Sue me!” before lifting up his shirt, telling jokes about Michael Jackson and paedophilia, hurling insults and tapping people on the head with his book. He was reported to the human resources department and promptly banned from the building for life.

Video Clip For New Song “Serotonin” Issued By Angel Vivaldi, North American Tour Dates Announced

World renowned guitar prodigy Angel Vivaldi is a phenom that takes the term “guitar virtuoso” to another stratosphere. If you are unfamiliar, then welcome to the party, as Vivaldi now gears up to release his new conceptual album “Synapse” which is set for an Oct 6th release.

A very eye-catching and innovative, new music video for the track, “Serotonin,” is now live at the link below. Nita Strauss (Alice Copper) dances off in her cameo in the clip as well. It’s a MUST SEE ASAP, so check it out:

Vivaldi is also going to embark on a massive North American tour with Scale The Summit and Andy James (starting Nov 2nd). All dates can be found at this location.

Vivaldi states: “There’s a huge contrast between the video release for ‘Dopamine’ and this one for ‘Serotonin.’ My videos are another piece of the concept album that allow me to express what each song is about cinematically. Dancing is one of the best examples of ‘Serotonin’ working its magic – you feel good, you’re confident and the vibes are just right.

“Out of all of my music videos, this was the one that required the most amount of effort to pull off. I really thought it was going to be easier… turned out to be 6 months of constant choreography practice while playing. Even though it’s not a live performance I strived to make sure I put the work in to be authentic, not just some bozo miming sloppy guitar playing while dancing. This is where my Michael Jackson influence undoubtedly shows.”

“I’m going to be performing quite a bit of the new record in addition to all the fan favorites. Every time I head out for a tour, I always up the antics and bring something fresh and new that people haven’t yet experienced. To share the stage with Scale the Summit and the amazing Andy James is going to be an unforgettable and inspirational tour for myself and our audiences. This is a long-time coming and look forward to seeing all of you soon!

“‘Synapse’ was written about what I know best, which is life in my own human experience. The idea for the concept came to me some years ago during a period of extreme highs and lows. I noticed how this reflected in the music I was writing, so I decided to ride the waves and focus each song to a different brain chemical/emotion. Painting my studio 9 colors for each song might’ve been extreme, but I could think of no other way to immerse myself in a particular energy more so. I’ve always been relentlessly goal-oriented, this time I wanted to be process oriented.”

New Album “The Illuminated Sky” Detailed By Prospekt

Laser’s Edge division Sensory Records announces the re-emergence of UK-based Prospekt, as the band completes the textured second album, “The Illuminated Sky.” Closing a four-year void since the release of the lauded “The Colourless Sunrise” debut, the follow-up will see release this July.

Prospekt spent 2016 writing and recording “The Illuminated Sky,” during which they acquired two iconic guest artists to take part in the album: Guitar virtuoso Greg Howe of Michael Jackson fame provides an eclectic solo on the powerful “Alien Makers Of Discord” and vocalist Marc Hudson of DragonForce provides a stellar contrast to Morris’ voice on the epic “Where Masters Fall.” Combine with that the excellent production, thanks to the mixing skills of Øyvind Larsen at Lionheart Studios, and the massive mastering job by mastermind Jens Bogren, and the result is album that has progressed upon the debut album and will no doubt open the floodgates to new fans.

From technical power metal, laden with soaring vocals and blistering guitar work, to epic orchestral driven prog, Prospekt has produced the best effort to date. “The Illuminated Sky” is an album that excites and takes the listener on a journey through the cosmos via the wonders of prog.

The band commented: “It’s been a long time in the making but we are super excited for everyone to listen to the new album. We feel it’s our best work to date – more progressive, polished and at the same time heavier, with a stronger emphasis on the melody. New members Rox and Michael have given awesome performances alongside guest artists Greg Howe and Marc Hudson. Musically, each composition has its own unique identity. From the cinematic title track to the Japanese inspired ‘Akaibara’, all of the songs come together and form an album that flows and connects. We wanted to create an album that could be described as ‘a journey through music’ and hopefully the listeners will feel that, when they enter ‘The Illuminated Sky.'”

“The Illuminated Sky” is slated for a July 21st release through Sensory Records. Stand by for audio samples, preorder links, and more to be issued in the days ahead. The artwork by Mattias Norén and the album’s track listing have been released below:

Alice Cooper Announces New Guitarist Orianthi

Alice Cooper posted the following announcement about the replacement for guitarist Damon Johnson:

“Alice Cooper announced today that eminent guitar prodigy Orianthi will join his band, replacing departing guitarist Damon Johnson, for the next leg of his 2011 ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’ world tour starting September 22,2011 in Auckland, New Zealand. Currently in progress, the tour hits ninety plus cities, covering five continents, including Europe and North America twice over.

“At the young age of 26, Orianthi has already experienced what most aspiring musicians only dream of. She’s opened for her hero, Steve Vai; backed Carrie Underwood; traded solos with Carlos Santana; shared the stage with the King of Pop (Michael Jackson) and accompanied Alice during his live performance of “School’s Out” on the 2010 season finale of American Idol.

“‘It’s very difficult to find someone to match the talents of Damon Johnson,’ commented Cooper, ‘but not only did we find someone who is more than up to the challenge…she also looks WAY better.’

“Orianthi will join world-renowned guitarist Steve Hunter (toured and recorded with Cooper and Lou Reed) and Tommy Henriksen (co-wrote and played on Cooper’s upcoming release); drummer Glen Sobel and Alice’s longtime bassist Chuck Garric round out the band.

“‘I’m super excited to go on tour with Alice,” said Orianthi. “It’s a huge honor to be able to get on stage and jam with an icon.’

“Orianthi will debut with the band for a performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Friday September 9, 2011 on NBC.”
