New Album “The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces” Streaming In Full From Necromante

Today, Brazilian black metal cult Necromante streams the entirety of the highly anticipated debut album “The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces” over at Necromance at this location, or just simply check it out in the player at the bottom. The band drops the album internationally today (October 6th) via Iron Bonehead Productions.

Formed in 2007, Necromante has patiently stirred its cauldron of sound over the course of a couple demos, a mini-album, and a live album. Hailing from Brazil, within that cauldron, of course, can be found ancient ingredients like Sarcofago, Vulcano, Sextrash, Mystifier, and Impurity, but the power-trio finesse forth a sound that’s less focused on tempting the corners of chaos as it is conjuring an arcane, otherworldly aura – in that sense, not dissimilar to Impurity’s classic “Into the Ritual Chamber.” However, on evidence of :The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces,” Necromante is truly a unique entity unto itself, and masterfully so.

Ufomammut Announces 15th Anniversary Live DVD

The Italian sorcerers of supernatural and obliterating doom from Ufomammut have been very busy behind the scenes following the release of their “Oro” collection on Neurot Recordings.

Since 2013, Ufomammut has been working on a video project which will be released on DVD via the band’s Supernatural Cat Records this October. The DVD features over three hours of live footage — including Magickal Mastery Live, a 12 song live act — interviews, outtakes, and extras all documenting first fifteen years of the band. Titled “XV,” this audiovisual experience will also be available as a special wooden 8GB USB drive.

On the subject of reaching this milestone, the band commented: “Oro was a particularly ambitious album for us, and the Magickal Mastery Tour was a great chance to revisit all of our favorite songs in front of really great crowds. When we took some time to reflect on what we had accomplished we knew that the best ways to celebrate our first fifteen years, was a DVD release, something for our fans to contribute towards and to treasure. We’re excited about what the next fifteen years has in store…”

The “Magickal Mastery Live” running order is:

Eve (Pt. III & IV)

In addition to this DVD release, Ufomammut has confirmed the band will be heading into the studio to record a seventh studio collection this September. The new album should see the light of day in Spring 2015 via Neurot Recordings.

Ceremonial Announces “Ars Magicka” 7″ Release

March 31st has been set as the international release date for Ceremonial’s “Ars Magicka” 7″ EP via Blood Harvest. The cover artwork and track listing are available below, and the following press release was issued about the band:

“Chile’s Ceremonial was spawned in early 2010 from the ashes of previous native black metal projects and their undying need for creating metal. The band was formed and named by Imprecator (guitar/bass) and Lucifago (vocals/guitar). Not long after, Bliol (ex-Gorhoth) joined on drums and completed Ceremonial’s first unlight trinity.

“Soon afterwards, Yelworc(k) (Ereshkigal, Hell’s Veins) joined the circle on bass guitar and fully completed the band. Ceremonial’s main aim is to crush and mock the origins of ignorance, create original occult lyrics, and the magickal execution of hermetic black/thrash metal. They do so, with iron-fisted force, on a brand-new, hellthrashing 7″ entitled Ars Magicka. Across their two preceding demos, Ceremonial may have shown lethal potential, but here on Ars Magicka, they explode with diabolic force: four songs of cruel, chaotic mastery.”
