Ex-Malevolent Creation Frontman Bret Hoffmann Fighting Stage 4 Colon Cancer – GoFundMe Launched

Former Malevolent Creation vocalist Bret Hoffmann (now of Fire For Effect) is presently fighting stage 4 colon cancer and this GoFundMe has been launched to help out with his medical costs. Comments Hoffmann of his condition:

“Hello Everyone!! I am still in hospital attached to a double pick IV line they installed in me the other day otherwise they have to move the little IV lines every 4 days, and between all the bags of med going in and the bloodwork everyday my hands were bcoming green and blue bruise zonesThe blood thinners help with that.. I will fill in more of this messed up story when I get out.

I have been in Hospital for almost 2 weeks now, I’ve had a MAJOR surgery, many proceedures and tests. Have not eaten that entire time and have not even smelled the outside air in that time. I am however progressing forward. They do want me out so that I can go home and heal and rehab. That may take weeks, after that they have a treatment they are confident in for my cancer, I know I have a long road and life has changed.

I will still finish new album and do music, I just have a bit more important task at hand for the near future. This,so far, has been the most trying ,painful, torturous event that has EVER happened to me. I am on the battle wagon and I’m rolling!!! My wife Kim has been a rock for me!!! I love her with all my heart!!! My very close friends have all been battling with me and I’ve needed that support.

LISTEN if you have not been to a Doctor, especially in years. GET TO ONE ASAP!! Don’t think your too cool or shit won’t happen to you cuz I promise you will find your self in a world of hurt! My shit was huge and they still got it in time to help me.I see older people here dealing with this and they are fucked, mass pain meds and life is a bed for now on in their lives.

Get to a doctor PLEASE! I don’t want to see my Family, friends or fans go through anything like this EVER. I will be back, I will post here and there, I will def let you guys know when they spring me from this hospital,( My Doctors kick ass) Thank you all for the love and I love you all back!!!!!”

–transparent petrol blue vinyl + download card (limited to 200 copies – EU exclusive)
–olive/black marbled vinyl + download card (limited to 200 copies – EU exclusive)

With roots in 70s fuzzy stoner rock, the grit of 90s grunge and the winning dirty rock n’ roll that has in recent years made a resurgence, Gozu has been churning out killer records since 2009. With 2016′s Revival they took their sound in a somewhat new and more aggressive direction, and in doing so, dropped the most compulsive, exciting and downright badass release of their career – and Equilibrium has only raised the stakes. “We wanted these songs to hit a nerve, make people shake their ass and enjoy simply being alive,” says vocalist/guitarist Marc “Gaff” Gaffney, who founded the band with lead guitarist Doug Sherman. Much of the record’s strength stems from the unit growing since Revival, the first full-length featuring drummer Mike Hubbard and bassist Joseph Grotto. Having also reunited with Revival producer Dean Baltulonis (Hatebreed/Goes Cube/The Hold Steady) at Wild Arctic Studio in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the record is certainly the catchiest and most instant music dropped by the quartet, embracing their love of pop music but without compromising on any of the other vital elements of their sound.

Equilibrium track-listing:
1. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat
2. The People vs. Mr. T
3. King Cobra
4. Manimal
5. They Probably Know Karate

Watch Margot Robbie (“Suicide Squad”, Etc.) React To Bullet For My Valentine’s (And Corey Taylor’s) Surprise Dedication To Her

Margot Robbie (“Suicide Squad”, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, “I, Tonya”) is well known for her love of metal. She recently chatted about that on the BBC Radio 1‘s ‘Heart Rate Monitor’ segment. In addition to mentioning Metallica and attending a Slipknot concert as being big to her in her adolescent life, she also mentioned liking Thrice and Bullet For My Valentine.

Bullet For My Valentine then continued to surprise her with a special live dedication to Margot Robbie while performing a show in Saskatoon, SK. Slipknot/Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor also makes a surprise appearance at the end of the segment, with no big heart rate reaction though…

Attila & Emmure Frontmen Beefing Via Twitter Following Attila’s New Diss Song “Callout 2”

With Emmure being one of the bands targeted in Attila‘s new single track “Callout 2“ streaming below, the outfit’s vocalist Frankie Palmeri took to Twitter (February 15th) to fire back at Attila mainman Chris Fronzak, tweeting:

Thanks for the shout out bud – I could of helped you at least write a scathing subliminal or something! @FRONZ1LLA – You also might be the first person in history to ever use the word ‘EMMURE’ in a song ??.

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 15, 2018

Y r u so scared to @ me bro?! ?? The rest of my band ain’t who you’re salty about…c’mon sen..?? https://t.co/mlTbj7RvSh

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 15, 2018

Fronzak has since replied tweeting:

You’re absolutely right. I LOVE your band and every member past/present. You’re the arrogant fucktard (in real life). Why didn’t I @ you in the song? Dawg come’on…. no one knows who tf you are ???? https://t.co/mvwHqRbfiV

— SLiME DADDY (@FRONZ1LLA) February 16, 2018

Palmeri firing back at Fronzak:

?? Arrogant? Bruh..the pot calling the kettle black is too real right now. https://t.co/QNgyVRohE2

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 16, 2018

I really don’t have the energy to beef with @FRONZ1LLA – Unfortunately, I inadvertently gave birth to his entire persona and image, anyone with half a brain knows this. Its funny for him to say “no one knows you” but uses my band to chase some internet clout and feed his kids.??

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 17, 2018

I gotta admit Fronzy, you pull off the Frankie Palmeri look even better than I did. pic.twitter.com/J1HztLuFfz

Nightwish Announces Compilation Album, “Decades” And Tour Dates

Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish has announced details for a new two disc compilation album, which will be entitled, “Decades.” The record will be released on March 9th 2018 and will be promoted with a lengthy tour of North America and Europe, which includes a number of festival appearances, concluding with a headline set at the Bloodstock Open Air festival.

“July 6th, 1996 was the exact date marked on my family’s summer cabin guestbook. On that date, by a campfire, a decision was made to form a band of three members, playing atmospheric acoustic music led by a female voice. 15 months later, this group would release its debut album, and more than two decades later, it would release a compilation including songs from 8 studio albums and from the very first demo which gave the band its name.

Speaking about the release, keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen stated: “The infinite freedom and potential I found from songwriting back in the day took me right back home, offering a place to feel free and meaningful. So the roller coaster ride begun, adventures from all sides of the spectrum ahead, making a pit stop at this place and age from where we`re greeting you now. Looking back, the voyage has been nothing short of spectacular.

“The best part of it all, though, are the people. The fellowship of the band, past and present, the crew and the management. The relationships created, whether it’s the fans in the front row, guest musicians, other bands, promoters, media, record label staff, or even your own heroes you never thought you’d meet. I’ve met my best friends through music, as well as faced the most unfortunate ordeals, but it’s all been for the love of life and adventure, for learning, and for a meaning. The sense of privilege I feel looking into the past, the present, and future is immeasurable by words. It’s something that can only be expressed through poetry and music. A journey of two decades has taken our wonderful Edema Ruh this far, and the beauty of the future is, that it remains an untold story.

“In a few months, we’ll celebrate the journey so far in the form of a 9-month nostalgia tour, including material from all of our 8 studio albums. We shall meet you all soon, and it will be wondrous as never before!”

“Hi Everyone,

It’s with great, great sadness that I must tell you I have to cancel the Day Of Errors tour dates scheduled in December. I wound up in hospital this past weekend with heart problems. I want to send my sincere apologies to everyone who was planning to come out to the shows. I’m so sorry we won’t be making it – I was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing this music with you. I’ll be in touch soon.

All my love,
Bill”

All Bill Ward/Day of Errors tour dates have been canceled and will not be rescheduled. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased through an online ticketing agency will be automatically refunded. Please allow 7-10 days for refunds to appear.
