Sisters Of Suffocation Posts New Music Video “The Machine” Online

Sisters Of Suffocation will release their new bone crushing album, Humans Are Broken, on March 1st via Napalm Records. Pre-order the album here, and watch a video for the track “The Machine” below.

The Eindhoven-based death metal squad are here to bring us the best of both worlds: the raw and primal force of old school death metal clashes with the sophisticated technicality and epic-melodic infusions of modern times. Now the already infamous quintet announces its second studio album. Humans Are Broken.

The underground pricked up its ears when the (back then) all-female newcomers unleashed debut EP Brutal Queen (2016) and full-length Anthology Of Curiosities (2017), but now the four sisters and one brother are aiming for bloodshed on a much bigger scale.

Tracklisting:

1. Humans Are Broken
2. Wolves
3. War In My Head
4. The Machine
5. What We Create
6. Liar
7. Little Shits
8. The Next Big Thing
9. Blood On Blood
10. The Objective
11. Burn
12. Every Little Fibre (Bonus Track)
13. For I Have Sinned (Bonus Track)

Couple Ejected From Venue For Having Sex During Machine Head Show

During Machine Head’s November 21st performance in San Diego, CA two attendees were ejected from the venue for having sex in the front row.

Read the band’s reaction below:

“San Diego! HOLY… FREAKIN… SH*T!!!?? When a guy and gal get ejected for having sex during “Davidian” (in the front row no less!?) you know it’s gonna complete insanity! *no joke!*… WOW, what a welcome back you gave us, we are blown away!

Epic circle pits, the jumping was crazy, boobies, sing-a-longs, crowd-surfing-mania, couples having sex!!

San Diego, after an 11 year break from each other, you are officially “un-fired”! Hands down the best show we have EVER played in your amazing city, and one of the wildest and rowdiest of the entire tour! Thank you all so much for an UNFORGETTABLE night of raging!!”

Machine Head‘s current tour will be their last with long-time members Phil Demmel and Dave McClain, who have both decided to step down from the band following the completion of the run.

Today and tomorrow will be the last chances to catch Machine Head with that lineup:

11/23 Anaheim, CA – House of Blues
11/24 Santa Cruz, CA – The Catalyst

Machine Head To Split Up, Announces Farewell Tour

In a ten minute long video posted on Facebook, Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn has announced that the band will split up following a farewell tour. In the video, Flynn stated:

“I’ll get right to it. On Monday night, Phil Demmel quit Machine Head and yesterday afternoon, Dave McClain quit Machine Head and Jared kinda quit but didn’t know if he was quitting for sure. The tour is still going to go on. We have all agreed to make this a celebration of our music and this era of the band.

“We have grown apart as people. Musically we’ve grown apart. I have held on too tight to the reigns of this band and I have suffocated those guys. I have some rough edges, which have given us success as a band but they’ve also hurt the people around me. I have a lot of drive but I have a lot of anger and rage, which has alienated folks in the band.

“I ask that you respect Phil and Dave’s decision, as I respect their decision and I want to say that I’m honoured and grateful for everything they have contributed to Machine Head, which is a lot. Fifteen years with Phil, twenty three years with Dave, innumerable riffs…”

“I don’t know what the future holds. We’re all a little scared. I’m scared and they’re the scared, but if you’re looking for a drummer or guitar player then you can find no better people to have. I wish them well and want success for them.

“I’m gonna do a little bit of soul searching in my life and take a long, hard look at myself and my life. Twenty years of therapy by this point, which apparently wasn’t enough, maybe twenty more! This upcoming tour is going to be a celebration of this music, this lineup, maybe the best lineup this band has ever had. We’re going to end on a positive note, a classy note, so come out and have a drink with us. Maybe not too classy, like white trash classy, hammered and stoned at a metal show kind of classy.

“It’s the end of an era. I did a lot of crying yesterday. I spoke to Jared this morning who said he’s gonna stick around and he’s gonna continue on, which made me happy. It’s going to be like the Ozzy song, ‘Goodbye To Romance.’ You guys have a good Friday, thanks for listening.”
