Nailed To Obscurity Issues 2013 Year-End Recap

Nailed To Obscurity has issued the following year-end recap and update about upcoming activity:

“An eventful year comes to an end: first of all, we want to wish all of you a very happy New Year and the best possible start into 2014! Many thanks for your great support!

“For us 2013 was a very eventful year. We put finishing touches on our latest album ‘Opaque,’ recorded it with Lasse Lammert at LSD Studio and finally released it via Apostasy Records, which is the perfect partner for us!

“Beyond all that, we had our first show with Raimund in July followed by the Dark Season Tour together with our friends Dicentress. It was a blast and we’ll surely never forget all those great impressions.

“With the beginning of 2014, we’re going to work on some new material. It might seem a little early for one or another but those who know us also know that we’re taking a lot of time to create our music and since we don’t want you waiting another six years we’ll kick things off a little earlier.

“From midyear on, you’ll have the chance to see us live again. Updates will be posted here as soon as possible! Along these lines, happy New Year everybody!”

Nailed To Obscurity Posts “Opaque” Teaser

German progressive death metallers Nailed To Obscurity have posted a teaser for “Opaque,” the band’s forthcoming sophomore album and first to feature new vocalist Raimund Ennenga. Check out the teaser below. The follow-up to the band’s 2007, self-released debut “Abyss,” “Opaque” will be released on September 20th in Germany, September 23rd in the UK and the rest of Europe and October 1st in North America through Apostasy Records. “Opaque” was produced together with Lasse Lammert at LSD-Studio in Lübeck, Germany. Artwork comes courtesy of Ben Borucki (Irrleuchten).

The band comments, “By suppressing our deepest feelings and by concealing our fears and emotions we mask our inner self. This topic runs like a red thread through our new album. No other title would fit the content better than ‘Opaque.’ The artwork, which was done by Ben Borucki, captures this atmosphere perfectly and creates a symbiosis between the music, the lyrics and the art.”
