New Lyric Video “Wring Me Out” Available From Doll Skin

U.S. rockers Doll Skin kick 2016 off by premiering the lyric video for the new single, “Wring Me Out.” This lyric video perfectly captures the energy that the band is quickly becoming well-known for. The video can be viewed below.

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson created an imprint called EMP Label Group through the legendary label Megaforce. The first release was “In Your Face,” the debut six-song EP from the Arizona-based rock quartet Doll Skin. “In Your Face” was released in North America on October 30th, and in Europe on December 18th, physical and digital via EMP Label Group/Cargo Records.

The action continues later this week, as Doll Skin will take the stage in support of the supergroup Metal Allegiance for a few West Coast dates. Dates and venues can be found at this location.

Doll Skin vocalist Sydney Dolezal says: “Metal Allegiance is a bunch of amazing musicians in a band together, and you know how that ends.. with amazing music and a kickass show! I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be on the road with these guys!”. Guitarist Alex Snowden adds: “I’m so psyched to have this opportunity to share the stage with such talent. Metal Allegiance really knows how to throw down and we can’t wait to be a part of that”.

Metal Allegiance Inks Deal With Nuclear Blast

After successful appearances at sea on Shiprocked and the Motorboat cruise, as well as an unforgettable show before NAMM in Anaheim this past January, the Metal Allegiance collective has signed their first-ever record deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

The worldwide deal stems from the various musicians uniting to write and record original material this past Winter. Brought together by Metal Allegiance principal partner Mark Menghi, the original material came together from the creative minds of David Ellefson of Megadeth, Mike Portnoy of The Winery Dogs, and Alex Skolnick from Testament alongside Menghi.

The four writers then reached out through their metal rolodexes to a diverse lineup of performers, each adding their own personal musical stamp to the collection of nine original songs. More information on the performers and individual track lineups will be released in the near future. The debut album from Metal Allegiance is slated for release this Fall.

Nuclear Blast Entertainment President Monte Conner offered up his label as the home for Metal Allegiance after several meetings. Upon hearing the demos and seeing the list of performers, he felt it was something he wanted to be a part of. Conner comments:

“I am incredibly fortunate to be able to work with legendary musicians and personal heroes like David Ellefson, Alex Skolnick and Mike Portnoy, as well as Metal Allegiance founder Mark Menghi. These guys wrote an amazing and diverse record that is 100% pure metal, and lined up some killer guest vocalists and lead guitarists to bring it home in an epic, shredding fashion – just the leads on this record alone will blow people away! Perhaps the coolest part of all is that unlike similar projects in the past that existed as studio-only creations, Metal Allegiance were a touring entity first and have now organically evolved into a studio band that makes albums. I am very grateful to these guys for choosing me and the Nuclear Blast team as the vehicle to bring their music to the metal masses.”

Stemming from an initial idea in 2011, Metal Allegiance was born as a way to unite a collection of hard rock and heavy metal’s most notable musicians in a setting born under one ideal: a love of music and performing. Previous participants at live events have included: Philip Anselmo/Rex Brown, Joey Belladonna/Frank Bello/Charlie Benante/Scott Ian, David Ellefson, Gary Holt/Kerry King/Dave Lombardo, Chuck Billy/Alex Skolnick, Troy Sanders, Mike Portnoy, and Andreas Kisser.

Megadeth Drops Off Motorboat Cruise Due To Medical Issues

Motörhead’s Motörboat regrets to announce that Megadeth has been forced to withdraw from the September 22nd – 26th cruise due to medical reasons. Heavy metal all-star band Metal Allegiance – including Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Chris Broderick – has now been added to the Motörhead’s Motörboat music lineup.

Metal Allegiance promises Motörboaters the rare opportunity to see a diverse group of metal legends interacting and performing together on the same stage. Singers Philip Anselmo (Down, ex-Pantera), Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), and Chuck Billy (Testament), guitarists Chris Broderick (Megadeth), Jon Donais (Anthrax, Shadows Fall), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Mark Zavon (Kill Devil Hill), bassists Frank Bello (Anthrax), Rex Brown (Kill Devil Hill, ex-Pantera) and David Ellefson (Megadeth), and drummers Charlie Benante (Anthrax) and Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, ex-Dream Theater) will put their spin on a scorching set of heavy metal’s most influential and recognizable songs.

Megadeth issued the following statement about the unfortunate cancellation: “Due to complications arising from a previous cervical spine surgery, and upon his doctor’s strict recommendations, Dave Mustaine has cancelled all performances for the next 8 weeks. With rest and treatment, he is expected to recover and resume performing soon. The band was looking forward to the concerts and cruise, and is disappointed that they will not be able to see their fans. Megadeth expects to return to the road and will see their fans soon!”

“You can’t replace a band like Megadeth, who have done so much to change the landscape of heavy music over the past 30 years. We wish Dave Mustaine all the best in his recovery,” says event producer Alan Koenig of ASK4 Entertainment. “But we’re excited that Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Chris Broderick will still be joining us. The whole reason to do these music cruises is to give fans an experience that they can’t get anywhere else – and bringing Metal Allegiance onboard with metal’s most loyal fans fits that bill.”

Megadeth’s David Ellefson comments, “I’m really looking forward to being together with our friends and fans on Motörboat. Metal Allegiance is a great way to continue our brotherhood of all things metal.”

“I always love getting together with my brothers and throwing down. The Allegiance jam is sure to be the best jam I’ve been involved with yet,” says Philip Anselmo.

Rex Brown of Kill Devil Hill says, “We have jammed at some big metal events in the past, but Metal Allegiance is gonna blow EVERYONE on the Motörboat cruise right out of the water!!! Let her rip!”

Mike Portnoy agrees: “I’ve been honored to have been part of some previous metal jams over the years and there’s something very special and (Goddamn) electric that happens when you put this group of guys together in a room or on a stage. Myself and my brothers in metal on the Motörboat are metal lovers through and through and we love to get together to jam, have fun and pay tribute to the music that we all love so much.”

The first annual Motörhead’s Motörboat will sail from Miami, visiting the ports of Key West , Florida and Cozumel just off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula for the September 22nd – 26th, 2014 cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy.
