Hostile Media Inks Deal With The Vicious Head Society

Earlier this year, The Vicious Head Society, the brainchild of Irish guitar virtuoso Graham Keane released the debut album “Abject Tomorrow,” which gained applause the world over. Featuring guests such as keyboardist Derek Sherinan of Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kiss, Steve Vai, and Joe Bonamassa fame, fellow Irishman and bass player Pat Byrne, and drum machine Kevin Talley “Abject Tomorrow” tickled the ears of progressive metal fans and those with a taste for all things guitar.

Today, Keane can reveal he has teamed up with Hostile Media to reissue his acclaimed debut on December 15th. The reissue will also include a bonus track “Xylematic Disembowelment.” Keane comments, “When Hostile Media offered me a contract which guarantees huge amounts of cash, fame and at least two limousine rides in exchange for my earthly soul, it was a no brainer! In seriousness, I’m delighted to sign with HM, it presents me with a chance to reach more people with my music. To celebrate, I recorded an out take from the Abject sessions and we just about managed to squeeze it on to the CD. ‘Xylematic Disembowelment’ is a zappa inspired instrumental combined with death metal. I don’t think I need to say any more than that!”

The track list for the album is:

1. The Sycophants
2. Abject Tomorrow
3. Downfall
4. Agenda
5. The 11th Hour
6. Psychedelic Torture Trip
7. Gods Of The New Age
8. Analogue Spectre
9. Xylematic Disembowelment

Truth Corroded Recruits New Drummer Jake Sproule

Australian death/thrash metal act Truth Corroded is pleased to welcome Jake Sproule as the band’s new drummer. Jake also performs with death metal slam act Whoretopsy and tech death act Necrospyre.

Jake has already been playing as a live session drummer with Truth Corroded for the past several months across Australia and Asia. Commenting on joining the band, Jake offers: “Pretty stoked to be officially joining Truth Corroded, I have been having a great time touring with them since late last year. They’re a great group of mates, they make great music and are fun to work with, so I am very much looking forward to working with these guys in the future and I look forward to writing music with them in the years to come.”

Bbass guitarist Greg Shaw adds: “Jake is an outstanding drummer and anyone who has seen him perform with us live will appreciate that he is also an outstanding fit for the band. Having seen him play in his own band Whoretopys or a number of years, and as a student of the mighty Dave Haley of Psycroptic, he is not only a great addition to the band but also one of the best this country has produced – raising the bar on the quality of Australia’s extreme music talent.”

Jake replaces long time live drummer Kieran Murray, who has been with the band since 2011. Vocalist Jason North comments on the situation: “We have had an incredible time with Kieran and have had some of the band’s best experiences across the world with him as a member of the band. He is not only a powerful drummer but a really great friend, and a great laugh. We wish Kieran the very best for his endeavours with his other bands Seminal Embalment & Meth Leppard, the separation is amicable, and we look forward to partying with him off stage. Truth Corroded have featured Kevin Talley as a studio drummer on the band’s past two albums, and Kevin performs once again on the bands upcoming new release.”

Srednep Releases New Album “Social Masks,” Full Stream Available

Kevin Srednep conceptualized his experimental industrial metal project Srednep in 2013 as a solo studio-based venture. After receiving praise for his 2014 EP, “Silence” – which featured the addition of aggressive, bottom-heavy guitar work by Spineshank guitarist Mike Sarkisyan – Srednep recognized that only way onward was upward.

When writing his brand new sophomore release, “Social Masks,” a full-length album focusing on the hypocrisies of humanity, Srednep knew that he and Sarkisyan needed an additional driving force behind the project. Enter drummer extraordinaire Kevin Talley, recognized for his work with artists such as Dying Fetus, Daath, Misery Index, Six Feet Under, Chimaira, Suffocation and many others.

Frontman Kevin Srednep says, “In my eyes, SrednepP needed a new sound and identity, and incorporating real drums instead of electronics was the first step. Of course, Kevin is the perfect go-to guy if you want tight drums on a record, so getting him involved was a no-brainer.”

“Social Masks” also features guest vocalists Sean Zatorsky (Sinsaenum, Chimaira, Daath), Ricky Myers (Disgorge, Suffocation, Serpents Whisper) and a few other special guests. The full albums is now online for streaming below.

“This album focuses on social media: the platform doing the opposite of it’s supposed intention. People documenting their every step, only for a confirmation. Everyone wants to be heard, but no one wants to fucking listen. We are the parasites devouring our planet. We are the anti-cells who create our own prisons,” says Srednep.

New Album “The Bidding Of Tyrants” Announced By Invertia, New Track Streaming

New England Industrial Metal Duo Invertia will self-release new album “The Biddings of Tyrants” on December 9th. Following 2014’s sophomore tour de force “Another Scheme of the Wicked” via Ohm Resistance, the forthcoming release sees Invertia taking its oppressive industrial metal to harsh new heights. “The Biddings of Tyrants” still retains the Invertia sound of industrial black metal with added elements of death metal and hardcore punk. The album as a whole, musically and lyrically, focuses on the world around us and its effect on the human psyche. However, each song is a different ‘Bidding’ from a different ‘Tyrant.’ Check out the new song “Dystopiate” in the player below.

Produced by Invertia, “The Biddings of Tyrants” again features the multi-talented tandem of Dave Coppola (vocals, guitars, bass, FX, samples) and Tim Winson (drum programming, synth, mixing/mastering). The album also features the drumming of Aaron Rossi (MINISTRY, PRONG) and Kevin Talley (Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Six Feet Under); the former performing on “Dystopiate,” “Non-Sunni,” and “The Forever Incision,” and the latter on “Scatter” and “Not for Taste.”

Truth Corroded Recording New Album

Australian thrash/death metal act Truth Corroded has started recording the band’s new, as-yet-untitled, album with session drummer Kevin Talley in San Antonio,Texas.

Talley was also featured on the band’s previous two albums, “Worship The Bled” and “The Saviours Slain” and has recently shared the stage with Truth Corroded in Europe and Asia last year.

“We have worked with Kevin for several years now,” comments bassist Greg Shaw. “Last year was the first time we had actually met in person while on tour in Asia and Europe as we have recorded our previous albums together in different countries. He has become a good friend and brings a definitive intensity to the Truth Corroded sound. The new album brings together elements of our past three albums and refines the best of what we have achieved and sharpens its delivery further, and Kevin’s continued contribution is a huge part of that.”

Truth Corroded will be finalizing the recording in Melbourne and Adelaide in Australia before mixing and mastering later in the year in the U.S. Further details on the recording will be released shortly.
