Preview Of Decapitated’s Cover Of Meshuggah’s “Sane” Streaming

A preview of Decapitated‘s take on Meshuggah‘s “Sane” with guest solos from Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy, ex-Nevermore) and Jakub Zytecki (Disperse) is streaming below. The track will be featured on the forthcoming “Death…Is Just The Beginning MMXVIII” compilation, out October 19th via Nuclear Blast.

Comments Decapitated guitarist Waclaw “Vogg” Kiletyka:

“For me, it is a huge pleasure because covering Meshuggah is something special. They are one of my favorite metal bands ever. Plus I find it a big challenge. We had very special guests, Jeff Loomis and Jakub Zytecki, and both did epic solos for it. Also to be on the same compilation with some of the best metal acts in the scene, is nothing but a big pleasure. Doing this for Nuclear Blast Records which is not just a label for us but after years, a friend’s label, is an honor.”

Shining (NOR) Premiere Title Track Of Upcoming New Album “Animal”

Shining (NOR) will release their new album “Animal“ on October 19th. The band will have that effort out via Spinefarm Records and are now streaming the title track below.

According to the group’s Jørgen Munkeby, the album finds them moving on from their ‘blackjazz’ phase, including abandoning the trademark saxophone. He says of that:

“I was tired of doing the same thing. I was done with ‘blackjazz’ and wanted to create something new and exciting. I needed a change. I’m finally at the point where I have nothing to lose and everything to win. We had 360 degrees to play with so we could’ve gone in any direction. This new record is more Muse than Meshuggah, more Ghost than Gojira, and more Biffy Clyro than Burzum!”

Bad Wolves Posts “Learn To Live” Music Video

Unpredictability drives progression: when art can’t be pigeonholed or pinned down, it elevates the very medium itself. Bad Wolves thrives on that sort of unpredictability, standing confidently at a crossroads between anthemic hard rock infectiousness and thought-provoking and technically-charged heavy metal.

Think of a cross between the musical malevolence of Meshuggah and Sevendust’s timeless irresistibility, and you’re halfway there. The vision of ex-DevilDriver co-founder and previous driving force John Boecklin [drums, guitars] and vocalist Tommy Vext [Snot, Westfield Massacre] as well as Doc Coyle [guitar], Chris Cain [guitar], and Kyle Konkiel, the group’s full-length debut represents metallic evolution. Check out a new video for “Learn To Live” below.
