Decapitated Announce UK/IRE ‘Killing The European Cult 2019 Tour’ Dates

Decapitated are pleased to announce a string of UK/IRE dates as part of their ‘Killing The European Cult 2019’ tour. Accompanying the four piece on the road in February will be death meta outfits Dyscarnate from Horsham, UK and Baest from Aarhus, Denmark.

Decapitated guitarist Waclaw “Vogg” Kieltyka said:
“Last weekend we played Mammothfest UK to a fully packed venue, which makes that night very special. The show was amazing and it was a truly magical night. After the show I was really grateful for all of you who showed up, talked with us and showed us your support. Maybe you don’t know but IT MEANS A LOT!!

Moreover I am more than happy to announce our return to the UK. I am honoured to inform the metal community in UK/IRE that Decapitated will be heading back in February 2019!

Since our debut album “Winds of Creation”, the UK has always been a second home to me. We have never felt like strangers and I simply love to play here, and every time I jump on stage I know I’m in the right place. I have so many memories from old times and many friends who support us and are ready to help. Maybe it sounds a little bit sentimental but after the hard times we had last year, I appreciate everything 1000 times more than ever.

That’s why I am super excited to also have Dyscarnate and Baest on our UK/IRE tour. Dyscarnate is a well-known band especially in UK and they just crush live! Baest has THIS energy you want to see in every band during a show. Both bands are amazing, have great music to share with people and I am sure they will dominate the metal scene faster than we think.

This line-up will destroy everything on it’s way. Join us in February for “Killing The European Cult!”

‘Killing The European Cult 2019’ UK/IRE tour dates are as follows:

11.02 BRIGHTON – CONCORDE
12.02 MANCHESTER- ACADEMY 3
13.02 GLASGOW – CLASSIC GRAND

Nasty Savage Bassist Richard Bateman Passes Away

Florida thrash metal veterans Nasty Savage has announced that their bassist, Richard Bateman, suffered a heart attack and passed away on Wednesday, September 5th.

A message from the band states: “It is with deep sadness to announce Richard Bateman has passed away today. We are all devastated. God Bless his family, God Bless Richard Bateman. RIP Brother.”

Guitarist David Austin issued the following statement: “My longtime friend Richard Bateman has passed away from a heart attack, absolutely devastated, extraordinary bass playing that he did with Nasty Savage especially Penetration Point, I can’t even put it into words, absolutely devastated. I hope the metal community will surround his family with open arms and give them the comfort that they need at this moment and time, I’m completely shocked. Love you Richard may he rest in peace, genuine loving person and extraordinary bass player to say the least.”

Bateman had four stints with the band, beginning in 1988 until the band’s initial dissolution two years later. He returned in 1998, then again from 2002 until 2012, then finally returned in 2016.

Nachtmystium Signs With Prophecy Productions

Well, it finally happened. A label with an apparent total lack of pattern recognition has signed the reactivated Nachtmystium. Good luck Prophecy Productions — you’re going to need it. Prophecy issued this statement:

“The group has completed work on a new EP titled ‘Resilient,’ which was recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with engineer Chris Djuric. Additional recording sessions also occurred in Norway, Germany, and the band’s home base of California before tracking from all contributing members was complete. ‘Resilient’ is slated for an early 2018 release date via Prophecy.

“Now sober, Judd continues to rebuild his life, both personally and professionally. As part of Nachtmystium joining the Prophecy Productions family of artists, the band will release future recordings through the label, who will also reissue much of the group’s extensive back catalog. The new union supersedes the band’s previously-announced deal with Earache Records.”

Guitarist / vocalist Blake Judd comments: “Nachtmystium is extremely honored to be working with Prophecy Productions. It is a true pleasure for me to have been able to develop a personal relationship with the Prophecy label staff in Southern California. We are able to meet face-to-face regularly and work together at creating the best possible environment for Nachtmystium to begin to rebuild it’s way back into the metal community after some very dark years and times that I have spent the majority of the last two years cleaning up the debris from.

“With past misdoings being corrected, new bridges built (and some old bridges rebuilt), and a few exclusive 2017 live performances under our belts, we feel as though the band has taken massive strides forward in recovering from its damaged state after my seven year run with severe heroin addiction. Those dark days are now behind me, the band and all whose lives we effect in one way or another. Onward and upward is the attitude and goal here, as Nachtmystium’s ascension returns to its past form. Expect to hear a lot of new music and news from our camp in 2018.”

Shadow Woods Metal Fest Announces More Bands For 2016 Lineup

Shadow Woods Metal Fest, the Mid-Atlantic’s open air camping metal party, will once again terrorize the woodlands of central Maryland this fall with three days of more than thirty bands from diverse metal genres and regions.

The 2016 festival runs from Thursday, September 15th through Sunday, September 18th at Camp Hidden Valley in White Hall, Maryland.

“The response from performers and attendees to the 2015 event was overwhelmingly positive with many people telling me it was the best weekend of their lives!” says festival founder Mary Spiro of Metallomusikum.com/Shadow Woods Productions LLC. “We are humbled and frankly completely surprised by the outpouring of praise for the fest. There has been enormous interest from the metal community for certain bands to perform. Our team is taking its time to make sure the lineup matches our attendee’s expectations and sets us apart from other fests. We also want each day to have flow. It’s a balancing act.”

“It could be late Spring before we have the whole lineup in hand,” Spiro said. “It’s taking longer than we anticipated, but we think our patience will be rewarded, and festival goers will be really pleased with the bands yet to be announced.”

The currently announced lineup is as follows:

Spinebreaker Posts New Single “River Of Pain”

San Jose-based Spinebreaker has unloaded the maiden single from upcoming debut “Ice Grave” LP with the gory torrent “River Of Pain.”

Spinebreaker’s “Ice Grave” debut provides a soundtrack of raw, sonic death-metal annihilation in a world of human filth, greed, and corruption. Having slithered into the Bay Area hardcore and metal community over the past two years, the band’s explosive blend of European death metal is fueled through a tendency for intense-as-fuck live performances and love for an array of d-beat, punk, and hardcore.

Creator-Destructor will issue “Ice Grave” on 12″ vinyl and through all digital outlets on January 15, 2016. Pre-orders have gone live right here.

Metalocalypse Now Is… A Marketing Campaign To Hulu

For years, fans have been clamoring for an official end to the story of Dethklok, the wildly popular animated heavy metal band at the center of pop culture mainstay and television show Metalocalypse.

Metalocalypse mastermind Brendon Small is championing a campaign to bring fans the official end to Dethklok’s story. Presented by Rocksmith and dubbed Metalocalypse Now, the campaign is designed to combine the efforts of grassroots supporters, the heavy metal community, comedians, record labels, instrument brands and more, proving to Hulu/Adult Swim that there is a massive audience who will watch this ending if they produce it.

The Metalocalypse Now campaign is officially supported by Razer, Metal Blade Records, MetalSucks, and Metal Injection.

Fans deserve to see how the Metalocalypse prophecy ends after nearly 10 years of the story’s existence. Using social media, an online petition and more, Metalocalypse Now is the metal world’s chance to demand their show’s finale.
