Doro Posts New Video, “If I Can’t Have You – Nobody Will” Online With Amon Amarth Singer Johan Hegg

In only three weeks time the undisputed metal queen Doro will release her 2 CD studio album, “Forever Warriors, Forever United.” Her new offering boasts 25 brand new tracks and today, she releases the masterpiece “If I Can’t Have You – Nobody Will.”

The latest Doro single is a duet that combines passion and melody with brutal harshness. Passion is provided by the blonde rock goddess herself – while the harshness comes from none other than Amon Amarth singer Johan Hegg. Doro says: “The work with Johan, who also contributed to the lyrics, was stunning. We got to know each other during the recording of the Amon Amarth album Jomsviking and it is wonderful that this great collaboration could be continued on my album.”

Doro continues: “The video for the song perfectly reflects this obsessive song. We filmed in various ruins with our great director David Havlena. It has become very special, almost like a little movie. I can not wait to introduce the song on August 3rd at Wacken Open Air where the song will celebrate its live premiere with special guest Johan Hegg!”

New Concert Film “Paris” Announced By Rammstein

Today, the official pre-sale for the concert film “Rammstein: Paris” begins ahead of the worldwide release on May 19. Get it at this location.

The film, which will be released in many configurations, sets new standards. In March 2012, during the Made in Germany tour, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund shot two acclaimed Rammstein concerts at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 spectators.

Featuring 22 songs from the band’s entire repertoire, the resulting film is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery about the most successful German rock band of our time, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing Rammstein’s energy as a unique visual and sonic experience.

Åkerlund is notorious for his radical, pioneering video clips for bands such as The Prodigy, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, and also Rammstein. Absurd details, upended perspectives, shocks of contrast, and sensory confusion flicker through his music productions, and in “Rammstein: Paris,” he celebrates this from the very first minute.

Rammstein plays 22 songs (128 minutes), ranging from “Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?,” the first song from the very first album, to “Frühling in Paris” from the last studio album “Liebe ist für alle da.”

Artistically and dramaturgically ingeniously staged, like an overwhelming video clip, “Rammstein: Paris” is one of the best rock concert films of all time. “Absolument.”

The Project Hate Finishing New Album “Of Chaos And Carnal Pleasures”

Updates have been coming fast and furious this week from The Project Hate MCMXCIX about a new album, with work on that impending release now wrapping up. Today the band comments:

“And the album is 99% completed, ladies and gents of Hate! The lovable bastard known as Mr. D over at Unisound Studios handed over the sixth and final track, ‘Treacherous,’ a while ago – and again I’m beyond grateful for the incredible work he’s done for me. I can seriously never fucken ever thank him enough, but thank you, Dan Swanö. It’s been a majestic ride to make this piece come to life, to put it mildly.

“‘Of Chaos And Carnal Pleasures’ has exceeded all of my expectations, and I have known for quite some time that it would be absolutely spectacular to begin with. The work that everyone involved provided for me is the best shit I’ve ever heard. I speak greatly of ‘OCACP,’ and I do so for the simple reason it truly is something special that has been created.

“2 years, more or less on a daily basis ranging from 5 minutes to 12 hours a day, is what I have been spending on perfecting my vision for this pending beast. That’s a long fucking time and with the result at hand – I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

“A certain amount of borderline insanity goes into creating the TPH entity of today, that’s for sure. All the time I put into my music takes away from something else of course… Add to that a regular day job and I can never fully thank my beloved wife Kathrin for the support I get from her when I do this, coz she’s the one who barely get to see me when I’m locked inside The Dungeon working on my music.

“And of course, YOU guys who donated to make this masterpiece happen deserve the biggest ‘thank you.’ You made it possible for me to pay the regular people involved and get this thing mixed and mastered as I wanted it to be. ‘Of Chaos And Carnal Pleasures’ wouldn’t be here without you.

“As always though, one of you guys will be the one to leak it for people to illegally download, that’s the sad part. The 3 digital versions you get of this album for 150 SEK shouldn’t really be a problem to pay, methinks… But obviously it is. IF you wanna support my work the right way, ordering instructions is to be found at this location.

“I just hope that people will actually buy the couple of hundred digipaks that will be printed in a bunch of months, coz the sales of those will be MY bonus for these 2 years spent on this album. Anyways, I said ‘OCACP’ is 99% completed. This is becoz now I will rest my ears over the holidays and next week the final listening sessions will take place, the absolute last thing (along with some extra work that comes with this recording that you don’t give a fuck about) I’ll do before we finalize it completely and after that… it will end up in your email inbox when you least expect it.

“That day will be glorious for you. Until then, I have nothing more to say because ‘Of Chaos And Carnal Pleasures’ will explain everything better than I ever could. Thank you all so fucken much and Happy New Hate Year.”

Arcana 13 Inks Deal With Aural Music

Aural Music issued this announcement today about inking a record deal with Italian outfit Arcana 13:

“This day, 35 years ago, the cult director Lucio Fulci ended the shooting of his masterpiece: ‘…E tu vivrai nel terrore! L’Aldilà’ also known as ‘The Beyond.’ On this symbolic day we present you: Arcana 13.

“Arcana 13 hails from Italy, the birthplace of cult horror movie masters and conveys a lethal mixture between the visual terror of Italian horror legacy with the heavy and magical atmospheres of 70s heavy occult rock music.

“Eight legendary movies were meticulously chosen for their specific atmospheres and, around each of them, eight songs took shape. Arcana 13 adopted a unique composition process where music and movie edits were conceived together along with the visuals postproduction, with the intention of creating an exclusive horror live show that will be brought on stage in the upcoming shows.

“This culminated in the debut album ‘Danza Macabra’ that will see light in the darkness on Aural Music in March 2016.

“Many interesting details of ‘Danza Macabra’ will be disclosed in the upcoming months, but we’re thrilled to anticipate that the cover art was put to canvas by an Italian horror icon: the legendary artist Enzo Sciotti. Enzo already worked with Lucio Fulci himself, Dario Argento, Sam Raimi, Lamberto Bava and many others and he’s worked his magic once again in the name of Italian horror.”

Lyric Video For “The Fall” Posted By Soto, Debut Album Detailed

Jeff Scott Soto – one of today’s premier Rock frontmen and vocalists – and a union of hotshot young musicians bring you a blend of melody and muscle in some of the freshest power metal to surface in years. Together they are Soto, and the debut album “Inside The Vertigo” will be released on January 30th via earMusic.

Described as a “neurotic blend of power metal, prog, groove-laden huge guitars, hooks and production,” Soto plans to be a contender in today’s modern Rock arena while capturing the essence of strong songwriting simultaneously.

Jeff explains, ‘I’ve been in the game for a long time but my roots started more on the heavier side of the tracks, I thought it was about time I came home to visit the family and stick around for a while!.”

The band is comprised of Jeff’s most current solo band, who he insisted on making this musical merge with him. Jorge Salan (lead guitar), BJ (keys, guitars), David Z (bass) and Edu Cominato (drums). Soto adds, ‘These guys come from different parts of the world and bring their own influence to make this band very special. From the US to Europe to South America, we have an exciting mix of style and prestige that keeps us all on our toes.”

Jeff adds, ‘The past 5 or more years have propelled me a plethora of anger and frustration, I’m actually quite pissed off about a lot of things, Soto is my outlet to release some of this pent up emotion. We realize there are a lot of folks young and old who may be sharing these thoughts so this is especially for them too. We’re not reinventing the wheel here, we’re just creating an outlet for where our hearts are both musically and mentally…I’m just not in a ‘touch your golden hair’ mood right now!”

Songs like “Break”, “The Fall”, “Wrath”, “Narcissistically Yours” and “Final Say” are perfect vehicles of raw emotion. Songs like “When I’m Older”, “Karma’s Kiss”, to the title track “Inside The Vertigo” and the 9+ minute epic “End Of Days” advocate a modern day reality/wake-up call.

Produced by Jeff Scott Soto, the album features tracks co-written with his bandmates as well as a of his famous friends/colleagues. Collaborators include guitarists Gus G (Firewind, Ozzy), Jason Bieler (Saigon Kick), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob) and Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger/TSO), all of whom perform on their penned tracks for the album. Others appearing as guests/co-writers are Casey Grillo (Kamelot), Connor Engstrom, Tony Dickinson, Leo Mancini, Hugo Mariutti and Gary Schutt.

The album was recorded during the latter months of 2013 and mixed/mastered in Boston by Soto’s long time engineer and friend John Ellis. ‘Everyone from John to my amazing co-writers to some of my bandmates, especially Edu who was extremely instrumental on helping me stay on course musically, get overall credit for creating this album. I oversaw it as a whole knowing the vision I wanted to capture but I truly had a lot of help from my bros that appear on this masterpiece!’ exclaims Soto.

The release of the album intentionally coincides with the birth date of JSS’s fallen colleague and dear friend Marcel Jacob of Talisman.

Watch out for Soto to follow up the release of “Inside The Vertigo” with extensive touring and appearances throughout 2015.

The track listing for “Inside The Vertigo” is:

1. Final Say
2. The Fall
3. Wrath
4. Break
5. Narcissistically Yours
6. End of Days
7. Inside The Vertigo
8. When I’m Older
9. Trance
10. Jealousy
11. Karma’s Kiss
12. Fall To Pieces
