Video Clip For New Song “Burn The Witch” Posted By Angel Nation

Melodic metal band Angel Nation, the band featuring Leaves’ Eyes vocalist Elina Siirala, released a video clip for the new single “Burn The Witch,” the first single from the new album “Aeon.” The album is set to drop via Inner Wound Recordings on October 27th.

Angel Nation was founded by the classically trained Finnish singer who moved to London in 2008 and fell in love with the power of rock and metal.

The debut album [released under the name EnkeliNation] “Tears of Lust” was received with glowing reviews all over the world. The release in 2014 was followed by shows at Bloodstock Open Air, shows in Finland amongst others. In 2016, Elina also joined Leaves’ Eyes.

The sophomore release “Aeon” continues the musical diversity that Elina likes to express in her songwriting. The unique blend of retro and modern sounds is developed even further with this album. The power of metal and rock combined with Elina’s ethereal yet strong and emotional vocals create the perfect platform for stories of both earthly and otherworldly she likes to create with her lyrics.

The album features a guest appearance by Jukka Pelkonen (Omnium Gatherum) on vocals and the artwork was created by Darkgrove Design (Apocalyptica, Delain, Leah).

Get ready for it all: Heavy, rocking and epic tunes from this highly anticipated album with tons of character!

The track listing is:

1. Burn The Witch
2. Blood Is On Your Hands
3. Breathe Again
4. Wonder Who You Are

You can’t talk about the true greats of folk-inspired melodic death metal without reverent mention of Ensiferum, and with Two Paths they once more affirm their place in the pantheons of the genre. Further building upon the thrilling metallic hybrid honed across six full-lengths, Two Paths is simultaneously the Finnish quintet’s most epic and far-reaching collection and their most organic, which definitely sets it apart from the pack. Additionally, the album literally takes the concept of Two Paths to heart, with two different versions of standout tracks “Don’t You Say” and “God Is Dead”. “Even though Ensiferum has always had clean vocals and choirs, harsh vocals have been the main style, and those songs worked so well with both styles that we decided to include both versions,” explains bassist/vocalist Sami Hinkka. With Mikko P. Mustonen again handling orchestral arrangements and Lassi Logren returning to play nyckelharpa and violin on a few songs, Hinkka is also more than happy that they brought “more bombastic orchestral and down to earth folk aspects” to the record, further fleshing out their vision. This also applies to the contribution of Gyula Havancsak, who provided the artwork for both Two Paths and its predecessor, One Man Army. “It was really nice to work with him again because he always wants to hear our ideas and then he adds his own magic and improvements to them, and the result is always astonishing.”

Two Paths track-listing
1. Ajattomasta Unesta
2. For Those About to Fight for Metal
3. Way of the Warrior
4. Two Paths
5. King of Storms
6. Feast with Valkyries
7. Don’t You Say
8. I Will Never Kneel
9. God Is Dead
10. Hail to the Victor
11. Unettomaan Aikaan
12. God Is Dead (Alternative Version)

Vuur Releases “My Champion – Berlin” Music Video

Anneke van Giersbergen’s new band Vuur is set to release debut album “In This Moment We Are Free – Cities” on October 20th, 2017. Now the group is pleased to reveal an official video for new single “My Champion – Berlin.”

Anneke comments: “This song is the opening track of our debut album and it serves as a kind of master of ceremonies. It’s both heavy and melodic, it showcases the technical abilities of the band, but you can still sing along to it. That’s basically the kind of album I wanted to make. Our guitar player Jord Otto wrote the song and collaborated with producer Joost van den Broek to finalise it. I wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies.

“This song is about Berlin after World War II. The goddess on the Berlin Victory Column was raised to commemorate military victories, but in the song the city speaks to her and is asking her for help to overcome troubled times. I wanted to make a performance video, one that presents the band as a group that is about music and plays with their heart and soul. That’s what we are and I am really proud of this band.”

01. My Champion – Berlin
02. Time – Rotterdam
03. The Martyr And The Saint – Beirut
04. The Fire – San Francisco
05. Freedom – Rio
06. Days Go By – London
07. Sail Away – Santiago
08. Valley Of Diamonds – Mexico City
09. Your Glorious Light Will Shine – Helsinki
10. Save Me – Istanbul
11. Reunite! – Paris

Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records signs Norway’s Fight The Fight in the USA

– September 7th, 2017 –

Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of Norway’s Fight The Fight in the USA! Fight The Fight‘s self-titled debut (released digitally in January 2017) is young, fresh and bursting with energy – just as you would expect from a band that has been buzzing around the Norwegian underground for several years. Now, the record will finally see a physical release in the USA in early 2018 via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records.

Chris Santos (Blacklight Media) comments: “If ever there was a band that hooked me on the first listen, it was Fight The Fight!
Fight The Fight seamlessly weave together classic old school riffing with cutting edge grooves and have a knack for making every single song they write not just heavy, but catchy as fuck! To top it off, these guys are natural born total rock stars. The sky is the limit for Fight The Fight and I’m so stoked to take the ride with them!”

Brian Slagel (Metal Blade Records) adds: “Once again my buddy Chris Santos has found an amazing band! We are super excited to have Blacklight Media working with Fight The Fight! Check them out!!”

Erlend Gjerde (Indie Recordings) comments: “We’re very excited to partner with the great team at Blacklight Media and Metal Blade for Fight The Fight in North America. Their enthusiasm and dedication to working with us on the band made our decision very easy – Let’s do this!”

Barely breaking into their twenties, Fight The Fight has already been a band – though under a different name (Faenskap) – for more than a decade. It’s the classic story of childhood friends and schoolmates whose dreams and ambitions run high, and ultimately form a band together. Pushing the whole project to the limit of their capabilities, they succeeded in reaching their goal: creating a record that reflects their vision of what’s to come. Not your average album, this mature, well-composed rock/metal grenade immediately explodes with memorable hooks, catchphrases and choruses, and the rock, punk, metal and black metal elements are woven into a unique and progressive sound. With this debut, it is clear that Fight The Fight is destined for great things.

For a preview of Fight The Fight, the video for the title track can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=YLWUdYeSy4M
