Van Records Expanding With U.S. Division

Germany’s cult label Ván Records has sanctioned a partnership in the U.S. forging a new branch of the company to deliver the diverse catalog to more stateside listeners. Alongside the announcement, the label has also released new singles from The Ruins Of Beverast and Slaegt.

Having released over two-hundred albums, singles, EPs, splits, and more from across the realms of metal and rock since being founded in 2004, Ván Records has been largely responsible for the worldwide proliferation of acts such as The Devil’s Blood, Urfaust, King Dude, and countless others.

Now, Ván Records’ owner Sven Dinninghoff has furthered the label’s relationship with King Dude founder TJ Cowgill to help launch the new U.S. division of the entity out of Seattle. This new branch of Ván sees the catalog now distributed stateside through Revolver, making these titles much more accessible to fans across North America and beyond.

The first wave of titles to see U.S. release through this new deal will strike on May 19th, including new LPs from The Ruins Of Beverast, Slaegt, Gold, and Dread Sovereign, with many more to follow. A Ván Records retail shop will also be launched this Summer.

Cowgill states, “I am honored and proud to be a part of the ever growing Ván Records family, from working at first with Sven as an artist on the roster to now, becoming an integral part of the family as head of the label’s U.S. office. We have been planning this expansion now for over almost eight months, and seeing it come to life has been a truly awesome experience. Our dedicated staff and myself hope that through this expansion we will bring even more quality and excellence known from Ván into the lives of every single fan, record store and distributor in North America. Hail the glory of Lucifer!”

Lyric Video For New Song “Moloch Rise” Available From Nervochaos, Album Details Released

“Nyctophilia” is the seventh studio album by Brazilian extreme metal act Nervochaos and will be released on April 7, 2017 through Cogumelo Records in Brazil and Greyhaze Records in North America and Europe. Today the band released a lyric video for the new song “Moloch Rise,” which you can check out in the player below.

The new release is an eclectic mix of all that characterizes the band, 13 new tracks of 80s-fueled blackened extreme music, executed in Nervochaos’ trademark raw, aggressive and organic style of Metal. “Nyctophilia” has a new intensity and is a step forward compared to their older releases.

For the first time, the band recorded the album outside Brazil, spending a month in Como/Italy at Alpha Omega Studio along with producer Alex Azzali, who also did mixing and mastering of the new album. It’s also the first album composed and recorded with the new line-up which features Lauro ‘Nightrealm’ on vocal/guitar, Cherry on guitar, Thiago ‘Anduscias’ on bass and the only remaining original member Edu Lane on drums.

The album artwork (shown below) was created by Alcides Burn, a talented Brazilian artist that worked with acts such as Blood Red Throne, Acheron, Iconoclasm, Headhunter DC and many more. Nyctophilia also features special guest vocals appearance by Sebastian L. of Into Darkness and Leandro P. of R.N.S. plus one track, “Vampiric Cannibal Goddess,” which features the riffs of Bolverk (Ragnarok).

“Nyctophilia” surely is the best album up-to-date from Nervochaos, which managed to evolve musically without losing its trademark sound.

The track list for the new release is:

1. Moloch Rise
2. Ritualistic
3. Ad Majorem Satanae Gloriam
4. Season of the Witch
5. Waters of Chaos
6. The Midnight Hunter
7. Rites of the 13 Cemeteries
8. Vampiric Cannibal Goddess
9. Stained With Blood
10. Lord Death
11. Dead End
12. World Aborted
13. Live Like Suicide
