Rivers Of Nihil Debut New Track “Where Owls Know My Name”

You can now hear the title track to Rivers Of Nihil‘s upcoming new effort “Where Owls Know My Name“ streaming below.

The song features a guest spot from Black Crown Initiate guitarist/vocalist Andy Thomas. Rivers Of Nihil guitarist Brody Uttley comments:

“On the title track of ‘Where Owls Know My Name‘, we really let out a different side of our musical personality that nobody has ever seen from us before. This song in many ways feels like the perfect culmination of everything that we were, everything that we are, and everything that we will come to be. Our long time friend Andy Thomas from Black Crown Initiate also contributed some fantastic vocal lines to this track.”

“Where Owls Know My Name” will be out in stores on March 16th via Metal Blade.

“I did not divorce Twiggy as a friend or brother, because I still care about him greatly. But I can’t say that my musical relationship with Twiggy has been good for several years. My relationship with Tyler Bates on ‘The Pale Emperor‘ made something open up in me and I didn’t want to let negative energy back in my life.

There were other people in my life that I thought were my friends that I had to cut out this year, a lot of betrayals that surprised me, and I had to clean house and adopt and new attitude. People mistook my kindness and generosity for weakness. So I kinda adapted this attitude, like, ‘If you fuck with me, there will be consequences.’ I have issues with intimacy. That might sound weird given that we’re lying in bed together, but y’know…”

Carach Angren Streams Full New Album “Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten”

Carach Angren’s new album “Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten” is due to drop tomorrow – June 16th – via Season Of Mist, but today the full album has come online for advance streaming. The band comments:

Lethal Affection Posts “Frozen In Time” Video

If you’re looking for a band with shredding guitar, heavy grooves, and operatic vocals, look no further than New Jersey’s own Lethal Affection.

The band was founded five years ago in New Brunswick by guitarists Joe Percario and Nick Kashmanian to shake up the musical landscape and put classic heavy metal back on the map. Joined by lead vocalist Noah Simon, and by drummer Cameron Rozell, this high-energy outfit is proving that rock and roll is still very much alive and well.

Today Lethal Affection releases a new video for the single “Frozen in Time” – check it out below. The single appears on upcoming full-length album “Choose a Side” due out this fall. The album was recorded at Conclave Studios in Manhattan, produced by Corey Pierce of God Forbid, and mixed by Christopher “Zeuss” Harris.

John Frum Posts “Pining Light” Live Video

As the release date for the band’s debut record draws closer, cult metal collective John Frum has shared an epic live video for “Pining Light” today that was filmed at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY on April 15th.

The studio version of the song can be found on the band’s forthcoming album, “A Stirring In The Noos,” which will be released via Relapse Records on May 12th. Pre-orders are online now over here.

This new video for “Pining Light” was filmed by Frank Huang (Maximum Volume Silence) and can be seen below.
