New Album Title And Release Dates Announced By Rhapsody Of Fire

Italian power metal legends Rhapsody of Fire have announced that the long awaited new release will be entitled “Dark Wings of Steel.” The album will drop via AFM Records on November 22nd (EU) and December 3rd (USA). The album will be released as CD, Digipak and double-Vinyl. The Digipak and Vinyl versions will include a bonus track.

All recordings, mix and mastering are finally completed. “Dark Wings Of Steel” was produced by Alex Staropoli, all songs composed by Alex Staropoli and Manuel Staropoli, with the collaboration of guitarist Roberto De Micheli. All lyrics were written by Fabio Lione, and beside the rhythm section with Alex and Oliver Holzwarth, it will also feature a full orchestra, a great choir, and real instruments as in the best Rhapsody of Fire tradition.

Lecherous Nocturne Posts “Ouroboros Chains” Video

USDM powerhouse Lecherous Nocturne has teamed with MetalInjection.net for the exclusive world premier of the video for “Ouroboros Chains.” Taken off the band’s third full-length, “Behold Almighty Doctrine,” the Garrett Williams directed video for “Ouroboros Chains” is now playing at this location and below. “Behold Almighty Doctrine” was released in March of this year on Unique Leader Records.

The long awaited follow up to 2008’s “The Age of Miracles has Passed,” the new album sees Ethan Lane and founding member Kreishloff responsible for six-string sorcery; James O’Neal (Apotheosys, Atrocious Abnormality) and Alex Lancia (Annthennath) on the low-end tremors and rhythmic battery, respectively; and Chris Lollis (ex-Nile) on the hell-spawned roars of the possessed.

Carcass Track Streaming From “Surgical Steel”

As the September release date for the long awaited comeback album from Carcass approaches, a second track from the upcoming eleven-song disc has surfaced. Below is an upload of the song “The Master Butcher’s Apron,” which will be track number five on “Surgical Steel.” The album will be released on Sept. 13th (EU), 16th (UK) and 17th, (NA) via Nuclear Blast Records. The band recorded four additional songs during the “Surgical Steel” sessions that were not included on the album: “A Wraith in the Apparatus”, “Intensive Battery Brooding”, “Zochrot”, and “Livestock Marketplace.”

Crimson Glory Posts Raw Demo Of New Track "Garden Of Shadows"

Florida power/progressive band Crimson Glory posted up a raw demo of the new track “Garden of Shadows,” which is to appear on the band’s long awaited new LP and follow up to the 1999 release “Astronomica.” The band features vocalist Todd La Torre (Queensryche).

The song “Garden of Shadows” is part of a conceptual album and is a rough demo and first version of the first track written for the release.

Athens, Greece based act Hannibal has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a new album next year and heading out on tour:

Xandria Unveils "Neverworld’s End" Cover Artwork

German symphonic/gothic band Xandria have unveiled the cover artwork for the band’s long awaited fifth release “Neverworld’s End” (seen below). The album marks the band’s first release since “Salomé – the Seventh Veil” in 2007 and it features the band’s new vocalist Manuela Kraller (Haggard).
