Gozu will be touring in support of Equilibrium, which was released earlier this year via Blacklight Media Records. With roots in 70s fuzzy stoner rock, the grit of 90s grunge and the winning dirty rock n’ roll that has in recent years made a resurgence, Gozu has been churning out killer records since 2009. With 2016′s Revival they took their sound in a somewhat new and more aggressive direction, and in doing so, dropped the most compulsive, exciting and downright badass album of their career – and Equilibrium has only raised the stakes. “We wanted these songs to hit a nerve, make people shake their ass and enjoy simply being alive,” says vocalist/guitarist Marc “Gaff” Gaffney, who founded the band with lead guitarist Doug Sherman. Much of the record’s strength stems from the unit growing since Revival, the first full-length featuring drummer Mike Hubbard and bassist Joseph Grotto. Having also reunited with Revival producer Dean Baltulonis (Hatebreed/Goes Cube/The Hold Steady) at Wild Arctic Studio in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the record is certainly the catchiest and most instant music dropped by the quartet, embracing their love of pop music but without compromising on any of the other vital elements of their sound.

Reaping Asmodeia Teases New Album With Rough Cut Of “The Clemency Guise”

Back with a vengeance, Minneapolis-based technical death metal surveyors Reaping Asmodeia just took a short break tracking a forthcoming release to hop onboard the first leg of 2016’s Metal Alliance Tour featuring Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain, Jungle Rot and Black Crown Initiate.

Reaping Asmodeia’s forthcoming effort will be titled “Impuritize” and is expected to be released later this summer via Prosthetic Records.

Vocalist Steven Lane announced a surprise for pining fans, “Since we are starting the Metal Alliance Tour this Friday, we wanted to give you guys something off our new album early ‘The Clemency Guise,’ in its most basic form.”

Marking the first new material from the band’s current recording session, a rough, unedited version of “The Clemency Guise” can be heard below.

Lane gave insight into the track’s significance, stating “’The Clemency Guise’ is about a transformation by tragedy that brings a realization that our quest for happiness is misguided by comfort and security. With a new understanding, we can bring others to enlightenment through torture using torment as a gateway.”

Jungle Rot Posts “Doomsday” Music Video

Jungle Rot today brings you a new video for “Doomsday,” available below. “To me, the video is essentially about paranoia,” states Jungle Rot bassist James Genenz.

He goes on to say, “The protagonist is more than likely a paranoid conspiracy theorist, who probably isn’t all that wrong with his theories, but is driven mad because of them. The live shots of us playing under targets are like his delusions, envisioning an attack on a small populace of citizens and we are his weapon. Eventually, he cannot handle the prophetic visions and blinds himself to it.”

With the recent announcement of the Metal Alliance Tour, you can catch Jungle Rot in a city near you. Full dates are available here.

“We’re definitely looking forward to getting back on the road!” continues Genenz. “It’s been a few months since we’ve been out and we are excited to perform for our fans again alongside our tour mates. We have a long history with Dying Fetus going as far back as the demo days, and our former drummer Jesse plays for Black Crown Initiate, so this will be one big, fun road reunion!”

“To those attending or planning to attend the remaining dates of The Deicide Headliner/Metal Alliance tour we are sad to say we will not be able to finish the rest of the tour. Unfortunately there have been multiple passings in a few members family’s and in this time of need, they are choosing to be with their families and we hope you can support our decision as we feel family is always first. We will be sure to be back in the areas we cancelled this year and our apologies are the most sincere. We highly advise you check out the rest of the tour and thank them for having us out! We apologize again and thank you for sticking with us.”

Deicide: “This Will Be Our Last U.S. Tour For A Long Long Time”

After Entombed A.D. was booted from the trek and the “Metal Alliance” name was taken off the tour posters, Deicide has finally posted this series of messages via Facebook about what happened with this ill-fated tour:

“These are the final dates to this tour, we could have just said fuck this whole mess, and been done with it! We don’t do business like that and believe there is honor in finishing it not for ourselves but for the fans who deserve to see the band and who expect us to show up! This will be our last U.S. TOUR FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME, come on out and support these great bands

“What happen with this tour is this…the agents put together a package that the local promoters had no faith in and couldn’t afford and we’re all asking to cancel their dates, so to keep it going and finish it out entombed were told to go home not by us. But by the agents that set up this tour so the local promoters could still do the shows, we are all in this mess together and I can assure you we will never get involved in anything like this ever again.

“We had nothing to do with entombed being kicked off tour blame metal alliance, there fucking mess!
