All Else Fails Nominated For “Metal Recording Of The Year” Award

All Else Fails has been nominated for an Edmonton Music Award in the Metal Recording of The Year category for “The Forever Lie.” The EP was released in February and continues the Edmonton band’s aggressively dark brand of metal that breaks traditional ideals.

Vocalist / guitarist Barrett Klesko comments on the nomination: “We are honoured to be nominated for Metal Recording of the Year at the 2017 Edmonton Music Awards. We are in excellent company; the choices this year are all great bands and even better people.”

Striker Awarded “Metal Artist Of The Year” At The 2016 Western Canadian Music Awards

It’s been an award winning year for Edmonton, AB’s Striker. First the band won an Edmonton Music Prize along with the Edmonton Music Award for Metal Recording of The Year off the strength of “Too Late” from the “Stand In The Fire” album.

Now adding to that growing list of awards, the power new wave metallers have been celebrated with a 2016 Western Canadian Music Award for Metal / Hard Music Artist of The Year.

The band comments: “We are so very honoured to receive the award for Metal Artist of The Year from the Western Canadian Music Awards! Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us in getting our music out into the world, and we hope everyone is ready for another dose of Striker coming soon!”

Striker Wins “Metal Recording Of The Year” At Edmonton Music Awards

After wrapping up a USA and Canadian tour last week, Striker returned home just in time to receive an award at this year’s Edmonton Music Awards for “Metal Recording of The Year.”

Striker earned the win for the track “Too Late,” from latest album “Stand In The Fire” released this past February. Guitarist Tim Brown comments:

“Huge thanks to Edmonton Music community, as well as everyone that has helped us out over the years including the AFA, Edmonton Arts Council, FACTOR, and many others! We hope this award can bring some awareness to all the other great bands coming out of Edmonton these days as well.”

Eyal Levi Announces Metal Recording Bootcamp Workshop

CreativeLive Music & Audio has announced an extensive heavy metal production workshop dubbed the “Metal Recording Bootcamp” and set to take place over a four week span starting March 7th.

Hosted by one of producer/educator Eyal Levi, Metal Recording Bootcamp will give viewers unprecedented access inside Clear Lake Recording in Los Angeles as Levi and special guest band, Monuments, demonstrate how to record flawless takes and how to prepare to enter the studio.

The bootcamp will kick-off on March 7th with a live half day session that lays out the entire month’s curriculum. Every weekday for the next four weeks will feature a new hour-long segment on Every Friday, Levi will do a live check to follow-up on that week’s lessons.

After announcing the return of drummer Ryan Biggs last month, All Else Fails is now proud to reveal more great news for 2014, with the band being nominated for “Metal Recording of The Year” at this year’s Edmonton Music Awards.

Corpus Mortale Inks Deal With Deepsend Records To Release "FleshCraft"

Danish death metallers Corpus Mortale have signed to Deepsend Records. Deepsend will release the Danes’ third album “FleshCraft” this Fall, with pre-orders available right here. “FleshCraft” is the follow-up to Corpus Mortale’s 2007 sophomore album, “A New Species of Deviant” and first for Deepsend Records. The label comments:
