The Kennedy Veil Premieres New Song “Godslaughter” From Upcoming New Album “Imperium”

The Kennedy Veil premieres a new song entitled “Godslaughter”, taken from the upcoming new album “Imperium”, which will be out in stores October 20 via Unique Leader Records.

Check out now “Godslaughter” below.

Comments the group of the track:

“The opening lyric of ‘Godslaughter‘ simply states, ‘reclaim death.’ To us, it is a statement of remaining true to what the genre was built from, while still bringing our own ideas of modern death metal into the fold. From blast beats to slow, heavy parts, ‘Godslaughter‘ has something that we think all fans of the genre can sink their teeth into.”

New Album “Imperium” Detailed By The Kennedy Veil

California death metal legion The Kennedy Veil will release the newest full-length “Imperium” on October 20th via Unique Leader Records. The eight-track offering was produced, mixed, and mastered by Zack Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish et al) at Castle Ultimate Productions and features guest appearances by Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder, Sven de Caluwé of Aborted, and Dickie Allen of Infant Annihilator. It comes swathed in the cover art of Robert Cook (see it below).

The occult has been a construct within civilizations all over the world, varying in degree and modernity, but always present. Each individual culture derives its occultism from the dark myths that permeate within its subconscious hive mind. America as a culture — as an experiment — has been volatile since day one. Plagued by a history of genocide, slavery, and corruption, its burgeoning occult is in its fragile yet violent infancy. Imperium highlights themes of this encapsulation: That is, fear, myth, despair, and humanity’s inclination toward utter corruption.

Taking influence from a purer, more ancient evil of European descent, The Kennedy Veil has incorporated symphonic, blackened themes that parallel the lyrical aesthetic. Moving one step away from the more technical side and two steps into a deeper, darker, more blackened aggression.

Issues the band: “We are beyond excited to bring you our newest and greatest interpretation of darkness and intensity: ‘Imperium.’ This album shows our maturation not only as musicians but as individuals seeking truth amongst a never before seen landscape of obfuscation and evil. These eight songs came from our hands to warn of the oncoming desolation our culture is awaiting. We give you Imperium. A new chapter in The Kennedy Veil tome. Nowhere is safe.”

Preorders for Imperium will be available in the coming weeks. The track list is:

1. Godslaughter
2. Legacy Left
3. Hunted To Extinction
4. Draconian
5. Last Born
6. Flesh Of The Sun
7. Dawning Of Wrathful Deities
8. Seething Rot

Arkaik Reveals New Album “Nemethia”

Progressive tech death collective Arkaik will unleash “Nemethia” on September 29th via Unique Leader Records. A continuation on the conceptual saga of the two previous releases, on “Nemethia” the journey of Cyrix expands into new landscapes.

The band’s fourth full-length offering for Unique Leader was produced, engineered, and mixed by Zack Ohren at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California, and features guest appearances by Joe Haley of Psycroptic, Arde Ostowari formerly of Burning The Masses, Stephen Paulson of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, former Arkaik guitarist Craig Peters, as well as Gabe Seeber from The Kennedy Veil performing drums for the entire album.

The cover art and booklet was designed by artist Tyler Space, who worked with the band on previous release, “Lucid Dawn.” Said founding vocalist Jared Christianson of the record’s concept:

“This album fully sets the stage and builds on the story we started developing two albums ago with Cyrix and Metamorphignition. We’ve begun weaving together our own mythos of synchronicity and symbolism to encapsulate and distill the journey of the alchemist through the gnostic dream. It attempts to reveal through storytelling and allegory that we can experience real freedom and discover the inner treasures that guide us to who, what, and where we want to be, if we are willing to pull back the veil of lies blinding us from the truth of our nature.

“If I could sum up everything we’ve done so far, my personal journey and our message as a band in three words it would be the lyric ‘pain to power’ from the song ‘Telegnosis.’ To me, it’s about transmuting your struggles into strengths and refining your personal power and will. I really enjoyed making this album and hope people dig it!”

Nemethia by Arkaik

Adds guitarist Greg Paulson of the sound and songwriting process, “This is the most involved I’ve been on an Arkaik record so far. The songs are more thought out and meticulously crafted. I wanted to retain the sonic brutality Arkaik is known for, while introducing new elements to further expand on the band’s sound. I incorporated greater symphonic instrumentation throughout the record and utilized my classical background to add more depth and dynamics to the arrangements. The album is overall more complex, I even added some harmonized vocals to blend with Jared’s voice, making for some interesting layered textures. This is sure to be the most unique Arkaik album to date. I’m really proud of what we created and hope people enjoy it.”

1. Occultivation
2. Of Violence And Pestilence Born
3. Order Of The Hierogon
4. Dweller On The Threshold
5. Futile State
6. The Eupnean Relic
7. Lifting Amnesia
8. Telegnosis
9. Nexion Stargate

Monarchy continues the seasonal concept that began with spring on Rivers of Nihil‘s debut, The Conscious Seed of Light – this time, welcoming the oppressive summer heat. Adam Biggs, who also serves as the band’s primary lyricist, explains: “The Earth has been transformed into a vast desert wasteland, where after aeons of lifelessness, new beings begin to take shape and begin their journey as shepherds of the planet. But after a while, a class system forms from a sun-worshiping religious dictatorship, and these beings start to lose their way. Only the guidance of an ancient earthly force can help them save themselves as well the planet.”

Gloom Signs With eOne Music To Release “Solaris”

DC metal band Gloom just signed a worldwide deal with Entertainment One Music / Lifeblood Inc. and is releasing an all new track today titled “Cede” – listen in below. Gloom will release the “Solaris” full-length album on June 2nd, 2017.

“We couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Lifeblood and eOne family,” says the band. “We’ve been hunkered down working so hard that I don’t think the reality has set in for all of us. We’re just really grateful to have such high a quality team backing us.

“‘Solaris’ is our first full length and while we were writing the album we really wanted to bring all our individual influences to the table and create something dynamic. We really want to carve out our own niche in metal and ‘Solaris’ is a big step in that direction. For us, ‘Cede’ is a good musical representation of some of the different styles you’ll hear on the album. Lyrically, it’s about breaking the cycle of a bad on-off relationship I had for years and finding a place where I could grow out of those feelings.”

Furthermore, Gloom will open the Devastation on the Nation Festival tour throughout the U.S. and Canada from 5/19 – 6/11 alongside Cryptopsy, Decrepit Birth, Rivers of Nihil, The Zenith Passage, The Kennedy Veil, Visceral Disgorge, and Seeker.
