The Grotesquery Sign With Xtreem Music

The Grotesquery, the band headed by swedish mastermind Rogga Johansson and vocalist Kam Lee, have just signed a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of their 4th album “The Lupine Anathema”. Formed back in 2009, The Grotesquery have been spreading their awesome Death Metal with their first three albums, all released through Cyclone Empire, and gaining a loyal fanbase around the world.

After completing a trilogy, the band is now starting a side chapter with “The Lupine Anathema”, still in the clutches of the Lovecraftian horrors of old. Expect nothing else than a continuation of the sound they have forged so far; heaviness, melodies, groove and the legendary and classic vocals of Kam Lee.

Soon we’ll be able to reveal cover artwork, tracklist and 1st advance single for “The Lupine Anathema”, as well as a release date that will happen around spring 2018.

Australian one-man band NEKRASOV continues to orbit between the two poles of power electronics and black metal…

NEKRASOV is reminiscent of some unhallowed Lovecraftian vault, where the dreamer meets his dream: the abyss of mind and space alike, where he compositionally depicts the hinges in the deep recesses of the mind, that only a visionary can uncover. Once revealed, it?s up to the listener on whether he or she can handle the outcome. […]

Straight from the deepest, darkest recesses of the mind is born a partnership of musical aberration crawling from the murk as Fumigation and The Path To R’lyeh come together. This brutal two-some joined forces for a CDN Records split CD, aptly-titled “Invasion.”

Zeal And Ardor Releases “Don’t You Dare” Live Video

Zeal & Ardor, the brainchild of Manuel Gagneux that mixes black metal and blues with lyrics delivered in the fashion of chain gang slave spirituals, just premiered brand new song “Don’t You Dare.”

This marks the first time the song has ever been heard and it was performed live at Couleur 3 studio in Lausanne, Switzerland on January 18th, 2017. Check out the video below.

The song does not appear on “Devil Is Fine,” Zeal & Ardor’s debut album, which is due out globally on February 24, 2017 and reviewed here.

Gagneux told Noisey, “The idea of something so horrible that merely looking at it will end you is fascinating to me. ‘Don’t You Dare’ thematically plays with biblical demons as well as Lovecraftian elements that lend themselves well to this idea. Since I wrote it after getting the band together, it’s not on the album, but will be performed on the upcoming tour. I hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoy playing it.”

Tracked at Flatline audio by engineer Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage, Allegaeon), “II” is an amalgamation of complex riff writing, calculated chaos, and Lovecraftian worship. This is Vale Of Pnath fully leveled up, and pushing itself to new boundaries of tech death precision.

Guitarist Vance Valenzuela comments: “We’re extremely excited to release our 2nd album ‘II.’ Its been 4 years since the release of ‘The Prodigal Empire,’ and we have progressed exponentially with this bands sound. We believe it is only the beginning to something great. This is our most dynamic, technical and mature material to date, that’s certain to turn heads.”

Sulphur Aeon Opening The “Gateway To The Antisphere”

The winds of Spring bring the stench of sulphur, as German death metal tyrants Sulphur Aeon prepare for the devastating unfurling of leviathan sophomore LP, “Gateway To The Antisphere,” through a cooperative release between Imperium Productions and Ván Records on April 3rd.

The album was produced by Simon Werner who was already responsible for the sound of the previous recordings of the band, and the result is a catastrophic and instantly memorable work of extreme metal art. Fifty-two minutes of debilitating yet enthralling, black-tinged, Lovecraftian death suck the listener in like an inescapable vortex, as visually depicted in the cover artwork that was created by Ola Larsson.

The sixth of the eleven harrowing passages on “Gateway To The Antisphere” has been released through an artwork video. Witness the destruction of “Diluvial Ascension – Gateway To The Antisphere” below. The album’s track listing is:

1. …To Drown This World
2. Devotion To The Cosmic Chaos
3. Titans
4. Calls From Below
5. Abysshex
6. Diluvial Ascension – Gateway To The Antisphere
7. He Is The Gate
8. Seventy Steps
9. Onwards… Towards Kadath
10. Into The Courts Of Azathoth
11. Conclusion
