Monument Of Misanthropy Premieres New Track “At Death’s Door” – New Album “Capital Punisher” Out Today

Monument Of Misanthropy‘s new EP titled “Capital Punisher” officially hits stores on CD today, October 31, 2017 and will be released digitally via all major digital-retailers on December 5th, 2017 (Krampus Night). Physical orders and exclusive bundles for “Capital Punisher” are available via BigCartel HERE.

Like on the Austrian/French brutal death metal maniacs’ critically acclaimed pre-decessor and full-length debut “Anger Mismanagement”, French drum-wizard Romain Goulon (Necrophagist, ex-Benighted) is providing studio-drums. Except on band’s cover version of The Faceless’ track “Prison Born”, for which David Diepold (ex-Benighted) delivered his amazing session work.

Today Monument Of Misanthropy has dropped a sinister and erratic new track from the brand new outing, titled “At Death’s Door”, which can be streamed via YouTube below.

Explains frontman George “Misanthrope” Wilfinger: “‘At Death’s Door’ is an evaluation of our fucked up global political and economic situation and a venomous swan song for humanity. It’s about corruption and the constant misleading of the people, executed by a small group of lobbies for the benefit of an even smaller circle of entrepreneurs that run our entire world to their own innermost needs.”

Adds Wilfinger:

“To sum up, I can say that with our lyrical themes ranging from political and economic corruption, to sickening animal abuse, and the psychological struggles of a misanthropic mass murderer, “Capital Punisher” serves perfectly as 2017’s cataclysmic and cynical soundtrack for a world gone criminally insane. Brutal music for brutal times.”

“Capital Punisher”-track list:

01 Epilogue I
02 Capital Punisher
03 Epilogue II
04 At Death’s Door
05 Epilogue III
06 Killing Spree
07 Pull The Plug (Death – cover version)
08 Prison Born* (The Faceless – cover version)

“Capital Punisher” arrives in stores on CD today , October 31, 2017 and digitally via all major digital-retailers on December 5th, 2017 (Krampus Night). Physical orders and exclusive bundles for “Capital Punisher” are currently available via BigCartel HERE.

Monument Of Misanthropy Premieres Trailer For Upcoming New EP “Capital Punisher”

Austrian/French brutal death metal maniacs of Monument Of Misanthropy are set to release their upcoming new EP titled “Capital Punisher” this October. Like on the band’s critically acclaimed pre-decessor and full-length debut “Anger Mismanagement”, French drum-wizard Romain Goulon (Necrophagist, ex-Benighted) is providing studio-drums. The album’s cover artwork was created by Remy Cuveillier of Headsplit Design, Paris, France.

Today Monument Of Misanthropy has dropped a trailer with exactly 666 seconds of brand new tunes of the band’s forthcoming EP, which can be streamed via YouTube below.

Explains frontman George “Misanthrope” Wilfinger:

“After this year’s European Tour with Vader and Immolation, we went directly to the studios to put our finishing touches to this new EP. We’ve been playing “At Death’s Door” already during that 3-weeks run, and later some more new songs from it during this year’s summer festivals. People seemed to love the new tracks as much as they love the classic MoM-tracks. So if you like your deathmetal brutal with hints of deathgrind, grindcore, slam and old-school death & thrash, I think this album will be your cup of tea.

We also recorded two new covers for it (Death’s “Pull The Plug” and The Faceless’ “Prison Born”), putting the typical Monument Of Misanthropy sound to it. To sum up, I can say that with our own lyrical themes ranging from political and economic corruption, to animal abuse, and psychological struggles of a misanthropic mass murderer, I think “Capital Punisher” serves perfectly as 2017’s cataclysmic and cynical soundtrack for a world gone criminally insane. Brutal music for brutal times.

“Capital Punisher”-track list:

01 Epilogue I
02 Capital Punisher
03 Epilogue II
04 At Death’s Door
05 Epilogue III
06 Killing Spree
07 Pull The Plug (Death – cover version)
08 Prison Born (The Faceless – cover version)

“Capital Punisher” will hit stores on CD – appropriately enough – this coming Halloween, October 31, 2017 and digitally via all major digital-retailers on December 5th, 2017 (Krampus Night or Krampusnacht). Physical pre-orders and exclusive bundles for “Capital Punisher” are currently available via BigCartel HERE.

Macabre Announces U.S. Mini-Tour Dates

Chicago’s murder metal trio Macabre will embark on a mini-tour next week in gala of the twentieth anniversary of the seminal “Sinister Slaughter” album. Dates are available below, and the following press release was issued about the band:

“Macabre blends elements of true crime, math rock, nursery rhymes, punk, thrash, folk melodies, death metal, jazz fusion, black metal and more into an energetic, catchy and unmistakable amalgam and signature genre, ‘Murder Metal.’

“Miraculously still comprised of the same decomposing torsos which founded the band in 1985 — vocalist/guitarist Corporate Death, drummer Dennis The Menace and bassist/vocalist Nefarious — the infamous Macabre henchmen will stalk, slash and stampede their way through Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio with four brutalizing performances celebrating the passing of two decades since their maniacal Sinister Slaughter LP was released via Nuclear Blast in April of 1993.

“Every Macabre fan in the region should forge a path to one of these special shows, as the band will exhume hymns they’ve not delivered on-stage in an extremely long time. While the band is likely to pull some surprises and switch things up, the set list for these shows is rumored to include ‘Killing Spree,’ ‘Howard Unrah (What Have You Done Now?!),’ ‘Mr. Albert Fish (Were Children Your Favorite Dish),’ ‘Montreal Massacre,’ ‘The Ted Bundy Song,’ ‘What’s That Smell?,’ ‘Apartment 213,’ ‘Dr. Holmes (He Stripped Their Bones),’ ‘Konerak,’ and more, along with the Sinister Slaughter classics ‘Zodiac,’ ‘Nightstalker,’ and ‘Vampire Of Düsseldorf.’

“Macabre will bringing some new and classic merchandise on the road with them including Black Knight shirts, trucker caps, classic Albert Fish shirts, Established 1985 shirts, McMassacre shirts, girls slasher logo tank tops and shirts, Grim Scary Tales picture LP’s, patches, stickers and much more.”

The next chapter in Relapse’s Death reissue campaign will be the “Spiritual Healing” album. The label comments:

“Originally released in 1990, Spiritual Healing marked a new turn in the Death discography, one which ushered in cleaner production, a new level of boundary pushing musicianship and songwriting skills that were previously unimaginable from a metal band. Spiritual Healing sets the standard for riffs, insane time changes and of course mainman Chuck Schuldiner’s masterful guitar solos.

“Now reissued as a double CD housed in super deluxe packaging featuring brand new liner notes from Death players James Murphy and Terry Butler, Chuck’s sister Beth Schuldiner and Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen, Disc 1 features a completely new remaster of the original album and Disc 2 contains 16 previously unreleased rehearsal, outtakes and studio instrumentals.
