Master’s Call Premiere New Song & Music Video “From Once Beneath The Cursed” From Upcoming Debut EP ‘Morbid Black Trinity’

With the release of their debut EP ‘Morbid Black Trinity’ looming, Master’s Call have premiered a new music video for ‘From Once Beneath The Cursed’. Recorded at Parlour Studios (Napalm Death, At The Gates, Sikth) ‘From Once Beneath The Cursed’ is the Wolverhampton Black Metal group’s first music performance video.

“The track is about a physical embodiment formed from the underlying evil and madness of the world, and we have a depiction of this running throughout the video in the form of a decrepit figure awakening and rising”, explains guitarist Dave Powell.

He adds:

“These scenes in a small cellar that had been recently damaged by flooding. It was cold, dark and damp. For the band performance shots we were filmed in an abandoned school in the Black Country area. There was no power, so we took a generator to power the necessary equipment in the room. The generator did cut out a number of times whilst filming, plunging us into darkness, but we managed to bring it back to life and push on through!”

Cancer Reveals New Album, “Shadow Gripped” Details

Out on November 2nd via Peaceville is the brutal new studio album from the reinvigorated UK death metal legends Cancer. The release reunites the core original trio of John Walker, Carl Stokes, and Ian Buchanan.

The release includes a free exclusive bonus track download of “Crocodile Itch”, delivered on release date with each CD or vinyl pre-order.

One of the UK’s premiere death metal purveyors of the late 80’s and early 90’s, and responsible for such genre classics as To the Gory End (1990) and Death Shall Rise (1991), Cancer marks 30 years of existence with their sixth full length studio album, reuniting all three original core members – John Walker on guitar/vocals, Ian Buchanan on bass and Carl Stokes on drums – for the first time since 1995.

Shadow Gripped features ten songs of brutal old school death metal, and was recorded at Foel studios, with Simon Efemey (Paradise Lost, Napalm Death, Amorphis) handling production and mixing duties alongside the band.

Also features a guest appearance from Anders Nyström of Swedish deathlords, Bloodbath, who comments: “Believe it or not, but Katatonia used to play a Cancer cover in our early live sets, yup that’s right ’Burning Casket’! We then saw ourselves go on and form a little death metal band based on the opening track of To The Gory End, and hey we all know that one, don’t we? Last year we ended up recording this song and put it out on a 7” EP and I thought it probably won’t get any better than this, but it did, as I was given the honour to put down a guest solo on their new ball-cutting album! CFC is back and it has me even more stoked than Carl is Stokes!”

Tracklisting:

1. Down The Steps
2. Garrotte
3. Ballcutter
4. Organ Snatcher
5. The Infocidal
6. Half Man Half Beast
7. Crimes So Vile
8. Thou Shalt Kill
9. Shadow Gripped
10. Disposer
