Shadow Of Doubt Posts “No Mercy” Title Track

“No Mercy,” the debut EP by Texas hardcore outfit Shadow Of Doubt – founded by former core members of Bitter End, Hardside, and more – is approaching early June release through War Records, and today the title track has been issued.

The four-song EP was recorded in November 2016 by Phillip Odom (Ivy League) at Bad Wolf Studios, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, Power Trip, Nails). Offers Shadow Of Doubt guitarist Patrick Flanigan on the new track:

“I came up with the intro to ‘No Mercy’ first. There is a cool key change in the riff which I love doing, especially with heavy music. ‘No Mercy’ never really lets up. It stays hard hitting the whole time which I think makes it the strongest song on the EP. The song is very thrash influenced but with a lot of New York hardcore style to it, which really showcases our musical direction.

“The lyrics are about how we seem to be going backwards instead of progressing, and all of the consequences that come with that. I wrote the song right after the election so I was pretty pissed at the time. The theme of this EP and the title track is that you will get no mercy from this unrelenting world.”

No Mercy Re-Issuing “Widespread Bloodshed (Love Runs Red)”

Suicidal Records is proud to announce plans for re-releasing the entire collective works by crossover outfit No Mercy this October.

Founded by Mike Clark in the mid-’80s, before he became a part of the dominating Suicidal Tendencies, No Mercy only released one album amidst touring regionally on the West Coast in the band’s short-lived history.

With Clark handling all guitar duties, joined by bassist (and O.G. Suicidal artist) Ric Clayton, drummer Sal Troy, and Suicidal’s Mike Muir on vocals, “Widespread Bloodshed (Love Runs Red)” was engineered by Palm Neal and produced by Mike Muir, and after being originally released on LP and cassette by Suicidal Tendencies’ own Suicidal Records in 1987, now, over two-and-a-half decades since it’s been available, the label will re-issue these timeless anthems in upgraded quality.

Re-mastered by “Big Bass” Brian Gardner at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, “Widespread Bloodshed (Love Runs Red)” will be released in the U.S. on October 28th (also Mike Clark’s birthday) on CD, download, as well as traditional black vinyl and picture disc LP versions. The record will see release in Europe the day before on CD and digital only.

Stand by for pre-order links and more on the reissue of “Widespread Bloodshed (Love Runs Red)” in the coming days. The track listing is as follows:

1. We’re Evil
2. Crazy But Proud
3. Master Of No Mercy
4. Day Of The Damned
5. Controlled By Hatred
6. I’m Your Nightmare
7. Widespread Bloodshed-Love Runs Red
