they always put together a killer line up and this time is no exception,” says Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster. “We’re particularly excited to be hitting the road with our friends Morbid Angel. In fact, this will be the first time we’ve toured together in the USA.”

“Everyone here in the Morbid Angel camp are stoked to do this tour with Cannibal Corpse,” says Morbid Angel‘s bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker. “To celebrate, Morbid Angel will be performing a mean-ass set of songs that will cover the entirety of our years of kicking ass.”

“We will be adding some of the older songs back to our set,” assures Morbid Angel founder Trey Azagthoth. “See you all there.”

Presented by Metal Blade Records, and sponsored by Silver Lining Music, Tankcrimes, Dark Descent Records and Nuclear Blast America, the Decibel Magazine Tour is once again poised to be the heavy metal tour of the winter.

Tickets for the 2019 Decibel Magazine Tour go on sale Friday, November 16 at 10 AM local time and can be found at decibelmagazine.com/tour. All dates and venues are below.

Cannibal Corpse will be touring in support of their latest album, Red Before Black. Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black‘ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”

Behemoth and Kings County Brewers Collective join forces for “Wolf ov Siberia” Double IPA

– October 10th, 2018 –

Behemoth announces NYC and LA art exhibitions for new album, ‘I Loved You At Your Darkest’; ‘I Loved You At Your Darkest’ available now worldwide

Behemoth and Kings County Brewers Collective (Brooklyn, NY) have joined forces for a Double IPA, “Wolf ov Siberia”! From the most blasphemous depths of extreme metal comes a collaboration brew of epic proportions: “Wolf ov Siberia” pours pale gold in the glass, with a light lupulin haze. A blistering blast of bright lemon and crushed lime greets your nose, followed by grapefruit, melon and green pine from a megaload of Citra, Motueka and Centennial hops. Balanced by soft wheat and flaked rye, with a touch of savage bitterness on the finish, it’s fierce, fresh, and dangerously drinkable at a 7.7% ABV. “Wolf ov Siberia” beckons all Behemoth and beer fans – “come all ye wolves ov Siberia, we hail the flame, we hail the ice…”

Tony Bellis (co-founder, Kings County Brewers Collective) comments: “We love brewing a wide variety of different beer styles at KCBC and strive to constantly challenge our drinkers’ taste buds – in the same way that Behemoth has consistently pushed the boundaries of metal into brutal, uncharted territories over the years. Having been long time Behemoth fans, we’re incredibly excited to collaborate with them on this killer Double IPA.”

Behemoth mastermind Nergal adds: Behemoth global domination is still in full effect! After partnering with our friends at Perun to give you a unique craft experience, we thought why just brew beer for the lucky ones in Europe? Kings County Brewers Collective said they could delight the palate of the Americans too! Just in time for our album release October 5th, you’ll be seeing ‘Wolf ov Siberia’ at a bar near you!”

KCBC will host a “Wolf ov Siberia” can release party on October 15th at the KCBC Brewery & Taproom in Brooklyn, followed by a wider release to quality craft beer spots throughout the NYC metro area and beyond. For more information, please visit:

Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be previewed and purchased now at: behemoth.lnk.to/ILYAYD

Behemoth launches video for new single, “Wolves ov Siberia”

– September 5th, 2018 –

“It doesn’t get more blasphemous than this,” declares Behemoth mastermind Nergal, about the band’s upcoming album, I Loved You At Your Darkest – due out October 5th via Metal Blade Records (North America) / Nuclear Blast (Europe). While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. “It’s a verse from the Bible,” Nergal reveals. “It’s actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it’s sacrilege to the extreme.”

A crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema, I Loved You At Your Darkest is the group’s most dynamic record yet: extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be pre-ordered now at: metalblade.com/behemoth – where the video for the new single, “Wolves Ov Siberia” (directed by Kyle Kadow and Steven Cleavland), can also be viewed. The following formats are available in the USA, along with an exclusive t-shirt:

–jewelcase CD
–digibook CD (hardcover digibook, 40 page booklet)
–baltic amber vinyl (limited to 600 copies)
–opaque white w/ gold splatter vinyl (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–black / gold split vinyl (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–clear w/ smoky black swirl (Nuclear Blast US exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–clear w/ grey inside (Kings Road exclusive – limited to 500 copies)
–”God = Dog” 7″ picture disc (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 666 copies)

Nergal comments: “‘Wolves Ov Siberia’ was the first song unveiled from ILYAYD, we began playing it on tour in May of this year – the raw energy and dynamism of the song lent itself perfectly to a live context! The studio version doesn’t lose those fundamentals and now with our added intricacies, you will be able to hear the call to Ancient times…the devil is in the detail, after all.
The video was purposefully very different from the well-recognised, Behemoth aesthetic – I wanted it to be chaotic, frenzied yet beautiful…I think this is mission accomplished and we’re really happy with the final product from Kyle Kadow and Steven Cleavland! Enjoy it!”

Behemoth reveals details for new album, ‘I Loved You at Your Darkest’

– August 2nd, 2018 –

Launches video for new single, “God = Dog”; announces European tour with At the Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room

Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be pre-ordered now at: metalblade.com/behemoth – where the video for the first single, “God = Dog” (directed by Grupa 13 / grupa13.com), can also be viewed. The following formats are available in the USA, along with an exclusive t-shirt:

Behemoth announces North American “Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.” tour

– July 16th, 2018 –

With special guests At the Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room

This October/November, Polish black/death overlords Behemoth will hit the road across North America to headline the “Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.” tour. Featuring special guests At the Gates and Wolves in the Throne Room, this is one show not to be missed!

Behemoth singer, guitarist and main-man Nergal comments: “I hereby announce Behemoth‘s triumphant return to the North American shores this Fall. We will be in the noble company of At The Gates and Wolves In The Throne Room, who will be supporting us on our 11th opus. Even though it’s only been a few moments since we played for you, our American legions, we cannot wait for this tour to start! It’s gonna be the first headlining run supporting new music and we are bringing all the artillery, which means the biggest production thus far! ‘Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.’ arrives soon and we WANT you to celebrate this sonic pandemonium with us!”

At The Gates front-man Tomas Lindberg adds: At The Gates have not done a support tour since 1996. When we got invited to this tour, we immediately saw the logic to the package. This is three bands with their own unique sound, three bands totally dedicated to finding the core of their art. Three important bands. It all made sense to us, and we are flattered to be part of this. I truly believe that this is THE ONE tour not to miss this year. Get ready to drink from the night itself together with us.”
