Next To None Announces December U.S. Tour Dates

Prog metal group Next To None, featuring drummer Max Portnoy, has been performing up and down the U.S. east coast for the past few weeks.

The band will continue regional performances with several newly announced dates taking place this December and on New Year’s Day of 2016.

The new dates will feature additional performances from bands such as Metal Allegiance, In The Presence of Wolves, and Ghost Ship Octavius. See below for all currently confirmed tour dates:

Ghost Ship Octavius Streaming New Lyric Video “Mills Of The Gods”

Following last year’s successful Kickstarter campaign, Ghost Ship Octavius, featuring guitarist Matt Wicklund (ex-God Forbid, ex-Himsa), drummer Van Williams (ex-Nevermore), and vocalist Adon Fanion, have finally released their self-titled debut which can be purchased HERE.

Ghost Ship Octavius Finishes Work On New Album

Ghost Ship Octavius – the super group that formed in 2013 and then never really did anything – has actually completing work on an album. Guitarist Matthew Wicklund comments:

“We are very pleased to announce that the completed debut Ghost Ship Octavius album and it’s final artwork will be sent off for manufacturing this coming Monday morning!

“It has been a tremendous amount of work but well worth every second. We would like to thank you all again for your support and patience…without it, this could not have happened!

“The release of this new album will mark the start of a new and very exciting chapter for us. We are super excited to take the music to stages around the world and share the ghostly, arctic GSO experience with you all! I will be posting the track listing shortly as well…”

Ghost Ship Octavius Posts Lyric Video, Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Ghost Ship Octavius is a progressive metal band formed in 2012 by lead guitarist Matt Wicklund (God Forbid, HIMSA, Warrel Dane), drummer Van Williams (Nevermore, Ashes of Ares, Pure Sweet Hell) and vocalist Adon Fanion. Take a listen to the band’s new track “Alive” via a lyric video below.

Ghost Ship Octavius has finished writing a currently-untitled upcoming album and has since teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Neil Kernon (Nevermore, Queensryche, Cannibal Corpse, Hall & Oates, Nile).

In order to get this project off to a great start, Ghost Ship Octavius is reaching out to fans to help fund the album via KickStarter. The campaign has been launched and offers pre-sales of the album, merchandise and many other perks, including 1-on-1 Skype video lessons, guest performances on your band’s album, being drawn into the album artwork, and more. Ghost Ship Octavius Releases Video For New Track “Saturn And Skies”

Ghost Ship Octavius has released a music video for “Saturn and Skies,” which is the band’s first officially released track. Check it out below. The band’s debut album is in production now, with further details forthcoming.

Ghost Ship Octavius is the new project featuring Matt Wicklund (God Forbid, Ex-Himsa, Warrel Dane Solo), Van Williams (ex-Nevermore, Pure Sweet Hell, Ashes of Ares), and Adon Fanion. The band originally feature Chris Amott, who has now departed, stating:

“Hey guys and gals, a little update – I’ve decided to step away from the Ghost Ship Octavius project. So, I am no longer involved with that. Best of luck to the rest of the guys.”

The band also added, “We wish Chris and Sara Claudius best of luck as well. Ghost Ship Octavius is NOT ending. We are just beginning and continuing to move forward despite our recent departures.”
