Mushroomhead Posts New DVD, “Volume III” Trailer

Masked metal veterans Mushroomhead has posted a new trailer online for their forthcoming new DVD, “Volume III.” You can check it out below. The DVD is scheduled to be released on August 17th through Megaforce Records and features over 90 minutes of new material including new music videos, backstage antics and exclusive never-seen-before content. It is also the band’s first release of any kind since the 2014 album, “The Righteous And The Butterfly,” which debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200, making it their most successful album to date.

Kissing Candice Debut Cover Of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”

Kissing Candice debut their take on the title track to Michael Jackson‘s 33x multi-platinum album, “Thriller“. Next month will see the group embark on the inaugural ‘Summer Of Screams Tour‘ with Mushroomhead, Powerman 5000 and more.

“We are all big MJ fans! We were watching the video for Thriller and it just clicked. The aesthetic and lyrical content of the song fit us perfectly so we decided to hit the studio with Zach Jones and put our own spin on it.”

Mushroomhead Pay Tribute To “Evil Dead” With New Music Video“We Are The Truth”

Mushroomhead debut the below music video for a new version of their 2014 track “We Are The Truth“. Jackie LaPonza (UnSaid Fate, etc.) guests on the song. The clip will appear on thegroup’s upcoming DVD release, “Volume III“, out August 17th via Megaforce Records. Mushroomhead will be headlining the ‘Summer Of Screams Tour‘ in support of it.

Comments Mushroomhead’s drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton: “As you can imagine, the entire Mushroomhead camp is heavily into Horror films. So, we decided to do an ‘Evil Dead‘ tribute. Dr. F, Stitch and myself were responsible for all set designs. I think the end result is very creepy and a lot of fun.”

Mushroomhead’s Co-Founding Lead Vocalist Jeffrey Nothing Quits The Band

Mushroomhead‘s co-founding lead vocalist Jeffrey Nothing (aka Jeffrey Hatrix, Jeffrey Hetrick,) has parted ways with the band. States Nothing:

“I am coming to you today with a heavy heart to announce that I am leaving Mushroomhead. It is a decision that I did not make easily, but one I made for reasons that are best for me as an artist and musician at this juncture in my career.”

The group themselves have not yet officially commented on that matter and it is uncertain whether or not it will affect Mushroomhead‘s immediate touring plans, which include a March 17th show at Music Lynxx in Mentor-On-The-Lake, OH.

Naberus Inks Deal With Eclipse Records

Eclipse Records is thrilled to announce the signing of Naberus to an exclusive, worldwide deal. Hailing from Melbourne Australia, Naberus is a four piece metal band heavily influenced by melodic death and thrash metal.

Below you can watch the lyric video for “Drones,” taken from upcoming album “The Lost Reveries,” which is slated for a fall release.

Bassist Jordy Mitchell said of the signing, “I’m very excited to be signed by Eclipse Records, as I am a massive Mushroomhead fan, so to be given the opportunity to start where they did is pretty amazing.”

Saints Of Death Posts “Watching Me Die” Drum Cam Footage

Vancouver, BC’s Saints Of Death (a name inspired by the Mexican folklore of Santa Muerte) just posted a video capturing drummer Christopher James pounding out the track “Watching Me Die.” This video was taken during the band’s performance at The Phoenix Ballroom in Abbottsford, BC back in October.

Coal Chamber & Down To Headline Dirt Fest 2015

Coal Chamber & Down will both return to Michigan to headline the Dirt Fest 2015 on August 7th – 8th.

Down will make Dirt Fest 2015 the band’s exclusive Michigan performance of 2015, joined by Pop Evil, Kottonmouth Kings, & more on Saturday August 8th. Down will close the night performing new and classic cuts spanning its 20+ year career.

For the first time since its history, Dirt Fest 2015 has expanded its event to 2 full days of music performances with Coal Chamber headlining Friday, August 7th along with Mushroomhead, Fear Factory, King 810, & more.

Ascent To Power Working On Sophomore Album

Ascent To Power, Maine’s own metal powerhouse (who has shared the stage with Mushroomhead, Suicide Silence, Unearth, Kittie, and more) just wrapped up the band’s final show of 2014 playing along side Threatpoint.

Ascent To Power will be taking the next few months off from playing live to work on and record a sophomore release due out in early 2015. Further details are forthcoming.
