Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the new album from Mike Lepond’s Silent Assassins, “Pawn and Prophecy” on January 26, 2018. Lepond is extremely excited for the release of his band’s sophomore effort, which he describes as a “a collection of epic tales told with the power of heavy metal music. The classic head-banging riffs and kick ass vocals will get your horns and fists in the air. It is an album made FOR metalheads, BY metalheads.”

On the story behind the song, Mike Lepond says:

” ‘Avengers of Eden’ is based on ‘The Doom that came to Sarnath’ by H.P. Lovecraft. It’s one of the faster tracks on the record. The main riff was inspired by Van Halen’s, “House of Pain”. I turned that up to Motorhead/Exciter speed with a Dio style vocal.”

Vancouver, BC’s Crnkshft will unleash a new self-titled EP produced by Daren Grahn (Metallica, Hedley, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi) on March 24th, 2017.

The group comments: “We’re not a band that’s going to give you stage props and fake blood and shit, we’re going to give you an emotional rollercoaster, it’s not just straight metal or straight rock, it’s a mixer of everything in between, the songs have tonnes of dynamic, and we push for people to get caught up in it.”

The wrecking crew adds: “Our new EP is a beast; we are really excited to showcase our melodic side. The four songs should touch a wide demographic of fans, which is what we want. We aren’t looking to be defined as just a heavy metal band, but as a hard knocking punch to get anyone going. We’re accepted by all those who listen to metal and rock. The whole idea of Crnkshfts music is that we’ll be enjoyed by fans across a variety of genres.”

Vocalist Shane Jolie further states about the lyrics: “This EP is pseudo political, but also has songs about heartache and emotions, it’s not a story from start to finish, and each song has its own message. It’s an EP to show the world who we are and what we’re all about. My writing is dark, ideas came from depression and anger, sometimes when I’m happy, but mostly not and it’s still very true to this day. I want people to take whatever they can from the listening experience of our new EP. Music always helped me out of my funks and I want Crnkshft to do the same. Let it be accessible to all people and all feelings.”

Soilwork today announces a special collection of rarities under the monicker “Death Resonance” and due out on August 19th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented the band: “Attention Soilwork fans! Although The Tour Majestic is far from over, we’ve put together a very special release for you all. ‘Death Resonance’ compiles fifteen rare and unreleased tracks ranging all the way back to ‘Stabbing The Drama.’

Frnland’s own heavy/thrash metal outfit Freedomination just released a new online single. Recorded during the same sessions as previous EP “The Stand” (still available for streaming over here), “The Guf / Tower of Bones” is finally here for your listening pleasure. The band also comments:

“If you enjoy the idea of someone trying desperately to come up with something Judas Priest or Iron Maiden could’ve left unwritten, mixed with a touch of Megadeth and Nevermore, but that obviously isn’t quite as good as any of them, you are in for a treat!”

After almost 10 months of hard work, Acid Death’s “Hall Of Mirrors” album is completed, mixed and mastered. The band comments:

“We are really happy with the final result! Fotis Benardo (SiXforNinE, ex-Septic Flesh) who undertook the co-production at Devasoundz studios, gave his 100% and built a really solid and massive sound.

“Also we are really happy to include two multi-camera live videos from Acid Death’s recent appearance with The Haunted at club Kyttaro, Athens-Greece. ‘Hall Of Mirrors’ will be the band’s new passage to find a new record deal. At first the listening session/report is arranged to take place at Artworks studios, Athens, on Sunday, May 17th.”

An audio teaser for “Hall Of Mirrors” can be heard in the Bandcamp player provided below. The album will also feature guest spots by Manthos “ManSter” Stergiou (Tardive Dyskinesia), Nick Melissourgos (Suicidal Angels), Jon Soti (Floating Worlds), and Illiana Tsakiraki (Enemy of Reality).

Arizona thrashers Warhead have released a new single called “Widowmaker.” The track is “thrash metal to the bone” and is available now for streaming and as a free download at Sterokiller at this location (also in the player below). The band has also uploaded “Widowmaker” to its YouTube channel for your listening pleasure. Eardrums beware.

Beginning as a fledgling Thrash Metal outfit from Chandler, Arizona, Warhead has evolved into one of the most dynamic, versatile, and explosive bands in the Valley’s metal scene. The band’s vocalist and guitar player Nolan Castles is joined by Sam Bollard on Bass, Cody Bailey on Lead Guitar, and Dane White on drums.

Warhead’s music is the volatile result of the classic metal sound colliding with each members’ unique influences, producing some of the hardest hitting anthems that the scene has ever heard. The band’s music is matched by their genuine look, like a battalion of metal warriors. Fresh off the release of their self-released debut album “Death Row,” Warhead hit the road for their first tour of the West Coast in May 2013. Crowds were captivated by the band’s chaotic live show, and eagerly await their return. Currently, the band is in writing mode for an EP, and planning another tour for mid-September.

This is no retro act. Warhead is not hungry for success. The band represents four musicians starving for success, demanding attention, and pushing everyone else out of the way. At the end of the day, Warhead lives for music, and everything else is purely secondary.

After eight long and eventful years, San Francisco’s deranged death/grind freaks from Cretin are back with a brand new full-length album.

Turkish brutalists Decimation will release “Reign of Ungodly Creation “on December 9th through Comatose Music. Decibel has posted a stream of track “Devilish Domain Vortex in the Gloom of Wicked Ziggurat” for your listening pleasure right here. You can also check out the beastly track “Aberrant Ablution by Filthy Excrements of a Grotesque Crassamentum,” another new track from the upcoming album, below.

“Reign of Ungodly Creation” follows the band’s 2010 Comatose Music release “Anthems of an Empyreal Dominion.” This CD release includes a 16 page booklet featuring the brilliant artwork of the legendary Dan Seagrave. The album will me mixed and mastered by Sasha Borovykh at TsunTsun.
