Tau Cross Announces New Album “Pillar Of Fire”

Tau Cross – the multinational punk / heavy metal collective revolving around Amebix bassist and frontman Rob “The Baron” Miller and Voivod drummer Michel “Away” Langevin – just announced details on a second full-length album.

“Pillar Of Fire” is due out July 21st on CD/2xLP/digital formats via Relapse Records. Additionally, the band has premiered a music video for the new song “Deep State,” directed by Jakub Moth. Check it out below.

Tau Cross commented on the new album: “’Pillar of Fire’ is the continuation of some of the ideas that were explored on our first Album, this time we have managed to share the songwriting more equally and introduce some other textures to the songs. This should help to establish Tau Cross as less of a one off phenomena and more of an ongoing musical collective producing our own distinctive sonic environment.”

Raising The Veil Premieres New Track “Qubit Computed Multiverse”

In the wake of a successful crowd-funding campaign this spring, the multinational technical death metal outfit Raising The Veil has teamed up with NCS to premiere its first new full song since 2012. The track titled “Qubit Computed Multiverse” is taken from the upcoming new album “Bosonic Quantum Phenomena” and can be streamed using the player below.

The new album marks the band’s second release overall, following their 2012 EP “Yucatanimvs”. In its current configuration, the band includes Austrian vocalist George Wilfinger (Monument of Misanthropy, Disfigured Divinity, ex-Miasma), Canadian guitarist Daniel McLellan and bass-player Denis Landry, and Necrophagist drummer Romain Goulon.

Corrosion Streaming New Single “Prone To Dreams”

Corrosion – the multinational metal group formed by ex-Trivium drummer Nick Augusto and featuring vocalist/bassist Tommy Hjelm (Insense, Beaten To Death) and guitarists Christopher Cussell (Before The Mourning) and Martin Rygge (Insense, Beaten To Death) – will release a self-titled debut EP on March 27th via Mas-Kina Recordings.

This 3-track release was recorded by Jason Suecof at Audiohammer Studios and Phil Pluskota at Redbeard Studios, and was then mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at Dugout Studios in Sweden.

Today, Corrosion has teamed up with New Noise Magazine to premiere a second single off the EP. Check out “Prone To Dreams” below.

About this project Augusto stated: “It’s just four friends playing what makes us feel good and I really hope you all enjoy it. Really looking forward to making a full length and seeing everyone on tour soon. The idea for this project came together right after me and Trivium parted ways… All of us in Corrosion were friends already so it just felt right to start it up. I was an Insense fan, so going for a long shot them being all the way in Norway and I wanted to play in a band with them. We talked through emails and made it happen.

“We just wrote three songs and felt like it was a good introduction and a full length will come eventually. What you hear on this EP is just what we felt at the time and that’s what came out and it felt pretty damn good and clicked right away.”

Crystal Tears Signs With Massacre Records To Release New Album

Massacre Records has posted the following announcement online about recruiting Crystal Tears to the label’s roster:
