Harm’s Way will be touring in support of their new album, Posthuman. Having grown with each subsequent release, Posthuman is a devastating addition to the band’s catalog. “We’ve always stayed true to who we are and allowed the songwriting process to take shape organically from record to record, and as the band has progressed, our sound has become more refined with metal and industrial influences,” states drummer Chris Mills, while guitarist Bo Lueders succinctly sums up what people can expect when they first spin the record: “To a Harm’s Way fan, I would describe ‘Posthuman‘ as a blend of ‘Isolation‘(2011) and ‘Rust‘ (2015), but it’s sonically way more insane. To anyone else, I would simply say it’s full on heavy and full on aggression.”

Silent Planet Premieres New Song & Video “Orphan” From Upcoming New Album “Everything Was Sound”

Progressive metalcore unit Silent Planet premieres a new song entitled “Orphan”, taken from the upcoming new album “Everything Was Sound”, which will be out in stores July 01 via Solid State Records.

Says vocalist Garret Russell of the song: “Orphan explores the cultural chasm between the western and eastern world. In the recent political sphere, we’ve seen instance after instance of politicians framing our narrative of other cultures around the world – often painting other cultures and religions with one broad brush to lead us to unfounded conclusions. Simultaneously, we see the same political tactics being used on the other side of the world – often fanning the flames of fanaticism and anti-West sentiment. Orphan examines two men, caught between the poles of extremism and confusion at one another’s culture. The video shows how perception of one another can so often distort reality – bringing us to the greatest illness of all: Fear.”

Check out now “Orphan” below.

Catch Silent Planet live on these upcoming dates:

Featuring ten tracks that marry the scratchy yet catchy, swaggering, and dangerous sounds of The Stooges, Blondie, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs with the playfulness, pop sensibility, and exuberance of the finest 90s alt-rock, Mother Feather is the combination of the band’s two independently released recordings – 2011′s Mother Feather EP and 2013′s Living Breathing EP – plus two new songs, “Natural Disaster” and “The Power.” For their efforts, the group has garnered massive buzz for their unique brand of rock, vibrant Bowie-esque costumes and makeup, and enthralling live show. Having previously been featured on IFC.com, TeamCoco.com, and HuffingtonPost.com (who declared them as “a great New York City band in the tradition of Great New York City Bands”), Mother Feather was also recently named “new band of the week” by Metal Hammer, and has received much play on Daniel P. Carter’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 1. Of the new record, lead singer Ann Courtney says, “I want to make the kind of music that makes hearts explode. The feeling when you’re fifteen and you want to hear that song on repeat turned up as loud as the stereo will go and sing at the top of your lungs and thrash around your bedroom. I don’t want to put any music into the world that isn’t going to save someone – mostly me.”
