Produced by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Queensryche, Whitechapel, etc.), The Outer Ones sees Revocation pushing both the death metal and progressive elements of their signature sound harder than ever. “I knew that I wanted to go in a darker direction, and this is our most death metal album to date,” states vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson. “Sometimes when death metal bands go down the prog route they lose some of that edge, but we wanted to keep the aggression at the forefront of what we do while still pushing our boundaries.” Moving away from the societal and historical themes that informed 2016′s Great is Our Sin, this time Davidson has immersed himself in the fantastic, evoking one of the great writers of the sci-fi/horror genre. “The title is my ode to H.P. Lovecraft and the entities of pure cosmic horror that rule that universe he created. Since the new music we were writing was so evil and spacey in sections it seemed to be the right title to fit the overall vibe. But while the lyrical content is largely influenced by such writings, in every allegory there is of course some reflection of the real world, so I enjoy writing in a way that could have one overlaying meaning and then another deeper, symbolic meaning as well.”

Hamferð releases live video of “Stygd”

– September 27th, 2018 –

Set to play shows in Europe next week!

Faroese doomsters Hamferð have released a live recorded video of “Stygd”, the 2nd track from their new album, Támsins likam, released on Metal Blade earlier this year. The song is part of the recorded album release show on March 17th, 2018 at the old Sjonleikarahusið theater in Torshavn, Faroe Islands. To watch the clip, please visit: youtube.com/watch?v=pLtwVGB7f60

Támsins likam was played in its entirety, as well as a selection of older songs, including “Odn” – the band’s very first song, which, although being a live staple, was never released.

Singer Jon Aldara comments: “This concert was a meticulous production in regards to performance, sound and lighting, and we felt it was the perfect opportunity to record it properly. It’s a great feeling to have a live recording of Hamferð that does not come from an iPhone or from a festival production that we had little to no control over. We took everything in our own hands and went the whole nine yards with a brilliant crew, well-considered stage design and all the high-end equipment we could get our hands on. Luckily, I really think it shows!”

Hamferð will play a selection of shows in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands in October:
Oct. 2 – Stuttgart, Germany – Club Zentral (w. Egonaut)
Oct. 3 – Leipzig, Germany – Hellraiser (w. Egonaut)
Oct. 4 – Hamburg, Germany – Bambi Galore (w. Egonaut)
Oct. 5 – Paderborn, Germany – Metal Inferno Festival
Oct. 6 – Saint Georges, Belgium – From Dusk til Doom 4
Oct. 7 – Tilburg, Netherlands – Little Devil

Additionally, Hamferð will head out on a tour of Scandinavia in December, notably playing Sweden for the first time in their 10-year long career. See below for dates:

Hamferð tour dates
w/ Svartmalm

Dec. 5 – Kobenhavn, Denmark – Beta 2300

Behemoth reveals details for new album, ‘I Loved You at Your Darkest’

– August 2nd, 2018 –

Launches video for new single, “God = Dog”; announces European tour with At the Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room

“It doesn’t get more blasphemous than this,” declares Behemoth mastermind Nergal, about the band’s upcoming album, I Loved You At Your Darkest – due out October 5th via Metal Blade Records (North America) / Nuclear Blast (Europe). While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. “It’s a verse from the Bible,” Nergal reveals. “It’s actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it’s sacrilege to the extreme.”

A crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema, I Loved You At Your Darkest is the group’s most dynamic record yet: extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be pre-ordered now at: metalblade.com/behemoth – where the video for the first single, “God = Dog” (directed by Grupa 13 / grupa13.com), can also be viewed. The following formats are available in the USA, along with an exclusive t-shirt:

–jewelcase CD

–clear w/ grey inside (Kings Road exclusive – limited to 500 copies)
–”God = Dog” 7″ picture disc (Metal Blade Records exclusive – limited to 666 copies)
