GWAR Announce Australian Tour

– January 25th, 2018 –

Attention Human Scum!!!

Earth’s favourite interplanetary warriors, GWAR, are returning to conquer and destroy Australia in APRIL 2018!

The Blood of Gods Tour continues on into Australia, as your masters and supreme overlords take their one of a kind carnival of blood-drenched death and destruction Down Under. The last time GWAR visited Australia in 2014, they upset the Australian public with the controversial and media-hyped beheading of an effigy of then-Prime Minister, Tony Abbott. The body count will be even higher when GWAR returns to Australia in April of 2018 for more heavy metal carnage. Mark your calendars or leave the country.

Blothar the Berskerer had this to say about the upcoming bloodbath: “People of Australia, koala bears, kangaroos, crocodiles, wallabies…lend me your ears…and your skulls, and all of your internal organs…GWAR is coming to turn the Land of Dreams into your worst nightmare. Fire up the barby, we are going to eat Australia!

As for the Adelaide scum and your worthless existence, the so-called “Rock Capital of Australia”… is that crack rock? We shall turn the Great Australian Bight into our Great Australian BITE as our parting gift to Australia.

GWAR are riding the wave of worldwide dominance with their new record The Blood of Gods, released by Metal Blade Records in October 2017. The new record, and the spectacular tour to support it, have been praised by fans and media alike as triumphs of unimaginable genius.

Formed in Antarctica 1984 by manager Sleazy P. Martini, GWAR has forged a path of debauchery for over 30 years and it seems their work is still not done.

GWAR‘s mythology is rich in political and social satire. Their cult-following is galvanized by their controversial, indefatigable and ostentatious live performances, where crowds of willing slaves are subjected to ripe humour and theatrical imagery… and lots and lots of blood, vomit and other bodily fluids.

This tour was a masterpiece of the bizarre, an epic telling of a collection of freakish fairy tales” – metalwani.com

Accuser releases video for “Catacombs”

– January 23rd, 2018 –

New album “The Mastery’ out this Friday!

German thrash legends ACCUSER will release their new album The Mastery January 26th via Metal Blade Records! As of today, fans can watch the brand new video for Catacombs at metalblade.com/accuser.

ACCUSER comments on the new video: “Catacombs describes the attempt to escape a psychological dead end. Imprinting, education and religion are the possible causes of this dark aberration, so the lyrics of this tune are quite gloomy and kinda fit into the present time where a lot of people have to deal with depression, fear or mental problems. Musically, Catacombs is a classical Accu§er thrash anthem with taughtly riffs, a chorus you can scream your lungs out to and some really intense solos.

Fans can also hear Mission Missile and Time For Silence on their Metal Blade Records youtube playlist HERE, as well as on Spotify and Apple Music.

The Mastery is available in the following formats:
–CD
–180g black vinyl
–Aubergine marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 200 copies)
–Black purple splattered vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 100 copies)
–Pastel pink/violet marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 160 copies)

The Mastery track listing:
1. Mission-Missile
2. The Real World
3. Solace in Sorrow
4. Time for Silence
5. My Skin
6. Catacombs
7. Mourning
8. Ruthless
9. Into the Black
10. The Mastery

ACCUSER has been in a constant songwriting mode all over last year. Combined with the energy and spontaneity from several live shows the songs came together very quickly. Together with long time producer Martin Buchwalter they put together the record in the summer of 2017 at well-known Gernhart Studio (Destruction, Tankard and many more). For the band The Mastery, is some kind of missing link between the technical virtuosity of an album like Who dominates Who and the more basic, heavy approach of Repent. Best of both worlds so to say and not only for the band the best album since their comeback in 2008. The Mastery contains all of the elements that define the ACCUSER sound: heavy, chunky thrash riffs, aggressive vocals with a touch of melody – in addition to the high class guitar solos by youngster Dennis Rybakowski. When it comes to the lyrical side of their songs, b>ACCUSER still raises their voices to denounce social grievances.

ACCUSER line-up:
Frank Thoms – vocals/guitars
Dennis Rybakowski – guitars
Frank Kimpel – bass
Olli Fechner – drums

On March 9th, Twitching Tongues will release their new album, Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred, via Metal Blade Records. For a first preview of Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred, the video for the new single “Harakiri” (directed by David Brodsky / davidsbrodsky.com) can be viewed now at: metalblade.com/twitchingtongues – where the record is also available for pre-order in the following formats:

–CD
–Ultra clear vinyl + download card (limited to 500 copies – USA exclusive)
–Metallic gold/black split vinyl + download card (limited to 250 copies – USA exclusive)
–Metallica gold w/ black smoke vinyl + download card (limited to 250 copies – USA exclusive)

–Black w/ bronze splatter vinyl + download card (limited to 300 copies – EU exclusive)
–Beer inside grey split vinyl + download card (limited to 200 copies – EU exclusive)
* exclusive bundles with a shirt, plus digital options are also available!

Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred track-listing:
1. AWOL (State of the Union)
2. Harakiri
3. Kill for You
4. T.F.R.
5. Forgive & Remember
6. Gaining Purpose
7. Long Gone
8. The Sound of Pain
9. Defection (Union of the State)

The title for Twitching Tongues‘ fourth full-length, Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred, was drawn from a quote by famed social philosopher Eric Hoffer – “Passionate hatred can give meaning and purpose to an empty life” – and it reflects the band’s mentality in approaching the record: paying homage to those who supported them while belligerently responding to their detractors. With “failure” as a core theme driving Colin Young’s lyrics, it also features his first foray into the political arena, motivated by the contemporary political climate to speak his mind. Directly inspired by film scores, the record has a strong epic feel, the band realizing their vision of having the music flow like a story being told. With interconnected parts, musical references and callbacks in each song, everything is tied together in a manner unlike any of their previous releases. At the same time, while maintaining the same levels of hardness and aggression that has characterized their later work, it features much more immediate and memorable melodies, which evoke the sound of In Love There Is No Law yet at the same time feel fresh and new.

Twitching Tongues line-up:
Colin Young – Vocals
Taylor Young – Guitar/Vocals
Sean Martin – Guitar
Alec Faber – Bass
Cayle Sain – Drums
