Sacred Reich Welcome New Guitar Player Joey Radziwill Revamped Roster

Sacred Reich released the following statement after the announcement:

“Joey and his dad Tim helped us record the demos for the new songs. So when we needed a new guitar player Joey was the obvious choice and was able to jump right in and crush his parts on the new record. He is 22 years old and grew up listening to Sacred Reich (his parents raised him up right).”

Sacred Reich is on track to release their first album in more than a decade this year. In addition, Sacred Reich will embark on a major European tour this summer to include several festival dates.

Video Clip For New Album Title Song “Paradigms Lost” Available From Worselder

French heavy thrash/stoner group Worselder released the new official video today. It’s the first from the forthcoming album “Paradigms Lost” and it happens to be the title track, a real statement of intent. “Paradigms Lost” will be released on June 1st via Sliptrick Records.

The video presents a young girl who remembers her parents, Cathars burnt at the stake. After a ritual, she collects their ashes and walks to the walls of Montsegur, where she gives them the freedom they headed for. She finally disappears with the ghosts of her parents… Through the imagery of Cathars, the song is an allegory of all religious fights and an hymn to the freedom of thought.

Reps Streaming New Song “Dead In The Water”

New York hardcore outfit Reps will release forthcoming debut album, “Poisoned Youth,” on April 29th, 2016. Today, the band showcases debut track “Dead In The Water,” which can be heard below. Reps also comments:

“This song is where the record’s title comes from. It seems like every generation in some way repeats all of the previous generation’s mistakes, and inherits most of, if not all of their vices. War, racism, sexism, jomophobia the list could go on. It seems crazy that after all mankind has gone through and learned, that these all exist. In many ways, the world we live in now is far more terrifying than it ever was for our parents when they were our age.

“All of us are close to the age where we could be starting families of our own, but the thought of doing that in these times often induces immediate fear and anxiety. No matter how much we learn from the mistakes of our elders, and how many opportunities we have to be better; we still fall prey to the same vices. We are the product of our ancestors and failed ambitions to be better. We are the poisoned youth.”

Party Smasher Inc. Interviews Mastodon’s Brent Hinds

Party Smasher Inc. – the musician / artist / photography site created by Dillinger Escape plan’s Ben Weinman – has released a new video interview with Mastodon’s Brent Hinds, which can be seen below. Party Smasher also comments:

“Mastodon started in 1999; a couple of years after the Dillinger Escape Plan. Fifteen years later, Brent Hinds and Ben Weinman surprisingly still bear each other enough to start a brand new project together as GTO, the Giraffe Tongue Orchestra.

“For this 1-on-1 between the two, Brent Hinds recollects how he was just listening to ‘devil music’ for his parents before he became one of Satan’s worst rejects himself a few years later with Mastodon, and the upcoming GTO. “

Betrayal Posts New Lyric Video For “Pieces Of Home”

Betrayal has premiered a new song titled “Pieces of Home,” which can be found in the player below or over at the band’s Facebook profile here. The song comes from the band’s as-of-yet titled EP, which is being produced by Kyle Black (Shai Hulud, Alpha & Omega).

Vocalist Brendan Foley explains the song as “a song about trying to hold the parts of your life that you couldn’t think about living without together when everywhere you are feels like its half way across the world from home.” Adding, “Its about making that choice to live without your parents, without your family and without your friends, knowing that while you’re gone those people and your relationships with them might not be the same when you get back. Each member of my family is a piece of my home; this song is for them to know how much it kills me to leave time and time again.”

Betrayal will release the upcoming new EP this August via Mediaskare Records.
