Necronomicon Crowd Funding New Album “Unleashed”

Necronomicon (the German thrash band, not the Canadian death metal group) has a long history and a very loyal fan base that is being called upon to help the outfit finance upcoming album “Unleashed.”

Alongside Agentur EAM and Into The LimeLight Records, Necronomicon is raising funds to finalize the production of theis new record and a re-release of previous album “Pathfinder.” Take a look at the perks for contributing to the campaign at via IndieGogo here.

Wreche Debuts New Song “Angel City” From Upcoming Self-Titled Debut Album

Los Angeles avantgarde black metal duo Wreche – consisting of pianist John Steven Morgan and drummer Barret Baumgart – debuts a new song titled “Angel City”, taken from the upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be out in stores early this year.

Describes the outfit its own music: “Wreche pushes the possibilities of piano and drums into a previously uncharted territory where black metal and classical music vie for privilege, hope, and death in smog laden basin of suntanned predation and persistent misery.”

Onera Posts “Cold Hand’s Caress” Lyric Video

A new lyric video from New England-based melodic doom outfit Onera is now playing online. The video was created by Dan Blomquist (Conclave) for the track “Cold Hand’s Caress,” culled from Onera’s recently self-released debut EP, “Olde.”

Though the entity of Onera is very new, the outfit unites a team of veterans from a wide array of acts including Morgion, Keen Of The Crow, Cortez, December Wolves, Watchmaker, and others who have been active in the scene for several decades.

In September 2015, Onera entered Amps vs Ohms in Cambridge, Massachusetts to capture these debut recordings.

Mountaineer Kicks Off Very First Tour Dates

Mountaineer, a newly-created West Coast band, will begin a short tour today that marks the outfit’s very first live shows.

The succinct trek comes in conjunction with the release of the two-song “Coma Fever/Siren Song” 7″ EP. Aiding in the festivities this week, the second track “Siren Song” comes online and can be heard below.

The new “Lifeless Forms” EP by ambiguous Swedish death metal solo outfit Extermination Temple is out today and available to hear in its demoralizing entirety.

The cryptic Extermination Temple is another project from the same artist who crafts the blackened hardcore madness of Broken Cross, and while the outfit’s self-titled 2014 cassette demo was an equal mix of black and death metal, the “Lifeless Forms” 7″ is undoubtedly overall more death metal.

Luxor Record’s metal band Cry Excess has released a new music video for latest single, “Unto Death.” The single comes fro 2015 full-length release, “Ambition Is The Shit,” which showcases the outfit’s unique sound.

Yob Announces Australian Tour Dates

The latest bout of touring from Northwestern psychedelic doom trio Yob has been announced, as the outfit has confirmed a first trek to Australia this Summer.

“We have been wanting to come play in Australia for a long time,” issues Yob guitarist/vocalist Mike Scheidt. “A number of my favorite bands are from there! Also, we’ve made some good friends there over the years. So now to finally be able to go play some shows and hang in real time is very exciting. Swedish project Broken Cross has completed the outfit’s debut LP, “Through Light To Night,” and is preparing it for release in the coming weeks.
