German speed metallers Vulture sign to Metal Blade Records!

– February 7th, 2018 –

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the sealing of a pact with German speed metallers Vulture. The full metal quintet has signed a multiple album deal with the Blade and is right now in the songwriting process for their tentative new album to be released by the end of 2018.

Vulture comments: “We feel proud and honored to officially announce our contract conclusion with METAL BLADE RECORDS! Signing up with the legendary label that released many of those albums that sparked our passion for extreme metal in our youths feels like completing the circle. Now, more motivated and bloodthirsty than ever, we are already eagerly working on new tracks for our second full-length. Attention posers! Prepare to die!”

The high speed metal militia that is Vulture was formed in late summer 2015. It was only half a year later when their first demo entitled Victim To The Blade saw the light of the day.

Their first output contains four fast, eerie and face melting tracks that created a huge furor around the scene. The feedback was so tremendous that it not only resulted in multiple re-releases as an EP on vinyl and CD, but also for participations in renowned concerts and festivals around Europe such as Metal Assault, Hell Over Hammaburg or the infamous Live Evil festival in London.

Vulture released their debut LP The Guillotine in the summer of 2017 and straight on the boys continued their killing streak with eight massive songs that contained even more aggression and fury than their predecessors. Having added more melody and variation to their songwriting, Vulture clearly emphasizes that they are not in line for being yet another homage to the 80s metal scene.

Being joined by a fifth member and now permanent drummer just a few months ago, Vulture has lifted off higher than ever in order to deliver another full-length album soon. The studio has already been booked for this summer and we can definitely assure you: Vulture kills!

Vulture line-up:
L. Steeler – vocals
S. Genozider – guitar
M. Outlaw – guitar
A. Axetinctor – bass
G. Deceiver – drums

Monte Pittman comments: “I discovered the Bravo Tip Or Pay app from performing for the Ultimate Jam Night at the Whisky A Go Go. I think it’s something that could change every musicians’ life. I’ve been selling tickets to my shows and selling merchandise at shows using their app. They’ve been coming with me on some shows and brought along Travis Colbert to film content. While in New York, I was sitting around playing my acoustic where we were staying and Travis started filming me. He said, ‘We could make a video’. Once I saw what he filmed, we immediately started filming the ‘New Blood Keeps Us Alive’ video since that’s the only track that has acoustic guitar on it. We have been filming for more videos coming out soon also.”

Oct. 21 – Los Angeles, CA – Hi Hat (Metal Assault showcase)

Total Negation Releasing New Album “Zeitzeuge”

One-man blackened doom metal assault, Total Negation, will unleash third full-length, “Zeitzeuge,” on June 16th via Sweden-based Temple Of Torturous Records.

The follow-up to the 2013-issued” Zur Späten Stunde” maintains the cold, eerie elements of its predecessor. The integration of instruments like the melodica and the vibraphone still intact, on “Zeitzeuge” master craftsman Wiedergaenger allows for more breathing room and breadth in his compositions. Still cold, depressive and atmospherically corrosive, Wiedergaenger manages to merge primal black metal, doom, and Krautrock elements into a sound that’s at once lush, confounding, and apocalyptic. The new album’s track listing is:

1. Betrachter
2. Fluechtling
3. Augenzeuge
4. Kronzeuge
5. Heimkehrer
6. Zeitzeuge

Noisem Releases “Severed” Live Video

Baltimore’s thrash assassins Noisem just released a high-action video for “Severed,” the track hailing from the band’s debut LP, “Agony Defined,” released in June via A389 Recordings.

The clip was captured by multiple cameras during the band’s searing set at this year’s Maryland Deathfest, produced by Pendragwn Productions, edited by Madison Hartke-Weber, and showcases the undeniably lethal capabilities of this young crew of thrashaholics.

“Severed” can be viewed below, courtesy of Toxicbreed’s Funhouse, who in their review of “Agony Defined” declared the album “filled to the brim with mind shredding guitar solos and excellent thrash sections that channel the golden era material of thrash legends like Anthrax, Slayer and Testament combined with the straight forward death metal assault that recalls Cannibal Corpse’s blunt death metal attack on steroids.”

You can also catch the band live:
