Crowbar Bassist Todd Strange To Leave The Band

New Orleans metal veterans Crowbar has announced that original bass player Todd Strange, who rejoined the group in 2016, will once again be leaving the band following their tour in support of the 20th anniversary of “Odd Fellows Rest.” A message from the band reads as follows:

“Crowbar will be performing Odd Fellows Rest 20th anniversary show at Southport Music Hall August 4th! We did it at Roadburn Fest in The Netherlands, and want to share this classic in our hometown!! Sexy T will be playing this show but will no longer be our touring bassist. All of us in Crowbar believe that family comes first! Gonna be a great show!! Be there!!!”

The Rough Boys Streaming New Track “Hogtown”

Taking the band’s name from a Neil Young lyric – “All those rough boys, playin’ that rock and roll,” Toronto, ON’s punk thrashing outfit The Rough Boys teamed up today with for the premiere of “Hogtown.”

Check out the new track below, which comes off the band’s upcoming third EP “Blood, Booze And Gasoline,” set for release on July 22nd. Vocalist / bassist Tom Gervais comments:

“This is our song dedicated to our hometown, Toronto. The stories are true…never mind all the alt rock shoegaze hipster shit. We come from Hogtown. We are The Rough Boys.”

Dirge Within Posts Behind-The-Scenes Footage From "Memories" Music Video

Chicago-based heavy metal act, Dirge Within, has uploaded some behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s recent music video shoot for the track, “Memories.” Join Dirge Within and local director, Peeler, as the group pieces together the first music video from its sophomore release, “There Will Be Blood,” which hit stores in April.

“The new video for ‘Memories’ was just shot in our hometown of Chicago with a fresh, up-and-coming director named PEELER, and it is looking amazing,” said guitarist, Shaun Glass. “We shot some typical joking around footage for all to check out in the behind-the-scenes vibe! Enjoy!”
