Bleeding Gods Recruits New Bassist Yessica Netto

Dutch blackened death metal band Bleeding Gods has announced that they have recruited Yessica Netto as their new bass player. A statement from the band reads as follows:

“We are proud to announce that we have found our new Metal Queen. As of today Yessica is going to handle all the brutal and heavy bass parts.

Yessica states:
“I have known Bleeding Gods for quite some time now, and they are a fascinating mixture
of different people and unbelievably excellent musicians. I feel honored to be asked
to join Bleeding Gods, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I look forward to being involved in the future of the band and to meeting you all on the road!”

“We have already started rehearsals for the first live shows with Yessica and we are highly motivated. At the moment, we are writing the successor of ‘Dodekathlon’, so stay tuned for further info.”

Dimmu Borgir Taps Bassist Victor Brandt (Entomed A.D., Etc.)

Dimmu Borgir announce that they have officially tapped Entombed A.D./Firespawn bassist Victor Brandt.

Says Brandt of his new job:

“It’s a great honor and pleasure to be a part of the mighty Dimmu Borgir. And such great timing for me to start at the release of their new album ‘Eonian‘, which in my opinion is their best album so far. The members of the band are equally awesome to their music so I am looking forward to good times ahead.”

Adds Dimmu Borgir:

Arsis Sign With Agonia Records

Arsis have officially signed a contract with Agonia Records for territories outside of North, South and Central America. The group’s music will still be released through Nuclear Blast Records in those areas. Tracking sessions for the Arsis’ sixth album commenced with producer Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, DevilDriver) late last year and the band are plotting a 2018 release for it.

Speaking on the band’s new label arrangement, mainman James Malone comments:

“We are really excited to have found a label partner outside of the Americas. Agonia works with some great bands and we are pleased to be working with them moving forward. We look forward to reaching some new ground with a new record in 2018. Stay tuned for details.”

Eyes Of The Sun Signs With Black Light Media

Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Brooklyn’s doom metal trio Eyes Of The Sun. After releasing a self-titled EP in 2010, and debut full-length “Chapter I” in 2013, the band is now poised to release a sophomore effort in 2018.

Eyes Of The Sun comments: “This is the absolute highlight of our journey and we look forward to the days ahead. Onslaught Gearing Up For European Shows, Signs New Management Deal

Onslaught has joined forces with Proximity Productions Management, with guitarist Nige Rockett commenting:

“We’ve been to Asia several times in recent years and it’s clearly an expanding market where Metal music is very much on the rise. It would be awesome to increase the ‘Onslaught‘ profile in the region and I think working with ‘Proximity Productions’ will definitely give us a huge advantage. We’ve been in discussion with the company for some months now and their vision for the band is very cool, the vibes are extremely positive and we look forward to this new challenge with Harsha and his team.“

On signing up with Onslaught, the owner of PP adds, “It is indeed an honour and a privilege to work with such big names from the classic era. One of those bands that remain true to it’s form even to this day and age. It’s a surreal experience that we begin our journey together now.”

Meanwhile, Onslaught is all set for the next leg of the “Full Force” European tour, thrashing till death alongside Artillery.

Trauma Confirmed For 70,000 Tons Of Metal 2017

U.S. group Trauma has been confirmed for the 2017 edition of the floating 70,000 Tons of Metal festival taking place on February 2nd – 6th. Drummer Kris Gustofson stated:

“Trauma is delighted and honored to be playing on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise with some of the best bands in metal. This is going to be a blast and we look forward to putting the pedal to the metal.”

Immortal To Enter The Recording Studio

Immortal will start recording a new album at Abyss Studio this coming January 2017. Demonaz and Horgh comment:

“The songs have been ready for some time, but we wanted to record it at the right place and time. We will once again work with Peter Tägtgren at Abyss Studio who produced our four last albums. The band will enter the studio during wintertime to have the right atmosphere.

“We look forward to record and present the new album to the Immortal hordes sometime in 2017. Harm’s Way Inks Record Deal With Metal Blade
