Zornheym Premieres New Song “Whom the Night Brings” From Upcoming New Album “Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns”

Swedish symphonic black metal outfit Zornheym – founded by multi-instrumentalist Zorn (ex-Dark Funeral, ex-Devian) – premieres a new song entitled “Whom the Night Brings”, taken from the upcoming new album “Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns”, which will be released September 15 under the auspice of Non Serviam Records.

Check out now “Whom the Night Brings” below.

States Zorn:

“I think this song is the easiest to understand the heart of this album. I remember demoing this track to our singer, Bendler, in the studio and he was so excited to dig his teeth into this one. Any old Devian fans out there? The solo section was originally written for Devian’s third album, which was never released. I have always loved that part and to expand upon it with our string and choir section just added so much more depth to it!”

Nekhrah Streaming “Cosmic Apostasy” Title Track

On the eve of the band’s performance at Power of the Night Festival, Cypriot death metallers Nekhrah reveal the title track for impending debut album, “Cosmic Apostasy,” which can be heard below. Previously known as Impalement, the Mediterranean act will self-release this album on September 29th, 2017.

Hailing from Nicosia, Cyprus the four-piece group distinguished itself locally through a signature blend of spine-crushing riffs and melody topped with distinctive vocals. New album “Cosmic Apostasy” was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music and artwork was handled by Maciej Kamuda.

The band name Nekhrah is an Anglicized version of the Greek word “????a” which means “death” or “deadness” and/or “emptiness” in Greek. The philosophy behind the band is Nihilistic. That is to say, the belief that existence is meaningless and that there is no inherent meaning in anything we do, think, or experience. The lyrics revolve heavily around misanthropy, cataclysm, self-destruction and a desire of non-existence.

Gateway to Hell Premieres Pre-Release Full-Album Stream Of Upcoming New EP “Clovers”

Maryland doom quintet Gateway to Hell premieres the pre-release full-album stream of the band’s upcoming new EP “Clovers”, which will arrive in stores later today via Unholy Anarchy Records.

Check out now “Clovers” in its entirety below.

Explains the band:

“Most of the songs we write are based around inside jokes that eventually snowball into a twisted story backed by catchy riffs. For instance, the title track started out as a reference to an episode of the show Review, where the main character has to go to jail with their imaginary friend named Clovers. From that joke, the song morphed into a reflection of the masks we wear to impress others, whether that be an uneasy performer onstage or an overwhelmed friend going through the motions of life. Clovers is equally inspired by the the life of Paul Stanley and your average childhood imaginary friend – both burdened to live up to the expectations of others in the face of the grim realities of life. Musically, we wanted to conjure the quiet before the show followed by the rush as the curtains get pulled. By the time the solo rolls around, you’re comfortable in your groove and have finally become the anticipated entertainment of the night. At the end of the song, the show’s over, and you’re left alone with your insecurities.”

Honeymoon Disease Announces New Album “Part Human, Mostly Beast”

Honeymoon Disease will unleash new album “Part Human, Mostly Beast” on the 27th of October via The Sign Records. The Swedish rock quartet’s second album is filled with high voltage pulse, colorful sounds and lots of groovy soul.

The band worked with producer Ola Ersfjord (Imperial State Electric, Primordial, Tribulation, Dead Lord) since the recording of last album “The Transcendence “(Napalm Records), which led up to a recording session with better crafted songs, a more luxurious production and a lot of focus on the vocal arrangements.

During the pre-production, the band and producer Ola Ersfjord found a mutual interest in old soul records. This interest paved the way for a recording session with a focus on strong vocal arrangements with more chorus and soul. Check out first single “Electric Eel” below. The full track listing is as follows:

1. Doin’ it Again
2. Only Thing Alive
3. Tail Twister

New Album Recordings Underway As Graveshadow Enteres Studio

Recently completing a west coast run of shows with Russia’s Arkona and Norway’s Sirenia, Sacramento’s Graveshadow – a male-backed symphonic metal band that incorporates doom, thrash and Goth metal influences – has entered the studio to begin recording the sophomore album and debut for M-Theory Audio.

The band settled into The Captains Quarters in Ventura, California with producer (and Night Demon guitarist) Armand John Anthony.

“The idea came to record with Armand while we were on tour with Night Demon. I got to talking with him and he showed me some of his production work,” explains Graveshadow guitarist Will Walker. “What we really want to accomplish on this album is more of a raw and organic sound while still maintaining the symphonic elements of the music. It was a natural fit. The gear, the room, everything is working out to realize exactly what we were looking for. Armand is an absolute joy to work with and we feel he’s really helping us make this the best it can be.”

Recording will continue over the month of July with plans to release in early 2018 via the new deal with M-Theory Audio. Stay tuned for updates.
