Wheel Posts New Music Video “Where The Pieces Lie” Online

Progressive metallers Wheel have shared the video for their new single, ‘Where The Pieces Lie’, the second track to be taken from their upcoming debut album, Moving Backwards, out February 22nd via Odyssey Music Network.

With beautifully shot black and white footage accentuating the jarring and pensive atmosphere of the track, the video sees the band perform amid violent outbursts of emotion. Throughout, intense verses build into explosive choruses, forming a fierce and unnerving work laden with suspense.

“We made the video for the song with the legendary Kakkis and Kimbe, who we have worked with several times before. We wanted to express the isolation, frustration, anger and bitterness in the lyrics through the video’s story and this was fantastically realised by Lassi Hurskainen, the video’s extremely pissed off protagonist,” the band explain.

“We wanted to juxtapose suspense with the internal struggle of our main character; who is clearly suffering and desperate for a release from his burdens. For many of us, life is turbulent, chaotic and isolating; there is nothing else to do but keep marching forwards.”

‘Where The Pieces Lie’ is the second track to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, Moving Backwards, following their debut single ‘Vultures’, which has already amassed over 250,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Varials Debuts New Song “E.D.A.” From Upcoming New Album “Pain Again”

Varials debuts a new song entitled “E.D.A.”, taken from the upcoming new album “Pain Again”, which will be out in stores later today via Fearless Records.

Check out now “E.D.A.” below.

Says the band’s vocalist Travis Tabron of the song:

“It stands for everyone dies alone. Imagine my state of mind after at the end of ‘Anything To Numb.’ I’m inebriated, and all of my internal problems have came back to my brain, and ghosts from my past have literally came back to haunt me, so it puts me in my most lowest point of downward thinking. But from the bottom, you get a completely different perspective of what it looks like to be at the top. Exactly why all of the lyrics are referential and play off of each other. You learn a lot about life when your friends start dying. You learn a lot about trust, when you’re left so lonely again.”

Internal Bleeding Announces New Drummer Kyle Eddy

On April 20th, Internal Bleeding drummer and veteran FDNY firefighter Bill Tolley passed away after falling five stories from a rooftop while battling a two-alarm apartment fire in Queens, New York.

The tragedy touched family, friends, his band mates, the city of New York, and the worldwide metal community. Many fans expressed concerns as to whether Internal Bleeding would continue. The band utilized the drum services of basher Kyle Eddy for “The Strike Of The Empire” U.S. tour with Vader and is now pleased to welcome Eddy as a permanent member.

Issues the band in a collective statement, “Losing a beloved friend and band mate has been a traumatic event for us, and needless to say, the past few months have been a roller coaster of conflicting emotions. But, through it all, there was never a thought given to packing this band up and calling it quits. There was no doubt in our mind that Bill would want the band to continue. As a matter of fact, he spoke about it numerous times with us. In short, he always said, ‘the band needs to go on.’

“We’re not quite sure how we managed, but we pulled off a full U.S. tour with a fill-in drummer who only had a few weeks to practice and get the set down. That drummer was upstate New York native, and death metal veteran Kyle Eddy. He did an amazing job learning the music, getting the set down, and fit in perfectly with our personalities. We had a great time with him on tour, and it felt like he’d been in the band for years – that’s how comfortable we were with him.

“Kyle is a true professional in every sense of the word. He is deeply dedicated to his craft and brings unrelenting enthusiasm and energy to the band. For those reasons — and many others — we have chosen him to become the new drummer for Internal Bleeding.

“Longtime fans of the band may remember seeing a much younger Kyle bashing the skins for Internal Bleeding during our second Onward To Mecca tour. He did a superb job then, and we’re supremely confident that his skills will help propel the band to new heights. It’s always painful to move forward after a tragic loss, but it must be done. We’ve decided that Kyle should be our new drummer, and we think – scratch that – we know that Bill would be really happy about our choice. Please welcome him to the Internal Bleeding fold!”

Adds Eddy: “It’s a honor to be accepted into the Internal Bleeding family. Lookout everyone – we are driven to conquer all!”

Andres Gimenez (vocals/guitar) comments: “This song talks about the internal root that we all have. It has two strands – one that spurs us to fight and grow stronger, and another that leads to apathy and doesn’t let us see our own inner value.”

De La Tierra is made up of Brazilian guitarist Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), Argentine singer/guitarist Andres Gimenez (A.N.I.M.A.L.), Argentine bassist Sr. Flavio (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and Cuban/Cololmbian drummer Alex Gonzalez (Maná).
