New Album Recordings Underway As Graveshadow Enteres Studio

Recently completing a west coast run of shows with Russia’s Arkona and Norway’s Sirenia, Sacramento’s Graveshadow – a male-backed symphonic metal band that incorporates doom, thrash and Goth metal influences – has entered the studio to begin recording the sophomore album and debut for M-Theory Audio.

The band settled into The Captains Quarters in Ventura, California with producer (and Night Demon guitarist) Armand John Anthony.

“The idea came to record with Armand while we were on tour with Night Demon. I got to talking with him and he showed me some of his production work,” explains Graveshadow guitarist Will Walker. “What we really want to accomplish on this album is more of a raw and organic sound while still maintaining the symphonic elements of the music. It was a natural fit. The gear, the room, everything is working out to realize exactly what we were looking for. Armand is an absolute joy to work with and we feel he’s really helping us make this the best it can be.”

Recording will continue over the month of July with plans to release in early 2018 via the new deal with M-Theory Audio. Stay tuned for updates.

Visigoth announces North American tour with Night Demon

– March 17th, 2016 –

Launches live video for “Dungeon Master” and “Mammoth Rider”

This spring, Salt Lake City’s Visigoth will embark on their first national trek with headliners Night Demon! The heavy metal quintet will be touring in support of their recently released debut, The Revenant King, which delivers “real-deal old-school goods with power and swagger to spare” (Revolver Magazine). For a preview of their epic live show, be sure to check out the new video for “Dungeon Master” and “Mammoth Rider“, shot at the “Frost and Fire Festival” last year:

Visigoth‘s Jake Rogers (vocals) comments: “We are pleased to embark on our first ever Eastward conquest alongside our brothers-in-arms in Night Demon! We are looking forward to the many nights of riff-fueled madness and heavy metal camaraderie that lie ahead.
Unfortunately, both our lead guitarist Lee and drummer Mikey are unable to join us for this run. We would like to welcome Noah Hadnutt and Connor Carlson onboard as they step in and take up arms in their absence and help us continue to die for rock’n’roll! See you on the road!”

Night Demon adds: “Well, it’s been a fulfilling experience for Night Demon touring the world in support of our most recent effort, ‘Curse of the Damned‘. We were fortunate enough to have the album honored as album of the year in five different publications, and make the top ten albums of 2015 in over thirty publications, worldwide. To honor our fans who now have had the time to sit with the album and get familiar with it, as well as the fans who have yet to see these songs performed live, Night Demon will be hitting the road this Spring for what we are calling the “Final Curse” tour. We will be performing ‘Curse of the Damned‘ in its entirety every night of the tour in over thirty cities across the United States. We are also pleased to be bringing out Visigoth as support on their first national tour. Thanks for the endless support! This one is for the fans and all the people out there who have continued to make ‘Curse of the Damned‘ a very successful album for the band.”

While they pay tribute to the titans of steel that left their mark on metal history, Visigoth goes above and beyond mere imitation, making their own musical mark on the genre they lovingly embrace. As NPR Music proclaims, “[Visigoth] looks to Manowar, Judas Priest and Manilla Road…for that classic ’80s sound, but the production is decidedly heavier, with mammoth choruses led by Jake Rogers’ regal voice.” To preview and purchase the band’s first full-length, The Revenant King, please visit:
