Helligators Inks Deal With Sliptrick

Heavy rock ‘n roll outfit Helligators just inked a deal with Sliptrick Records for the release of second album “Road Roller Machine.” The label comments:

“After years spent relentlessly shredding stages in Italy (both headlining and as opening act for the likes of Orange Goblin, Nashville Pussy, Doomraiser, Strana Officina, Bad Bones and more..) and a self-released LP that came out in 2011 (Against all odds), they’re now ready to unleash their second LP titled ‘Road Roller Machine’ taking their Southern Metal’n’Roll to a new step!

“Ten slabs of loud yet groovy, heavy yet catchy US influenced Street Rock’n’Roll blending all five members influences and musical background experiences, that is the new album of Helligators, a powerful live workhorse delivering killer riffs, scream-out-loud vocals and ear-worming hooks.”

Galvano Inks Deal With Candlelight Records

From the deepest, nastiest recesses of Gothenburg comes crushing Swedish sludge duo Galvano, which just inked a deal with Candlelight Records. The label comments:

“Now comprising Mattias Nööjd (guitars/vocals) and Fredrik Käll (drums), Galvano originally started out as a three-piece in 2005. Within two years a demo was released and live shows played.

“Galvano embarked on a first mini tour in 2010 visiting Denmark and a set of German cities. That same year the band were asked to feature on a split so they went into the studio and recorded the epic single ‘The Librarian,’ which was mixed and mastered by the legendary Billy Anderson (Orange Goblin, Cathedral, Eyehategod).

“This was released as a 10” in 2011 on SM Musik from Leipzig, Germany. The release was then followed up by a full European tour.

“After this tour the band said goodbye to their fourth bass player and decided to move on as a duo. Early in 2012 they teamed up with U.K. based label Devouter Records for the release of debut full-length album ‘Two Titans.’ The album was released on December 5th and was very well received by both fans and media.

“Since then the band has played over 35 shows during several European tours including UK and Ireland and are confirmed to play this year’s Desertfest in Camden, London.”

Galvano also comments on joining the label: “Candlelight is a label with such an impressive roster throughout the years and we’re very happy to join the ranks alongside bands like Orange Goblin, Corrosion of Conformity and our buddies in Zatokrev just to name a few. We’re also very fond of the people working there. Looking very much forward to this release.”

King Parrot To Record New Album, Comments On Upcoming Shows

Australian thrash grind misfits King Parrot will return to the road later this week for a final run of live assaults on North America supporting Down, Orange Goblin, and Bl’ast.

Set to commence November 29th in New Orleans, the band will steamroll its way through nearly two dozen cities, with the final performance taking place December 21st in Houston. Dispatches the band:

“King Parrot is honored to be heading the round with some of our all-time favorite bands and musicians in Down, Orange Goblin and Bl’ast this December in North America. This is our fourth tour of the region this year and it’s been an incredible journey for us in 2014.

“To cap it off on this tour, with these bands, is amazing and beyond what we’d ever envisioned when we started out just a few years ago. As an Australian band cracking into the scene over here, the odds are always stacked against you, but we are keen and dedicated to working hard and it’s nice to see some rewards coming about.

“We have our new album written and we’re looking forward to recording and releasing it in 2015. It’s going to be a big step forward for the band and really shows how much work we’ve been putting in over the last few years. We’re hoping that we can continue to tour steadily and build King Parrot into a regular touring band here. We’re confident North America will be seeing and hearing plenty more from us in the next year or two, and if you haven’t seen us yet, get down early to one of these shows! It’s gonna be wild!”
