Forever Still Posts “Is It Gone?” Music Video Online

Only two more weeks to go until Forever Still unleash their sophomore full-length release “Breathe In Colours.” For this record, Denmark’s highflyers have adapted a dark musical concept, inspired by a dystopian cyberpunk future in which humanity flees into cyberspace, and the fact that some of the biggest works in that genre, Blade Runner and Akira, are set in 2019. With their first two singles, “Rew1nd” and “Breathe In Colours,” the do-it-yourself band have already presented the rocking side of their new release, and today, they introduce their listeners to the capturing power ballad “Is It Gone?.”

“The overarching thought behind ‘Is It Gone?’ can be summed up in the chorus line saying “it’s only gone if I let it go”, which is something I think a lot of people can relate to”, Maja explains. “We hold onto all these negative things and thoughts, some that might never even happen. I remember reading one time that 85% of things we worry about never come true. That’s a lot of trouble for no reason at all. Sometimes you just need to let it go and stop obsessing over things that are out of your control.”

North Hammer Debut New Song “Wanderer” From Upcoming New Album “Stormcaller”

Created by Andrew James of Edmonton, AB’s Eye of Horus and Shotgunner, his new project, one man folk metal band NORTH HAMMER is drawing inspiration from the mighty Quorthon; for Andrew is not so much a one-man band as a one-warrior metal machine. Andrew wrote and recorded the guitar, bass, vocals, and orchestration along with drums done by Doug Helcaraxë Nunez for NORTH HAMMER’s forthcoming debut album “Stormcaller” set for release on March 16th, 2018.

Today NORTH HAMMER is premiering their next track “Wanderer”, which can be heard below:

Andrew explains the significance of his band’s name:

“The ‘north’ part was a representation of the common theme winter that comes up in metal music, including folk metal. It is also a reference to my native Canada. ‘Hammer’ is a reference to Mjolnir, Thor’s Hammer!”

“The experience I’m trying to give the listeners is that of a fellow fan. I want people to be euphoric for other bands that mean something to them like Ensiferum, Wintersun and Amon Amarth. To connect personally with my music and realize that I love and worship these bands.” explains Andrew James.

Animal Drive Debut New Song “Tower Of Lies (I Walk Alone)” From Upcoming Debut Album “Bite!”

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of Animal Drive’s debut album entitled “Bite!” on February 23, 2018. The first track from the upcoming release is “Tower Of Lies (I Walk Alone)” and the official video can be viewed below.

Explains the band’s label:

“Introduced to the label by the one and only Jeff Scott Soto, Animal Drive immediately impressed the label’s executives thanks to the singer, Dino Jelusic who had an incredibly commanding presence befitting of the enormous hard rock songs that were being performed. Hailing from Zagreb, Croatia, ANIMAL DRIVE were created in 2012 by singer Dino Jelusic, who is the primary songwriter and driving force behind the band’s sound. Dino was chosen by the late, great Paul O’Neill to tour as a featured vocalist on Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s most recent U.S. tour, which is how he crossed paths with Soto and which would ultimately lead to them becoming labelmates.

Animal Drive’s line-up is completed by guitarist Ivan Keller, Roko Rokindja Nikolic on bass, and Adrian Boric on drums. Influenced by legendary bands such as Skid Row (think “Slave to the Grind” era), Whitesnake at their heaviest and with a little progressive rock and metal elements from Dream Theater thrown in the mix, Animal Drive take their listeners on a wild ride of hard rock bombast.”

Unique Leader Records Inks Deal With Krosis

North Carolina-based death metal unit Krosis is the latest addition to the Unique Leader Records roster. The band will release a new full-length release in 2018.

The band issued the collective statement: “We are inexplicably humbled and thankful to be part of a family that some of our favorite bands have been a part of. To have Unique Leader Records see our project as something as worthwhile, original, and significant as we do means more than we can put into words. It is an understatement to say that we are looking forward to our next step as Krosis with Unique Leader Records at our sails.”

Krosis was formed in Raleigh in 2014. A group of talent musicians and friends saw an unsatisfactory pattern starting within modern metal music. The diverse collaboration of influences that make up the framework of Krosis is why the band’s put out the music that it does. Too much of modern death metal and deathcore is limited to a paradigm; Krosis seeks to eliminate boundaries. With backgrounds of rock, jazz, concert bands, and music theory, the band pulls no proverbial punches in terms of diversity, originality, and heaviness. Each member brings many parts of a musical spectrum and emerge with an eclectic sound that proves appealing to lovers of heavy, themed music.

“We are all about creating new trends, fresh ideas, and even entirely unique genres,” the band notes. “Most of all, we’re proud to present every track, knowing that we gave our listeners and fans our absolute best. For some, living the dream is being in front of thousands, with lights and cameras aimed at them. For us, it’s each simple step along the way, each note and each beat, pouring our mind and soul into every creation, so that you can be a part of the experience with us.”

Stand by for further info on Krosis in the weeks to come.

Comments bassist/vocalist ADR:

“The Divine Light of a New Sun is both a call to arms and an exploration into our dark past. It takes us through the birth of the inspirational war machines that led to the advent of the atomic age and into an era of unparalleled destructiveness and limitless potential. The album progresses from the modern age of pervasive mental weakness and lack of discipline to a new age reinforced by the remorseless pursuit of excellence at all costs. We also explore the endless horrors of terrorism among other disturbing subjects I’m certain will resonate with our listeners.”

Ann My Guard Signs With Rock’N’Growl To Release “Ourania” Album

Hungarian female-fronted metal band Ann My Guard just signed a record deal with Rock’N’Growl Records. The band’s forthcoming second album “Ourania” is due to be released worldwide on CD and digital formats January 13th, 2017.

Singer Eszter Anna Baumann says: “It’s a great honor to be a part of Rock’N’Growl Records. Our album couldn’t be in better hands than Axel’s. I’ve been following his company/label for many years and I know that he’s very professional in managing and promoting his bands. I am sure that our collaboration will help Ann my Guard to reach more fans internationally. This is a huge step for the band and we are really excited about the future.”

Axel of Rock’N’Growl adds: “We are proud to welcome Ann My Guard to the Rock’N’Growl family! This band is really dedicated and hard working. That’s what it makes to get them on our roster.”

About the new album, Eszter had this to say: “I wanted to make a record that fully represents what Ann my Guard is: I really like mixing the ethereal feminine vocals with heavy guitar riffs and dark melodies. I like contrasts. Moreover, I love to use mythical metaphors: while on the debut record, Innocence Descent I used the Moon representing the maturing of a woman, by Ourania I expressed more universal themes. As the lyrics of Asteria say: I just want to elevate you, underneath my starlit sky, I’ll be set free… The aim of rock music for me is to elevate the listeners into another dimensions, not to pull them down. I think that’s what we all need from music nowadays, right?”

1. Novae
2. Asteria
3. Callisto
4. Io
5. Breathe The Sun
6. Obsidian Tears
7. Serpent
8. Hekate
9. The Secret

Recitations Announces Debut Release “The First Of The Listeners”

Signal Rex, in conjunction with Avantgarde Music, is proud to present the debut offering of Recitations, titled “The First of the Listeners,” on 12″ vinyl this coming November 15th.

Recitations started work on what would become “The First of the Listeners” in late 2015, with an aim to create unpretentious dark music in an experimental exploration of both unusual harmonies and patterns.

Recitations consists of members from more or less known bands to the underground of black and death metal, but the band wants to keep the focus on the musical and ideological aspects instead of participating in the cult of persona, though without any pompous focus on anonymity for the sake of it.

The band altogether wield a wide swath of instrumentation, including guitars (electric, semi-acoustic, and acoustic), bass, bass synthesizers, drums, bells, percussion, samplers, analog synthesizers, digital synthesizers, sonic treatments, field recordings, vocals, and chants. It is the first magickal induction of Recitations, and is suitably titled “The First of the Listeners.” The track listing is:

01. The First of the Listeners
02. Tongueskull Sacrament
03. Godspeak Halilu Lija
04. To Voice the Unutterable
