Fjoergyn Inks Deal With Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records just checked in with the following statement about inking a record deal with Fjoergyn:

“We are proud to announce the signing of German uncompromising avantgarde metal act Fjoergyn to the Lifeforce Records roster! Their new album is set to be released in Autum 2016.

“Originally intended to be a purely orchestral solo work, Fjoergyn was founded in 2003 by musical visionary Stephan L. His approach until today (with now having a full band line-up): to combine opulent orchestral, and classical sounds with heavy guitars, and a metal aesthetic.

“Following this path, Stephan L. achieves oppressive, yet tremendous compositions. Due to its challenging basis, and the unconventional direction of action, the result of his creative work has to be described as epic and forward thinking.

“Through the time of its existence, Fjoergyn evolved to an insider tip for listeners of epic metal looking for a different approach to varicolored, neo-classical heavy music. Under constant accusations, the band declared the human kind to parasite and tells stories of a self-fulfilling prophecy about the end of all days and the final reckoning between nature and mankind.

“So far, Fjoergyn released four albums of thoughtful gloomy music with careful arrangements and exceptional moods. The Thuringians toured across Europe supporting progressive colleagues such as The Vision Bleak, and Alcest. 2016 will see the release of bands fifth full length as well as a first vinyl MLP. And of course the signing of Fjoergyn to Lifeforce Records!”

Lay Siege Signs With Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records is very excited to announce the signing of U.K. metal outfit Lay Siege, who will release debut album “Hopeisnowhere” this coming Spring 2015. Check out a teaser trailer below. Lifeforce also comments:

“Hailing from the heart of England, Lay Siege fuses the sounds of metalcore, post-metal and sludge to create their own brand of suffocatingly heavy music riddled with heart and depth.

“The album follows on from Lay Siege’s 2012 six track EP ‘Obulus,’ which gained supported from the likes of Kerrang! Radio, Scuzz TV and Rock Sound magazine. Having stepped it up another notch, ‘Hopeisnowhere’ is a heart bruising journey exemplified by merciless throat-shredding vocals erupting over riff-orientated raging guitars.

“This is modern metal with no compromises, just presence. To kick things off the band will release debut single ‘Hollow Hands’ on February 9th.”

Vocalist Carl Brown commented: “We are beyond excited to have signed to Lifeforce Records and to be joining so many great bands past and present on the label. This album has been a long time coming so to finally have it released and through a label like Lifeforce is amazing for us. We’re all extremely proud of the songs and also of the sound of the album and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

Stefan Luedicke of Lifeforce Records added: “I’m really looking forward to work with one of UK’s most exciting new bands and I’m sure folks out there will love Lay Siege’s new album as much as I do.”

Ready, Set, Fall Signs With Lifeforce To Release “Memento”

Lifeforce Records has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Ready, Set, Fall:

“We are proud to announce the signing of Italy’s finest modern metal/metalcore act Ready, Set, Fall to the Lifeforce Records roster! The band’s Lifeforce Records debut ‘Memento’ is set to be released in February 2014!

“If you are into outstanding melodies, striking choruses and a modern-style heavy sound, you have to listen to Ready, Set, Fall. This Italian band combines Swedish melodic death with American metalcore and a strong preference for agile variability. ‘Memento’ marks the first full length album and Lifeforce debut for this band which came together in Genoa in 2010.

“Some of the Ready, Set, Fall members have roots within the (pop) punk genre (Where Everything is, The Last Banned). Others paid their dues being part of metalcore and metal-acts such as Blood, Sweat And No Tears, Aspasia, and Living Corpse. With forming Ready, Set, Fall the Italians brought together their wide range of influences and predilections for the best elements of the Scandinavian and American heavy music scene.

“Listening to ‘Memento’ you cannot avoid to think of Soilwork, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, or All That Remains. This is exactly what Ready, Set, Fall want to achieve, without just copying those established acts. The quintet is driven by its internalization of modern-style metal, being played without any boundaries or restrictions. Enjoy!”
