New Album In Progress – Heavy Touring in 2017 – First Dates Announced

Attention Human Scum!! Your Lords and Masters GWAR have been quiet lately, but do not fret, things are about to pick the fuck up! We have good news and bad news…what do you want first? Bad news? We thought so…

It is with both great sorrow, and a twinge of self-satisfied glee (because we love to make you suffer), that we announce the following: The GWAR B-Q has been postponed this year. Yes we know that sucks, but we will make it up with the biggest and baddest GWAR B-Q yet when it returns in 2018.

Why is the GWAR B-Q postponed? Well, this is the good news! The band is working on a new album and a whole new show that will blow your minds faster and harder than a meth addicted hooker blows a paycheck. Also, GWAR are about to take on the craziest year of touring in the band’s recent history, and will be destroying North America literally all year! We are still lining up dates for the year long killing spree, but don’t worry Bohabs, GWAR will be coming to visit all of your little shithole towns, and together, we will Make America Bleed Again! And as a little treat for all you Bohabs, GWAR can confirm their first tour dates set for April. The Scumdogs will hit Reading, PA, Columbus, OH and will headline the Berserker Metal Fest in Detroit, MI. Tickets for all of these shows go on sale this Friday February 10th.

Details about the new album remain sketchy, partly because the band wants to proceed with great secrecy, and partly because they have been very busy playing Pokémon GO. Suffice to say that they are working an album that will change the world as we know it, altering the consciousness of all living things. More details about the recording will be made available “when we fucking want to tell you“, says guitarist Pustulus Maximus. We wait with (mastur) bated breath!!

GWAR Live:
4/13: Reading, PA @ Reverb
4/14: Columbus, OH @ Newport Music Hall
4/15: Detroit, MI @ Berserker Fest VI @ Crofoot Ballroom

Fen Prepares For New Album “Winter”

Atmospheric U.K. black metal group Fen today announced details on a fifth full-length album, set to see release via Aural Music imprint Code666 this coming March.

Titled “Winter,” the six-track production was captured by Jaime Gomez Arellano at the Orgone Studios in London (Ulver, Altar Of Plagues, Grave Miasma, Primordial, Solstafir) and stands among the band’s most enticing piece of work yet for the English three-piece; rich in sound, beguilingly delicate, and shrouded in darkness.

The six “Winter” movements are thematically and compositionally linked and ideally, the whole record is intended to be listened to in one sitting to allow the full journey to be absorbed.

“Winter,” which comes sheathed in the cover art of Fen bassist/vocalist Grungyn, will be available in standard CD, double black vinyl limited to 300 copies, and digital formats in North America on March 10th followed by a European street date of March 17th.

1. I (Pathway)
2. II (Penance)
3. III (Fear)
4. IV (Interment)
5. V (Death)
6. VI (Sight)

Bonus (available on all the limited formats):
1. I The Keening Soils
2. II Sight (Reprise)
3. III Penumbral Whispers
4. IV Temples Beyond The Shoreline

Candiria Posts “Wandering Light” Music Video

Brooklyn’s own Candiria is bringing you a new video for “Wandering Light,” another powerful track off new record “While They Were Sleeping” – a concept album conceived by the band’s lead vocalist Carley Coma that tells the tale of a failed musician who rises up against a monarchy in New York City.

John LaMacchia (guitar) comments: “‘Wandering Light’ is one of my favorite songs off of the new album so I am very happy it was included in the live, Spaceman Sound Studio sessions. This version of the song includes an additional musical section that I feel adds another layer of excitement to the performance.”

Fresh off a successful North America headline tour in support of the album, Candiria will head back out on the road again this upcoming January/February. Dates are as follows:

Jan. 19 – Baltimore, MD – Ottobar
