Black Witchery Releasing Early Works Compilation

During its nearly 20-year history, Black Witchery has appropriately earned recognition as one of the most important cults of bestial black metal ever to have emerged from North America.

Under its original moniker, Witchery, the band released two demos before changing its name and then went on to produce an EP and two split recordings before unleashing full-length debut, “Desecration of the Holy Kingdom,” in 2001. These early recordings capture an evolution in Black Witchery’s sound that has led to the band’s current position as one of the most violent purveyors of black metal.

On October 31st, on both CD and double-LP formats, Nuclear War Now! Productions is proud to resurrect the unholy document of Black Witchery’s evil ascension with “Evil Shall Prevail,” a collection of all tracks from the band’s ’97 demo, “Evil Shall Prevail” demo, “Summoning of Infernal Legions” EP, and the contribution to the “Hellstorm of Evil Vengeance” split with Conqueror.

Additionally, previously-unreleased outtakes from the “Hellstorm…” recording session are also included, as is Black Witchery’s cover of Sarcófago’s “Black Vomit” from the “Tribute to Sarcófago” compilation CD from 2001.

Death SS Re-Issuing Three Albums Via Shadow Kingdom Records

Shadow Kingdom Records just announced the signing of Italian group Death SS for the reissue of the band’s first three albums: 1988’s “…in Death of Steve Sylvester,” 1989’s “Black Mass,” and 1991’s “Heavy Demons.”

Each album will be released on CD, vinyl, and cassette formats, (as well as digital) with a T-shirt design produced for each album cover. Shadow Kingdom comments:

“Long a cult name in the international heavy metal scene, Death SS have influenced thousands over the past three decades in their long, twisted history, equally influencing the nascent speed metal and black metal scenes with their trademark ghoulish and theatrical presentation. Shadow Kingdom couldn’t be prouder and more honored to have Death SS amongst its roster, most of which have been shaped by the band in one way or another.”

Bury Thy Kingdom Calls It Quits, Releases “Finite Reverie” EP

Pittsburgh-based metal band Bury Thy Kingdom has decided to throw in the towel, but not before releasing some final music, which can be heard below. The band comments:

“Announcement day is here! It’s a mixture of good and bad news. Let’s start out with the bad news to get that shit out of the way….

|Unfortunately, the struggle to keep this project alive has become too much effort. Today is the day Bury Thy Kingdom is hanging up our gloves. Some of you may have not seen this coming. Some of you may have. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have had you as amazing and supportive fans (read: friends). We love and thank you all!

“Now, onto the good news… Since we recorded, what seems like 19 years ago, we figured now would probably be a good time to release the music. That being said, you can stream our EP on our YouTube channel. In each videos description has the lyrics to each song and a link to where you can download the EP (with and without vocals) FOR FREE!

“It’s our gift to you for sticking with us, even throughout our recent, unbearably boring hiatus. Though Bury Thy Kingdom is no more, some members will continue to pursue music! Again, we cannot thank you all enough.”

The magic of bands like The Cure, Cocteau Twins but also the grandeur of nowadays acts like Dead Can Dance, Lycia, This Mortal Coil and Cranes is present in their music giving to the whole a superb sense of beauty.

“The album will be released on March 14th, 2016 via My Kingdom Music and there’s no way to escape Dperd’s ethereal and nostalgic music… and no reason you’d want to!”

Lost Soul Streaming New Song “Aqueous Ammonia”

On October 30, 2015 the new album by Polish death metal institution Lost Soul entitled “Atlantis – The New Beginning” will be released.

Today, you can get a first glimpse on new material by listening to “Aqueous Ammonia” below. Lost Soul mastermind Jacek Grecki comments on the song:

“It is my great pleasure to announce that we can finally share the first song from the upcoming album ‘Atlantis: The New Beginning’ with you! ‘Aqueous Ammonia’ is the second track on the album. I can not say it is one of my favorites, because I love all the songs on ‘Atlantis.’ However, this song seems to be the best piece to start interacting with our fans.

“Totally uncompromising, fast, dark, angry and expressively built song. Lyrical layer is set in the sphere of orbits of one of the outer planets of the Solar System. The underlying message is cleverly concealed under the story of the Kingdom of Poseidon, at the same time constituting a denial of the second commandment of the decalogue. The piece is complemented by a fantastic lead by our guitarist Marek Golas, embellished with choir and delicate keyboards in the background. Atlantis is approaching fast! Enjoy!”
